      This phone number is of the van in which I traveled: 0818936131. There is another company that operates vans from Phuket airport: 0840652122. Hope it helps.

    If your flight is reaching at 10 pm than is this shared taxi or airport bus service available for patong

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  Рік тому

      The last airport bus leaves at 10.30 pm. If your flight arrives at 10.00 pm, you may not be able to get to the bus before it leaves. You may see the website of Phuket Smart Bus for more information. The shared van becomes doubtful after 6.00 pm due to the lesser availability of passengers. They need at least 10 passengers to make a shared trip. The taxi / shared van counters will be open. Once you approach them, the staff will tell if a shared van is available. Otherwise, a taxi can be hired for Patong at a price of 800 THB.

    Is there any limitations on luggage bags?

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  2 місяці тому

      @tejasshah64 They have limited space to keep bags in those vans. My guess is, one bag per passenger is always accepted, but more than one will depend on the space available and whether they want to charge someone for extra bags.

    Do they charges for kids of 3 years?

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  7 місяців тому

      Hi. My understanding is, if the kid can sit in your lap and does not need a seat, they may not charge. But I am not sure of this.

    Do these mini buses go to Ao nang, Krabi also?

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  Рік тому

      Hi. The airport shared mini buses do not go to Krabi. But you have other options.
      1. You can ask at the shared mini bus counter, if they can drop you in Phuket Town outside the Phuket Bus Terminal 2. From that bus terminal, you get a regular bus to Krabi between 7.00 AM and 10.00 PM (approximate timings). Tickets can be purchased at the bus terminal counters for the next available bus. That bus takes you to Krabi bus station, from where another mode of transport is needed to go to Ao Nang. Shared vans are available during the daytime.
      2. You can take the 8411 Airport Bus (100 Baht, 8.30 AM to 8.30 PM) to Phuket Town. The 8411 bus drops you at the Old Phuket Bus Terminal. If you can find a bus to Krabi from there, it is good. Otherwise, take some local transport and go to Phuket Bus Terminal 2.
      3. A shared mini bus service to Krabi is available from Phuket beach towns - Patong, Kata, Karon, etc., via local travel agents by doing an advance booking. I am uncertain if you can manage that from the airport.

    Dear Is it available in 24 hours ya ? I’ll stay in phuket town and he will drop me right in front of the hotel? Thank you 🙏🏻

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  Рік тому

      Hi. The shared van service from the airport does not operate 24 hours. The best chance of getting a shared van is between 8.00am and 6.00pm. It actually depends on the number of passengers available. They wait for at least 10 passengers. When you get to the airport, approach one of the counters that you see in the video, and inquire about the availability of the next van for Phuket town. There are two companies, and one of those will have a service available sooner than the other. If a van is available, you will get a drop to your hotel in Phuket town. The cost should be 150 Baht per person. You may try calling these two numbers I got for the van services, for more information: 0818936131, 0840652122. For Phuket town, there is also a big bus service that operates between 5 am and 7 pm. I think it costs 100 Baht, but hotel drop is not included. It drops at a bus station in town. I have not used this big bus, but got the info online. Again, when you reach the airport, go to a van counter and ask the staff for available options at that time.

    Was kostet ein Transfer vom Flughafen nach Kamala ?
    Danke

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  7 місяців тому +1

      @alexmalikow8854 If you are at the airport between 8.15 AM and 10.30 PM, you can take the Phuket Smart Bus to Kamala at 100 Baht per person. Taxi transfer is available 24 hours from the same shared van counters you see in this video, The current fare will be displayed there, and it may be close to 800 or 900 Baht. A little bit of bargaining is possible.

      @alexmalikow8854 I have stayed in two budget hotels in Ao Nang, but there was nothing remarkable about those. I am afraid I can't help with hotel selection in Krabi or Koh PhiPhi. Please try Agoda, and read guest reviews carefully (sort the reviews by "Recent First")

    We are 04 family members myself and my wife and two kids . waiting for the mini sharing bus would take Long.. with 04 bags what would be better to Get dropped at our Hotel near Bang Tao Beach area..??

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  Рік тому

      Well, the best option will be to take a taxi. Approach the shared bus counter, because they operate taxi service too. They have a fixed rate card for different areas, and will not overcharge you. You may need an SUV cab because of the 4 bags, but it will likely cost the same as a sedan.

      Yes, you have to go to the shared mini bus / mini van counter. They will charge 1200 Baht for a private van or SUV to Bangtao, and will drop you at Diamond Resort. The resort is just 700 meters from Bangtao Beach.

    Don't use these shared mini buses - they are a scam and stop at other locations trying/pressuring you to sell you stuff. The last thing you need after a long flight!!. You have been warned

    • @desiyatri
      @desiyatri  11 місяців тому +2

      Hi Ashley. Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes, the shared van stops at the company office on the way. At this office, they ask the name of your hotel where you need the drop. They also try to sell tours. Every time they asked me, I ended the discussion with a polite "No". I have taken this shared ride half a dozen times, but was never pressured to buy anything. You have been unlucky. May be you can take a private transfer next time or use the smart bus.
