@@harrisonmoore3841 Well yes, but actually not quite. "Not hitting them" awards you with the bonus Merciful Master (which, if you're careful enough to notice, is purposefully shown after the end of every round via scrolling down the list). The Switzerland bonus, however, if l understand correctly, *is when you perform no attacks at all -- even missed ones.*
Reminder that there's a Special Bonus called "Merciful Master", which can be earned from winning a match without do any damage to an opponent. This TAS will make sure to scroll the Special Bonus list to see that Bonus every match.
@@Mister_Clean lol it still does for me every time it happens in Ultimate, partially because both of my mains (the 1980 guys) have shenanigans they can do with them and partially because it's just funny
i like how you can see at 4:05 that fox's AI sd's because he's trying to reach the nearest platform, which happens to be the one offscreen above the start of the stage. very fun ai manip there
This brings memories where I tried to get every pacifist bonus in SSB64 in one run but just couldn't do it, though I think I got them at lest once separately except for polygon team, they were just too much, and too many XD I got stuck with the question: is there a end-game pacifist bonus? Cause you just can't do it against Master Hand... Or can you?! 🤔
I'm pretty sure the reason PTAS picked All-Star is because it's notoriously difficult on Very Hard anyway-launch distance modifiers everywhere and you keep your damage after clearing a stage with only three chances to heal, and also those 25 G&W's at the end...
So, we're applying the Undertale formula to other games now? Cool. D: In this video, Luigi wins by hitting absolutely nothing. 4:15: Friendly reminder that I miss Infinite Glacier and wish it had returned in Ultimate. :(
Maybe you can find the answer from the creator of this TAS. ua-cam.com/video/dZIi_boUgz8/v-deo.html He knew which stages were easier to trick the CPUs into killing themselves, so he just had to find which RNG made all the stages he needed to appear.
You just had to manipulate the RNG for literally HALF a MINUTE before going into the real action, yeesh. Sometimes people just deliberately make RNG manipulation more and more complicated as newer gen video game consoles are made. They must of known the existence of such a trick and were destined to circumvent it. Also, ALL-STARRRR.
I love the fact that there's a special bonus called "Switzerland".
Pure brilliance.
Asking just in case, this means he didn’t hit them, right?

@@drowsemary No, if this was true then Switzerland would have appeared a lot more
@@jayninja2747 no, Luigi can't attack at all and not get hit to get the Switzerland bonus, but the tas uses some attacks to manipulate the AI

he did hit someone it just invisible.
Luigi wins by doing things
and yet he can still hit daisy lmao

i hate that it’s only worth 3000 points after all that effort
Isn't there also the Switzerland bonus which is worth 12000?

Luigi: 🇨🇭

Now THAT is what I call taking a walk off of a short pier...
That Mr. Game And Watch fight was epic. Luigi did a whole lot of nothing!
[Alternate Title]
Luigi wins by performing convoluted shenanigans that make everyone else forget about the very concept of self-preservation.
Something than other gamer found is the ai in hard mode os super aggresive, also forgets the life concept (in ultimate is more agrro too!)
Convoluted should note an asterisk, I mean you saw how Bowser just accepted death after Luigi moved 2 steps forward
@@Chaos_Lemon
Yeah, I probably should have gone with "very specific" instead x)
Congratulation for this for this Amazing TAS ! :D
What a wonderfully entertaining watch this has been!
I was wondering how you were going to deal with Mr Game and Watch before the arena just began too explode around you, which certainly helped.

Thanks for the description. I had't idea what is this weird game or those characters.
Why is there a bonus called Switzerland, and why is it worth 12000 points?
From the SSBM wiki:
Never attacked (including misses) and never took any damage
Switzerland is a neutral nation.
Team Luigi always wins. As it should.
Nice record, by the way.
Another Luigi doing Absolutely Nothing? Ok that Dope.
Oh Luigi Wins by doing absolutely nothing (more or less)
And including All the credits perfect shooting
Amazing run 👏👏👏
Luigi using 10% of his power to convince everyone to die

"Wow! Incredible!" indeed.
The ultimate *Luigi wins by doing nothing, but its something
