    This song hit so hard for me when it came out. I was home from school for the holidays and my boyfriend at the time and I were ending our relationship. I started to see more of the world outside of Harlem and he thought that I went to college and switched up. Bittersweet memories at best!! He would lose his life the following summer in 1989. Rest In Peace Moe!!! Bittersweet memories of a young love. Much love from Harlem NYC ❤️❤️❤️

I too have lost friends even some from New York who came to CT to hustle. I've experienced alot in my 45 years of bein on Earth.     A 70s baby. I was 13 when this song came out in '88. The days when we wore striped colored biker shorts w/ color t-shirts to match. I had "Teenage Love" printed on the back of my t-shirt as a teenager. I'm blessed to have grown up in this era. Good music and good wholesome fun.

      Nj99 That's so true, I never knew my father, and I WISH I NEVER knew my stepfather. He was an alcoholic, heavy drug user, and he beat our mother for years, she never left. I have such an awful opinion about black men. I never trusted them, couldn't get close enough to them because the pain I experienced as a child. I don't know what a healthy relationship is with a black man.

      @Tyrant Jesus, well they divorced, but that still didn't end the craziness, he had to move out, but our mother would let him come around, especially when she needed money, and, about 15 years later, they REMARRIED, on his BIRTHDAY, of all days!!!
      They are both well into their 70's, in fact my mom will be 76 tomorrow, their health is failing, I don't think they ever loved one another, I just think over the years, they just learned to tolerate the other, but none of that even matters, our childhood was ruined, and those are years we will never get back, I resent them both, and as a result, I am not close to either of them, and although they live less than 10 minutes from me, I rarely see them

    Man, I'm SO glad I'm a 70's baby and got to enjoy the GLORY years of hip hop in the 80's/90's!
    I remember cutting grass to make money and standing in the record store for HOURS on Tuesdays with my LAST $15 dollars trying to figure out which album to spend it on. EVERYBODY was putting out quality music.
    Now, at 41, I have a LOT more money on me and don't wanna buy ANY of these trash ass rappers' albums.

    As many times as I watched this video, didnt realize that Lil Kim was in this video. Glad I’m a 70’s baby ! Back when you didn’t have to be a video vixen to be in a music video. I have a newfound appreciation.
