- My hotel said there was a bus that stops right by my hotel from the airport... But I found the best ground transportation options and made it happen. Check out this vlog for the info. 😂
I’m sorry I’m not going thru ALL that JUST to pay a measly 500 baht less ESPECIALLY if im with my old mom. I’m getting the taxi…and it was raining!
Someone to say this at last! I would much rather go and crash in my bed after long flight than haggling Over this.
it's a matter of experience. I understand why one would do either way. I took minibus for 180 bath, but if I'm going there again I will probably try the bus.
they cheap they pay for hotel adn flight ticket , but not 500 baht one time in airport , i dont get it why most western so cheap just pay 500 comfort ur mom , then in phuket use bolt app and stuff or even use bolt for airport
i tried that before paid $180 baht to patong ,, stop on the way to get your hotel details + plus offering you tour, i just say i already booked for tour lol , and it actually drop me very close to my hotel or sometimes at the entry of the hotel ,, it takes a bit longer time but it doesn't matter.
Just catch a decent taxi, it is 1000bht to Karon Beach quick and easy. After flying long distances you do not want to be stuffed around and the cheap busses can be quite slow and the fellow passengers obnoxious. I was there in May 2024 and have been going there for years and tried all options

@@jasonruppextras8313 jason.i got Limousine from Phuket to Bangtao 1000baht🤯 wouldn't have paid that but couldn't wait to get to resort and not seen family for 3 years so just wanted to get there.i could have got a coach when passing Phuket airport but could take up to 2 hours apparently for 100baht but was extremely 🥵🔥🥵 Thanks for replying anyway pal .😉💯🤓

As someone who has been to Thailand a hundred times (literally) you made two errors. First, you obviously did no research on transportation at Phuket Airport regarding the Smartbus. If you had, you would've found the Smartbus website that would've given you the schedule and exact location where to pick up the bus. In addition, there are numerous UA-cam videos of travelers documenting how to get the Smartbus. Second, never talk to airport touts. Do not acknowledge their existence. They are insect predators looking for a sucker who will use them. They will lie to you and tell you the buses are not running or there is no bus. Be smart. Never go to any SE Asian city without having a plan and Googling transport, costs, etc. Guaranteed someone has been there - done that and has made a video or website about it.

Just returned from Phuket, Thailand last month.
Upon checking out to fly back home to Malaysia, Customs check, confiscated my phone charger and took them away?
It was OK when I brought it in and travelled to Indonesia before with the same phone charger.
Not returning into Phuket ever

The smart bus worked well for me last month. Was a comfortable ride into town granted weather conditions were favourable

As someone who has visited over 60 countries on 6 different continents… do yourself a favor and book airport pickup before you arrive… they will be waiting for you in arrivals with your name on a sign…
