LOL. I remember doing the exact same thing with a rubber O-ring usually used in plumbing - again, for no reason, which makes it even more stupid because it wasn't even a proper accessory, but a friggin' rubber gasket ! I wore that thing on my left thumb for years on end until it eventually wore out and snapped....at which point I just put on another one and carried on doing that for, I'd say 7 years total :))))
I'm not really sure how to put it into words, but I remember when my brother and I were kids, we would both get these weird quirks where we would just randomly repeat one action over and over, a dozen times a day until we eventually managed to break it. These would be things like clicking my tongue, popping my ears, or tapping my fingers, but it would also be weirder ones like clenching my whole face, blinking repeatedly for 5-10 seconds, or aggressively snorting like a pig. I remember one of the weirdest ones my brother did was that he would just roll his eyes back far into his head and open his mouth as wide as possible because he said it felt good, he would just do this in the middle of a conversation while you were talking to him, like a demon.
@@ameliaamels3563 Neither of us are autistic or anything, I get why you might think that, but we just chalk it up to kids being really weird. For instance, clenching my face and releasing it was actually from something I read that said it was a good exercise for relieving stress, tapping my fingers was just because I liked making rhythms, my brother opening his mouth and rolling back his eyes was because he said it felt good to stretch out his face. I just thought I'd tell a funny story from my childhood and didn't really think it needed all those extraneous details.
I actually started wearing the same necklace on me for a little while, but it hasn't been a year just yet. I've gotten so used to wearing it that I always check to see if I still have it on me.
I’ve been wearing anklets sense kindergarten and the only time they come off is when they deteriorate and break. I’ve been wearing my current one for 4 years, they don’t fade nearly as much as yours though after 4 years mine is still a dark green
@@gumaddict7744 I don’t really remember because it’s been a while but it’s just a basic bracelet you can buy at any kids store jewelry section (like Claires), it’s not really made to be an anklet but more just a bracelet I put on my ankle, you could also use a handmade friendship bracelet but it might fade or break quicker
I do something like this, in that I never take my watch off. It's waterproof, and doesn't get in my way or anything, so I just... leave it on. Pretty much the only time I take it off is when it or the strap needs replacing - both of which, thankfully, are rare occurrences. I've been doing this since junior high, at least (I'm in my thirties now), so at this point, NOT wearing a watch feels very weird. (For a few years in my early teens, I also wore a little medallion all the time - but I stopped doing that because the string kept wearing through.)
I remember I had a string anklet on for at least 3 years…it fell off when I was at a camp swimming pool. The only reason I had it on for that long is because the only way to get it off was by cutting it and I didn’t want cut a perfectly good anklet lol
I’ve worn a bracelet around my arm from 3+ years straight because I went to a town shopping event, I went with her family, and I got it with her. I almost lost it twice, but it’s still here. We don’t talk anymore, but it reminds me of good times.
My friend gave me this choker necklace on a sleepover once and I’ve never taken it off since. It is so special because of the memory it holds, and I never plan to take it off in the future. 😊
Well, I'm still embarrassed by things that others probably don't care about, so it's not like I can tell you to not feel embarrassed. But I can say that I don't think this is silly at all, it's kinda cute.
I do something very similar but it’s with a scarf. I don’t replace it every I just wash it every once in awhile. I’ve had my scarf for about 3 and half years and am still wearing to this day! Even as I comment this…
LOVE this! I did this with similar bands but on my left hand up until 2019 when my father figure was diagnosed with cancer. We were given rubbery-type bands with his verse and named hashtag on them to show support. unfortunately the cancer took his life in August of 2020 and i hadn't taken it off since... well the other day I did and I haven't put it back on yet. I probably will the next time I leave the house lol. I relate though to the whole 'they've been with me through everything'. I endured so much (good and bad) in the times that I've worn the band. It became such a support and comfort to me. I graduated, I started my first job, I got two puppies, I nearly died (so much---chronic illness), moved, began a new life, experienced a pandemic, met people, etc! Everytime I felt nervous, happy, or greatful, I'd look at it and read Pslam 50:15 and remember that God's got it and I have Him to thank for everything and that HE is with me always (which is my fave verse in Matthew), it's also a good reminder to whom I serve and my father figure is who really reminded me that (comes full circle).
