Wow, now it looks like a real commando thats been in a battle
Buy a matte sealer spray it’ll help get rid of the shiny plasticy look a lot
I also did this but used gundam markers for the tiny lines, then layers of black wash over it
Tbh you don’t necessarily need to water down the paint as that actually weakens the strength of the paint.
A tip for you as a fellow artist/customiser is for a dry brush effect simply get a paint brush dip it in a small amount of paint, brush it along your pallet so there’s only a very small amount of paint left on the brush and then gently brush the figure to apply your dry brush effect. And similar to here in your short if there are any excess bits you don’t want gently clean or off with a wet cloth before it dries.
I’ll be honest though your method is really cool and it works very well. It’s amazing how just a simply dry brush to an action figure gives it so much more personality. Xx

You have me a helpful tip with this short so i thought I’d give you some helpful advice too.
Another helpful tip for you is if you are doing a full repaint for a figure do a sort of thin dry brush coat of whatever paint you are using so that the other layers will stick better.
And it should also make the brush strokes look less apparent. Xx

If you want to just do it once, add less water
Citadel's Nuln oil and Agrax Earthshade would have been good alternatives. Nuln oil to make details pop and Agrax to make the armor look dirty
Always wipe downward.
Can the paint come off from sweat? If not,then I think it'll be a good idea

Kinda achually most were trained by by mandalorian mercenarys I believe delta might have as well
The game was their only appearance for around 10 years. At the time the game was in development, HALO: Combat Evolved was very popular and it seems the RCs were modeled on that aesthetic of the Spartan Warriors or Master Chief. I think Lucasfilm wanted Hasbro to make skinnier figures to bring them inline with The Clone Wars look, but make them realistic at the same time. This hybrid look has failed IMO, but people are still buying them. I suspect Disney makes more money out of toys than the streaming the show. They actually make more money than Hasbro from each figure they sell, their royalties etc are double that for other IPs.
