Ever Not enough consonant sounds. Especially with how the last two slur together the way R’s do. With the “over” sound you’d need a distinct separation or a pause. That and the mental gymnastics you’d need to do to hear the very sharp and short “it’s” over a simple open-ended “the” sound “It’s over” would make a lot more sense, (and I always personally thought it was maybe something in Italian?) but if it’s between these two there’s absolutely no way it’s anything other than “the horror”

Easily the funniest TAS I've ever seen. I especially liked how they placed that durian, with the precision of an actual strat, just so they could bounce on it in a cutscene. Wait...that didn't let them collect the shine sooner, did it?? Also, I'm curious: some of the stage entrances, like at 44:42 , seemed like they were wasting time. Were they skipping some animation when they did that?
That durian bounce does save time actually because you can collect the shine and land faster. Also you have to wait a while for the loading zone to become active.
playing the floor is lava the mission right before the floor is literally lava, and then proceeding to fly directly through the lava afterwards. absolute perfection.
One thing I noticed watching through is that Mario only refilled his tank in water twice during the whole run. Once during the manta fight, and once during the boat ride through corona mountain. That's it. Everything else was done solely with scripted refills like entering the level in the first place.
So at 33:45, I understand that they're doing a trick to clip into Pinna Park with a Yoshi and skip shine 5. What I don't understand is why they then wait on top of a slow-moving floating block rather than simply running up to the carousel. Does anyone know why?

I think for the one that you mentioned, the level portal takes a second to become active.

I just watched the utter decimation of my favorite game ever. And it was glorious.
This tas guy is a true Gamer, nobody knew how to beat him at anything, not even the police, and I knew this guy in highschool
