HOW TO MAKE A DORM ROOM FOR FAYBELLE THORN & BUNNY BLANC [EVER AFTER HIGH]

- My Ever After High dorm room for my daughter's Faybelle Thorn and Bunny Blanc dolls is finally done! I worked really hard on this video, and I hope you all like it. It's not only about how I made this particular Faybelle & Bunny diorama, but also about how sometimes being roommates with someone very different from you can be very difficult.
In Ever After High's book, "Fairy's Got Talent," by Suzanne Selfors, we get a deeper look into the character of Faybelle Thorn. Faybelle is a very complicated character - she's overachieving, ambitious, and desperately wants the approval of her mother, the Dark Fairy. She also is very lonely inside, and is constantly seeking attention and wants to be liked. Whenever she isn't invited to something - a family curse - Faybelle gets deeply hurt and lashes out by "taking revenge."
In the book, we also find out that she and her roommate, Bunny Blanc, don't exactly see eye to eye or get along. I thought I'd bring that experience to life a little more fully in this video, as well as explore how Bunny might resolve her sticky roommate situation and connect with Faybelle. I primarily make these little skits for my 5-year-old daughter to sneak in some "life lessons," and I so appreciate Mattel for making this wonderful line of Ever After High dolls to help me do so.
Now, onto their dorm room:
Faybelle Thorn's side:
* Faybelle's wallpaper is a custom wallpaper I created from a ColourLovers.com palette and pattern, which I then took to Spoonflower.com to get printed.
* Faybelle's carpet is teal-colored felt from Joann Fabrics.
* Faybelle's trim is black chiffon trim on bottom and teal chiffon trim on top.
* Faybelle's shelves are from Michaels, and all I did was paint them teal and bright blue.
* Faybelle's trophies are an assortment I bought from various eBay sellers. I found them by searching, "trophies for Barbie dolls."
* Faybelle's window frame is from Hobby Lobby, and her curtains use fabric and trims that I already used in her bed. For how I made this version of Faybelle's bed, check out this video: • FAYBELLE THORN DOLL BE...
* The screen dividing Faybelle from Bunny is one I found at Hobby Lobby. I painted it black on both sides (the frame), but painted the flowers on Faybelle's side teal and those on Bunny's side white.
Bunny Blanc's side:
* Bunny's wallpaper is printed from Spoonflower.com - I didn't design it, as it was offered by someone on the site.
* Bunny's carpet is black-and-white checkered felt.
* Bunny's trims are a designer white fur from Darice.
* Bunny's nightstand is a jewelry box from Joann Fabrics (I think), elevated with 4 blocks. I painted those mint-green and pink.
* Bunny's window frame is from Hobby Lobby, and her curtains are from Joann Fabrics. Her tassels are also from Hobby Lobby, and the white bunny tail balls are from Joann Fabrics.
* Bunny's picture frames are laser cut frames from Michaels, and the cutouts are from Bunny and Alistair's signature doll boxes, as well as their Carnival Date box.
* Bunny's nightstand decor includes a dollhouse plant from Hobby Lobby and carrots from a store called "Embellishment Buttons" on Etsy. I think they're technically for a 1:12 scale dollhouse, but they still look fine with Bunny.
* Bunny's wall decor is timepiece charms from Michaels.

YESSSSSSSS!! I love Faybelle's side so much! Bunny's side is awesome too, but Faybelle is my favorite doll! (I'm sorry for repeating this so many times but I love her doll so much!)
I hope they make another Faybelle doll. She doesn't get much love when it comes to dolls. Maybe they could make a cheerhexing finals line or something like that.

There are more dolls that need rooms, but right now they don't have their official EAH roommates released, such as Alistair, Justine, and Farrah. And I could probably make a dorm room for Courtly and Mira, even though they're not official EAH roommates, LOL.

What I wanted to show my daughter is that we can't pick our roommates or classmates sometimes, and we need to find a way to "cross the chasm" and develop connections with people who are very different from us. I like Bunny's room a lot, but I also like Faybelle's room - I can't decide which one is my favourite.
Bunny's wallpaper is gorgeous, and I love the idea of having Faybelle's shelves so she can display her trophies! Having the screen to separate their sides of the room is cool.
And, as for their beds, I like them equally as well!

This video is AMAZING. Bunny's side was mg favorite,idk why. I💖💖💖💖💖💖 the skits, I can sort of connect. Once,I was at a boarding school,and my roommate didn't like me. I invited her to events,hang out and things. Then I saw that she liked a band I liked(black veil brides) and we connected a little ,now she one of my besties.

I think I like your role play in this video when you made the dorm room for Faybelle and Bunny. So after you get done making the dorm rooms, then you start making life lessons that involve Ever After High.

I'm glad bunny and faybelle made friends lol ! for bunny I got this little ceramic ( I think ) bunny , removed the old paint and repainted it in a mint green and light pink , it doesn't look a lot like something that would belong to bunny but yeah .like I said before your dorm room looks amazing and awesome , also the trophies on faybelle's side are an awesome touch !!!
