Gorgeous & this color has grown on me more & more after thinking I wanted the Panda at first. The sand gold dial is interesting & different while being cool vintage & the proportions are fantastic
I had the Panda for around 2 yrs and honestly no complaints… that black coating on the bezel is robust and can withstand some abuse… lovely watch… I sold the panda for this colour
I was waiting for your review of this one, because it looks very nice. I think that this color combination is pretty interesting. This could be a nice and not too expensive chrono to add to my collection in the future.
I like the color. It's different. Good move from Seiko to upgrade the crystal. The Solar movement is great, I have it on my Save The Ocean Diver, but perhaps a meca quartz could be a better choice. The action of the pushers of a meca quartz is so much better. Skip the date, it doesn't do right on the dial. Do I see a missalignement of the second hand? It's a Seiko after all... The clasp is better than a stamped one, but I would like to see a more integrated bracelet with the watch design and brushing direction. I would inmidiately change it for a rally strap. Thanks for the review!
Great review...awesome design anyway. It looks like a resemblance of Rolex Daytona special edition "Paul Newman"...Worth considering this Seiko solar chronograph.
Its funny how many people have no idea what the 24 hour dial is for. I want it so i can track my 24 hour races i watch. Because they are in different time zones. Itd be perfect to look at that dial and know how much is left in the race.
@@GeorgeUK84 you off set the watch and it meets 24 hours in total for your time zone vs their’s. It can get confusing watching 24 hour races without one
I was quite interested in this watch until I saw the closeups- the finishing is rough, and the case design is very much a simple slab of metal, it's missing the extra contours and refinements that make for a quality design rather than an effort in cost cutting. At this price point and lower, Citizen offers much more in terms of both design and finish, not to mention they have the best solar movements around.
@@TheBoldHairspring is this watch not solar powered? AFAIK the watch will run for around six months when it is full charged. But of course when you wear it outside it will charge automatically so it will probably never run out as long as you wear it periodically. My guess is that the quartz movement should last 20-30 years before it needs to be serviced or replaced.
@@BosworthMcG ah yes, when I answered @SuperDeadRooster I must've thought about the vk mechaquartz movement. You're correct, as I said at 4:29 this one is solar and on full charge it will run for about 6 months.

It's a very nice colour indeed. In perdon It's even better. Enjoy wearing it 😊

Absolutely 👏🏻
The watch offers a lot for the price, excellent model. I also think it's more beautiful than white.
I bought this today and yes I did chose the honey comb colour over the panda ..... I love it
Congrats! It's a great little chronograph. Enjoy wearing it.
I assume that with a rally style strap it will take it to another level.
Very nice!
You're probably right.

I agree with pretty much everything you say.
@haping1 Bought mine today 11/07/23. Just like you noticed mine has a misalignment of the seconds hand.
@@jayevan3295 Congrats! It's a great looking watch. Enjoy! I would realign the seconds hand myself. But some don't have a problem with that.
Man, I got the white one and I wish I would’ve gotten the tan/yellow one

Thank you 😊. The ice blue dial version of this model is also very nice.
I have both the black and the panda but I think I prefer the all black. Classic black on steel always wears great for me.
Great! Yeah the black very nice. Saw it at the AD.

@@GeorgeUK84 but i wrote that before i learned the 24 hour dial isnt actually 24 hours. Sadge. I was gonna buy one
Just bought one .so excited to get. Stunning watch
Congrats! Enjoy wearing it :)
Thanks
I love this watch😍😍
surprised to have see the shu iro at the end! i have that and am thinking about getting the 817 hahaha
It's a bit expensive but together with the night vision it's one of nicest samurais in my opinion.
Got one myself today, great video.
Thank you and congratulations on your new watch.
I like that color.
Such a lovely well made watch for a cheap price
Any better looking solar than this?
so if you wanna see the seconds tick the stopwatch has to be running?
Hi Nelson, the subdial at 9 show the seconds even if rhe stopwatch is not running . See 2:50
@@TheBoldHairspring well, i know that.. i guess it would defeat the purpose if it could. just wondering why.. not. haha.
@@typerightseesight huh?
You mentioned a site you get your replacement straps from? Could you please link it? Love the vid!!
I like how Bold Hairspring hearted your comment but didn't answer your question lol
Lol sorry! I totally forgot to answer. www.strapcode.com/
Which camera do you use for your videos?
Hi Богдан, I use a Sony A6400

why does the seiko page says its not sapphire?
Might be a mistake. It's definitely sapphire though.
How long would this watch run for if you took great care of it? Thanks 😀
The battery will last about 3-4 years while the watch itself would probably outlive you 😅.

seen this little bugger behind a shopping window today. quite nice, for a seiko.
And the bigger model is also very nice.

I ADORE mine…date is SO SMALL!!! 😂
Gracias amigo!
I got the panda and now I kinda regret it
Why is that? You like this colour more 😅?
