I was hoping to see how it was to press the buttons at the back as I like to hit the back buttons rather than face so I can keep my thumbs on the stick. This was a great review, but wish that part was covered!
I got mine today and I can say the back buttons are great! I’ve had all the pro controllers and this controller takes the cake by far. Especially for the price point
My only complaint on the V4P is the inconsistent stick tension. At max setting my left analogue stick is much tighter than my right stick. I would've liked the tighter tension on my right stick for aiming.
from now on they could always improve "base stats" such as weight, quality, battery life, or even price! they could always add more colors or form factors even. I actually prefer the dualsense's shape over the xbox's but we all know that sony tends to bring down the hammer on those things
i’ve gotten 2 vader 4 pros now and both came with a left trigger stop that had some play before the click. like a little bit of travel, then click. only on the left triggers. is this just a quality control issue? before i order a third i want to confirm someone has one with equal trigger stops lol
can you use the aftermarket replaceable thumbsticks? i see these say comaptible with apex 4 and vader 3 but for some reason didnt say vader 4. i like taller one on right stick.
@@RetroBreezeYT That's great! I think I'm gonna pick it up soon, because it looks pretty solid compared to Xbox Elite or DualSense Edge which are 3-4 times the price of Vader 4 Pro. It's a shame that a regular DualSense controller doesn't have back buttons. I remember playing The Witcher 3 on a controller. On a keyboard you could access various menus/screens directly with a single hotkey, but on a controller you had to go through an extra menu. So if I could eg. map the 'm' button to one of the extra buttons on the controller to open a map directly without going through an extra menu, that would be sick :D Especially since there are 6 extra buttons on Vader 4 Pro. Mapping Quick Save / Quick load would also be great. Noice.
@@silviocaeiro7158 unfortunately I don't own an Xbox, but I'm doubtful it will work because Microsoft makes it very difficult for third party accessory manufacturers.
Does anyone have weak vibration in nintendo switch mode (d input) like my v4p? I even max the vibration but it can't vibrate as strong compare to the pc mode (x input)
Rubber decays over time and gets very sticky and gross, so any controller with rubber will not last the test of time. You can by rubber adhesive kits for this controller on AliExpress though!
Historically FlyDigi limited editions have been very limited. At least overseas because usually their license for whatever properties are valid in China only.
@@RetroBreezeYT you mean if game supports it not me activating it because on the regular dongle mode or wired you activate gyro by mapping it to back button to turn it on. Unlike switch mode I don’t think it’s possible which is a big downside

Really great, thorough review! Definitely considering this as my next pc controller
Glad you liked it!

Adjustable stick tension just breaks my little lizard brain...
It’s the best
It's crazy but I love it!
whish that v shape ambient light would represent battery charge sstate
Good point, but at least the dinky little led on the front does the job 😅
you must try the new big big won blitz 2 which has the NEW TMR STICKS!!!!
I came to find out about the back buttons, but very little mention.
Why is there a promo controller for a 10 year old game?
I was wondering the same thing 😅
Please how can you enable the gyrscope on direwolf 2 on phones ??
What adapter are you using to connect dongle to iPad.
Why don't you even mention the outer ring deadzone? It's kind of unacceptable atm.
At 7:50, the software page in video is for apex 4 or vader 4?
The clip is an example from my Apex 4 review, but the software is the same for the Vader 4 Pro

Yes, they're the same sticks as the Apex 4 and Vader 3 🙂
@@RetroBreezeYT just got my vader4 pro and it’s by far the best yet. I love this thing
Is it possible to assign keyboard keys to back buttons? For example, can I assign escape key to M1 back button?
Yes you can using the FlyDigi Space Station software! You can even assign the mouse to the analog sticks.

Is the dongle included? I play on Xbox and I don't know if it's compatible
It is included, but I'm not sure if it's Xbox compatible.
@@RetroBreezeYT It's a shame it doesn't..it seems like a good control to me. Is there any way to make a video and test if it works?

I have the controller and gulikit Goku on the way I'll let you know if it works
Has the 20 percent outer deadzone been fixed?
Does it has hall sensor sticks?
Yes it does!
@@RetroBreezeYT not to mention it has its own design and dosent have tension springs so its 100 stick drift proof

How can I make it work on console.
Rubber grips would have been nicer than hard plastic

@RetroBreezeYT replacement grips are probably smarter. I do like the thick grips on the apex 4 though.
cant download the software website is unsecure so all in all a fail
loud controller? with a headset i doubt anyone will notice that lol
I'm more thinking your family around you!
Are thumbsticks removable?
Yes and compatible with Vader 3/Apex 4 sticks.
I can pretty much guarantee that that "only making 500" assassins creed controllers is just a straight up lie.
