I had the next and I return it because of closing and opening mechanism issues, I now have Vertuo Plus and love it ( just gentle touch and will automatically open and close)

IMPORTANT !!! My Next machine would NOT WORK FOLLOWING THIS SUGGESTION of freeing the spinning disk, of clearing the nozzle into the capsule,of cleaning all around the capsule holder where the bar code reader is !! It would do the clean cycle AND the descale cycle, but, after all that...the same two ugly orange lights and failure !! I THEN saw a post urging people to install the Nespresso app on their phone ,or, tablet...then , make sure the machine connects to your wi-fi network...which I did! Once connected to wi-fi, I selected my machine...THEN, I pushed the button for "maintenance" and VOILA !!....it said " software up to date", and now my machine WORKS !!! The problem was a software glitch and connecting the machine to the app fixed it !!

I’d also like to double down on some others frustrations. In my own personal experience, this machine was garbage from day 1. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
It’s great when it actually works but not worth the frustration it provides
