Hey Art love the content as always. Definitely going to order this soon, but what thumbstick extender/grip are you using in the video? Currently on a series 2 controller and it has an extended thumbstick so I'll need to get something for the Vader and yours looks nice and comfortable too.
I purchased and tried to use the Apex 4 controller you recommended but I could not get over the back button placement. I can easily use all 4 back paddles using different fingers for each on Xbox's Elite controller, but the Apex and Vader back button placement doesn't allow for that :/ I liked the Apex 4 in all other aspects but that was a dealbreaker for me

Can you describe a simple test to feel the effects of circularity in game? I see the test you did, and it's impressive, I'm just having a hard time distinguishing this setting on with any other pro controller. Great work and keep it up, AIW!
the controller is absolutely great, but the position for the C and Z should be other, may be like wolverine v3 pro (close to the triggers) or scuf envision pro (on the left and right side of the controller), so you can remap those and use them in FPS game without release the right and left sticks, BUT FOR FIGHTING GAMES ARE GREAT....
Really love the APEX 4, but looking forward to receiving the Vader 4 pro for the hard trigger stops, the extra buttons, and better functionality. I just wish they would have used the same grip material as the Apex 4, and I was fine paying the higher price for the better materials, I also wish they would have their own extra sticks like the Xbox Elite controllers, even if it's an add on purchase. I like the kontrol freaks but would prefer a first party solution. Definitely love that the tension is now adjust on demand instead of the tool and popping off the top half of the case.
The only software changes I noticed is that the controller is 10x more buggy than the apex 4. The top 2 rear buttons dont work 90% of the time, joysticks input random values and drift, the C and Z only work 90% of the time too. Not to mention, where are the rubber grips? I mean seriously, if $40-60 come with rubber grips and similar specs, this $80 controller very well should do the same...
Just bought it. I love these controllers ever since I seen the apex 4 video you did, I have been using these controllers. No more $300 SCUFs that break in 2-3 months every time and have to be sent in for repair. Thanks for making these videos their awesome.
I have had the Apex 4 for about 5 months now, still love it and is easily best controller I have ever used. However, would recommend the Vader 4 purely for the price to feature ratio, $80 is insane for what you are getting.
What are your thoughts on the actual latency of the sticks and buttons as shown by John Punch and Gamepadla? Seems like standard ps5 controller has less latency when overclocked
Hello, will I be able to play COD via steam with the vader 4 pro? As in all buttons are available, usable and remapping supported? Or do I have to do it over battlenet.
I'm told this feature will be added to the Apex in the future with a software update but for now, the circularity/rectangularity option is only on the Vader 4 Pro
Xbox shape hurts my hands after gaming. It's a case by case thing. Not everyone's hands are the same. I have large hands and find the dual sense edge to be the most comfortable. I'd rather a more feature filled controller in that styling.
@GFG2gifted the inward thumb sticks give me horrible thumb cramps and it's just the worst, at least that was my experience with the ps2 controller back in the day and I have no intention to switch back, especially when all the good controllers are in the xbox layout
@@n64slayer dual sense edge has the best DAC of any controller to date... You're clearly just biased and not looking at the real facts. The dual sense edge has heaps of features that eclipses all first party offerings by Microsoft. If you haven't ever experienced adapter triggers and the haptic feedback system you're just missing out. Playing ratchet and clank of the dual sense is and was a game changer to me and many others. No Xbox controller can do that... So if it's really just formfactor. At the end of the day, the Xbox controller layout hurts my hands... But don't dare say it's more feature packed and better. Because it's not.
Super helpful video I've had a tab saved for the Apex waiting to pull the trigger mostly waiting to see what aim assist will look like in BO6 because if it's the same as it is now with omni movement added on top MnK (especially with the seemingly increased reg issues this season) is going to be a dead input type for Activision games
What up Art! As always lovely review, bringing the tech specs to the lay folk. Have you or anyone else heard of bans from using this controller? Reading through some Amazon and r/ reviews I noticed it was brought up a few times (though perhaps those people had more going on in the background). Thanks!
Somehow mine has drift even after calibrating it and it showing dead center in the calibration section. No idea how this is possible but its still an incredible controller.
Art thanks for all the hard work... I just got my controller today and am having trouble binding dive to the "c" button on the front. I want it to be my dive button so I can get away from the hybrid. I went into advanced movement settings and made the dive feature the alt button. Then I changed to slide only in warzone. The dive button will not work and I feel like I have tried everything... please help. Thanks. PS so far the controller is sweeeet!
