Redhead wasn’t missing. I can never understand why he wasn’t bigger and listen back for the first time I was 11 when this came out. I still don’t understand why. Each single was a bop or a banger.
Simple: He was on the wrong label. Virgin has had a long history of not properly promoting their hip hop acts. Kid Frost was his labelmate and look at how they did him.
What a song!! I have been looking for this song for well over 10 years now, then it struck me that I could possible find it on you-tube. It definitely has made my morning!!I I remember listening to this song 1990 with my late friend Ma-Gabuza, I miss you man!! May your sould rest in peace!
My old cassette mix tape (before playlists) I had this one followed immeditately by Forever in Your Eyes by Mint Condition. Dunno why I always remember that cut.
i still got this whole cassette in my old shoe box ' brought it just for this one love song"""because of Denise williams' song in the backgound"" 1990 aprill"" in high school"""
That's what I like about him. He walked the line and didn't take himself too seriously with songs like this one. But, sometimes if you didn't see the video you don't get that element right away. Enjoyable music either way.
@iluvmyboba I'm 24 this year and I remember listening to this song and the others off my older brother's old cassette (omfg does those exist anymore?) I grew up in the wrong era. Got stuck with 15cents and Puff Daddy.... or P Diddy or whatever the hell he's calling him self now.
@caraccino Absolutely! I was in high school at the time and miss this kind of music. It showed that a hip-hop song about a woman didn't have to refer to her as a, uh, dog or garden tool. And the model representing said female didn't have to be barely clothed. Also the song and video are mad sexy without unnecessary, pornographic content. This is what the game's been missing.
@musiclvr76 You're right. Puff Daddy doesn't suck, it's just he annoys me now? And yes! You speak my language. Jodeci and Keith Sweat are constantly being replayed on my computer.
This one cracks me up. It's half serious and half tongue-in-cheek. The way it starts out fast and he makes DJ Wild Style slow it down...then it ends with him jokingly saying "I guess this is the part where I say 'I love you'." I really don't think you should have your "Created by Drewm7326" on this since you didn't create the video, you just uploaded it...just sayin'.
I've been looking for this some for so damned long!!! Thank You!!
When We Were Young! 😌
I had this on cassette. I played it over, and oner, and over, again.

I agree his voice is lovely.
The Trey Lorenz wiki made me come here. I couldn't remember him in the video. That's bc he's not there. Lol.

So we not gonna acknowledge the suicide on the latter behind him? Lol
Who committed suicide? & checkout Behind That Suit for reviews of real hip hop albums, join & request.
Gay
The song isn't meant to be taken seriously.
Thats the whole point, its a joke, piece of crap song
Lucky Rocket
So you have to be serious in hip hop all the time?
Hell, this isn't even a pure hip hop song, it's new jack swing with rapping.
Its definately jack Lol
In 1991, liking the opposite sex wasn’t gay.