How does the tension in the joy sticks compare to a ps5 duel sense edge? Because I currently use a duel sense edge and really like the tension but wish it was a little bit stronger.
Will Flydigi be updating Apex 4 software to have the circular form for sticks? And 1000% agree that the front extra buttons should be on the sides like the Scuf Envision. Would make this an endgame controller.
I'm afraid this is something they can't do, otherwise they have already updated it. I have Apex 4 and it's a bummer that we can't have the Vadder 4 functionalities
Just ordered one of these and the grip take, just sending the Razer Wolverine 3 Pro back as I didnt like the dead zones on it, they missed with it as everything else was good
Art, I care a lot about your opinion. I believe it would be a good idea to do a comparison between the 8Bitdo Ultimate controller and the one you mentioned here. I currently use the 8Bitdo and I haven’t had any issues for about 2 years now. Great video btw

What is Warzone's policy on using the fligi software macro in game? Things like turning semi auto guns full auto are clearly cheating but what about things like binding buttons to auto navigate buystations with 1 button press.
Macros are against TOS no matter how they're achieved. Mice, keyboards, and other controller have been able to do this for a long time. Don't. They can tell.
@@ArtisWar Just to be clear, as long as we stick to just remapping (1 controler input to 1 controler/keyboard output) warzone won't have any issue? Been using the vader 3 pro and considering getting the vader 4 pro later on but I want to know if warzone will consider flidigi software as cheating software even if I don't use the marco features it has. Never used any macros at all and I stick to just remapping but since warzone lets keyboards have more features like dedicated reload and prone buttons it's a bit unclear from the terms of service if this is a "competitive advantage" or if it's completely fine. It would really suck for someone to get banned even without using macros simply because the anti-cheat detects flidigi as cheat software.
Do you think if keeping the software open for like you said for the keyboard binds in warzone could potentially get flagged by anti cheat/shadow bans? Because obviosuly once you open it the first time it’s always open in the background/taskmanager?? Just got mine really impressed with it so far as a fast paced sweaty warzone player
The main things i need is back buttons/paddles, decent feeling sticks, decent feeling buttons, and back buttons that last. All the extra trigger stops and customization are almost wasted on me. Just wish a company would put two 15 dollar upgraded sticks to the board and add 4 good feeling back paddles to a stock controller. Then sell it for 100 dollars. Id buy that crap all day

Can you describe a simple test to feel the effects of circularity in game? I see the test you did, and it's impressive, I'm just having a hard time distinguishing this setting on with any other pro controller.
Great work and keep it up, AIW!
been waiting for this review...
the controller is absolutely great, but the position for the C and Z should be other, may be like wolverine v3 pro (close to the triggers) or scuf envision pro (on the left and right side of the controller), so you can remap those and use them in FPS game without release the right and left sticks, BUT FOR FIGHTING GAMES ARE GREAT....
Thanks for the vid fam
I have had the Apex 4 for about 5 months now, still love it and is easily best controller I have ever used. However, would recommend the Vader 4 purely for the price to feature ratio, $80 is insane for what you are getting.
What are your thoughts on the actual latency of the sticks and buttons as shown by John Punch and Gamepadla? Seems like standard ps5 controller has less latency when overclocked
ps4 ps5 variant plz thats all i want for Christmas.
Could we get a best console controller video? Elite Series 2 feels horrible compared to the Dualsense Edge but I have to play on XBOX now.
Can anyone tell me where to download the space station software? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Not on the site either..
Great Review and Video 🙂 i love my vader 4 pro...you have a new subscribeer for sure 👍
The best roller ive ever used. way better than my bs custom scuff like for like 400
Hello, will I be able to play COD via steam with the vader 4 pro? As in all buttons are available, usable and remapping supported? Or do I have to do it over battlenet.
The more expensive Apex 4 should get the new joystick settings aswell, if it is not hardware limitated
I'm told this feature will be added to the Apex in the future with a software update but for now, the circularity/rectangularity option is only on the Vader 4 Pro
@ArtisWar man I hope so bought the apex 4 before seeing this video and was disappointed to not see any of these settings
I always thought the perfect controller for me was a controller with Xbox Shape/Ergonomics and PS tech. This is that and more
Xbox shape hurts my hands after gaming.
@@GFG2gifted what does an audio dac have to do with a controller 💀

Do any of the flydigi controller have button sequence mapping or are they just single button mapping?
Just bought the Apex 4 and love it but should I have got this one 🙈
Super helpful video I've had a tab saved for the Apex waiting to pull the trigger mostly waiting to see what aim assist will look like in BO6 because if it's the same as it is now with omni movement added on top MnK (especially with the seemingly increased reg issues this season) is going to be a dead input type for Activision games
What up Art! As always lovely review, bringing the tech specs to the lay folk. Have you or anyone else heard of bans from using this controller? Reading through some Amazon and r/ reviews I noticed it was brought up a few times (though perhaps those people had more going on in the background). Thanks!
Ty 4 video, bro
Bought it from Ali less then 40$ in Russia, can’t wait to get it
Why didn't you say anything about the gyro?? Can you finally use it for FPS games, like on steam deck?!
Perfect video Art 🔥🔥
Somehow mine has drift even after calibrating it and it showing dead center in the calibration section. No idea how this is possible but its still an incredible controller.
Art thanks for all the hard work... I just got my controller today and am having trouble binding dive to the "c" button on the front. I want it to be my dive button so I can get away from the hybrid. I went into advanced movement settings and made the dive feature the alt button. Then I changed to slide only in warzone. The dive button will not work and I feel like I have tried everything... please help. Thanks. PS so far the controller is sweeeet!
Will they allow the C and Z buttons to be mapped on the Apex 4? I could really use one of those for push to talk.
Oohweee mine comes tomorrow!
price definitely going up after hype
The Vader is BACK IN STOCK on Amazon!
Just a question: does it support BT/XBox controller connection to PC Win too (for gaming laptops, no dongle/cable)?
Wish they would give us paddle options like the elite series. These back buttons simply don’t work for me with the way I hold my controller
Art, great video! Can you drop a link to the Control Freaks you are using?
How does the tension in the joy sticks compare to a ps5 duel sense edge? Because I currently use a duel sense edge and really like the tension but wish it was a little bit stronger.
C and Z up top, like Razer has, for pinging would be HUGE.
Great video! Do you mind sharing what kontrolfreek you had attached in this video? Never seen that one before
I think he has the talon grip tape on top of the kf
Do you recommend me plugging my kiwi orchestra lites to my a40 mixamp or my motherboard
Will Flydigi be updating Apex 4 software to have the circular form for sticks?
And 1000% agree that the front extra buttons should be on the sides like the Scuf Envision. Would make this an endgame controller.
Man I hope the apex 4 gets this setting being there most expensive controller
I'm afraid this is something they can't do, otherwise they have already updated it. I have Apex 4 and it's a bummer that we can't have the Vadder 4 functionalities
looks nice! doesnt look super simplistic like they do now. i like the way they did the bumpers and triggers
Damn bro I just ordered one of these like 3 days ago after I saw this video today, gonna cancel my order purely to support your channel and add the insurance its a no brainer.
Have you tried the gulikit King Kong 3?
Just received my Assassins Creed edition! Let's gooooo
I got the victrix gambit prime to see how the controller functions and so far, it's really nice. I want hall effect sticks modules, so I think I am going to exhange the prime toward the BFG
@ 14:08 what thumbstick is that on his right stick?
@@l_ECL1PSE_l no issue with 3 month of playing on flydigi controller, 4 months of envision play no issues. With keyboard binds.
Have you tested input lag in Nintendo switch mode on pc?
That tension control is way better
wait how do you bind your bottons to keyboard keys? for me its only letting me bind to my mouse
What did you put your deadzones to in COD, ive been using zero but thinking of moving to 3?
I'm looking for a low-rise convex w/ high-rise for the sticks, that ideally won't damage them but will stick tight. Any recs?
i just wish they would make the controller in Playstation button layout
Do you think if keeping the software open for like you said for the keyboard binds in warzone could potentially get flagged by anti cheat/shadow bans? Because obviosuly once you open it the first time it’s always open in the background/taskmanager?? Just got mine really impressed with it so far as a fast paced sweaty warzone player
No, well I think the buttons are just recognized as keyboard buttons..
It is also as just as any other program, the game recognizes it as a normal input
@@andreyg.5149 but normally stuff like this is flagged as macros
Hey can you also remap the back buttons to keyboard inputs like spacebar and f keys on the flydigi apex 2?
I have the Apex 4 and I don't see those options is that only for Vader?
yes, currently.
Id buy that crap all day
How are they not listing this on amazon canada tho 😢 the old controller wasnt listed either