I did something like this, I had a bracelet on my left wrist, it had a clip so I could take it off. Well one day I was camping, I took it off to go swimming, and I never saw it again… RIP bracelet 2017 - 2018
You can always think of it as an out with old and in with new tradition for yourself, to forget that years problems and reflect on what you learn and start the year new and refreashed.
I collect literally anything that reminds me of my friends/anything important to me! These momentos range anywhere from a friend's jacket (normal gift-type thing), to a random Uno card that my friend found on the road (which I stole)😅
In Canada we have 2 stores similar to diva and equip but their called Claires and Arden's. But a weird quirk I had was when I was a child I was told to cross my fingers for good luck so I ended up crossing them for long periods of time in order to have good luck all the time, I had to stop because my mom saw me doing it non stop for 4 months straight. 😅
I've actually been wearing the same necklace since 2018. Now I do take it off whenever I take a shower, but I always wear it since it was a gift from a friend who now lives over seas from me. 👍
I used to wear those big bands companies gave you around my ankle, I wore them for 2 years until middle school started as my new school didn’t allow them
Ive had on those rubber bracelets as anklets for around a year now. It would’ve been almost three years if I didn’t have to switch but now for around one year i havent switched and I’m not planning to switch. Can’t believe we have the same quirk 😂😂😂
When I was a dum 7 year old, I had imaginary anime friends made out of paper and I imagine going to my small world every night and live there as a ninja and I should get there with my stuff or else I won't be able to go to that world. I still do those things except my role has changed into village girl who hangs out with her friends in the forest and is the cousin of the princess.
Omg I haven’t watched you in such a long time and you’re better than ever! I’ve been watching you ever since I was six and now I’m older winding back to the memories!
I've been wearing the same neckless for 2 years now because it's got a really complicated tie thing... I forgot to take it off as well and just decided to keep it on lol
I literally had a friend from Australia in 5th grade that had a necklace she said she hadn't taken off in years & then I got one similar & tried it too, it lasted a few years though, & also one time I spent the night at her house & there was a palmetto bug in the bathroom in the high corner of the mirror & I told her about it & she went in there stood on the counter & grabbed it with her hands & set it free outside, that is a bug that looks like a giant roach in case you didn't know lol, yeuh she was super cool though & loved Jonas brothers & gave me a foot massage lol she also had a rolli polli farm she made in a bucket in her backyard, good times 💖 we lived in FL at that time
When I first got my ears pierced, after a few months I could wear normal earrings. So I popped some in, and just... didn’t take them off for like 2 years. There were little coloured beads on the hoops, and when I took the earrings off they were silver.
I had something like this but it was with one of those cheap dare bracelets the ones that said don’t do drugs and they would tear rip and wrinkle until they fell off on there own
I literally do this too except I don’t have a designated day, instead my tradition is to only wear ones I make myself and idk why but that’s how it’s been since highschool so yeh :> *steals your video idea and jumps out the window with it whilst laughing maniacally
I’ve actually tried this! Currently I have one i made myself on for abt 3 months! It was supposed to be a summer thing but now im just gonna keep it on until it falls off
i kinda do the same thing!! but i put a random string on my wrist... the one i have on now iv had on for about a year, it was a red and white string but the colors faded away pretty quickly.
i tie yarn around my ankle, it lasts until it breaks and i don't know why i do it. it's just a single piece of yarn and when it breaks i change the colour
I had a few anklets that I wore for at least a few months but they fell of pretty quickly but my school had this thing that u would get a wrist band for something idk but I wore that for at least 10 months.
I don't think it's that unusual of a thing but for more than a year I wore this blue stone bracelet that my mom gave me. It broke a lot of times and I decided to use some kind of string that you can barely cut so I'm keeping it on my arm forever. Also means the world to me but we don't talk about that
I did the same but with watches, I did not take them off only when im showering, but then i got a water proof one and then literally never took them off. I took like a 2 year break, but now the habit it now stuck with me again, the only expection i dont wear then in the shower
My weird habit is every year I collect a ziplock bag of snow and put it in my freezer till next winter but for the past couple years I’ve been keeping them!
A few years ago I was making bracelets with my friend and she just took a few pieces of yellow string and tide it to my ankle (this is what she did for her bracelet as well because she didn’t know how to braid it) and she took hers of at the end of the day but I left mine on for like a year and a half
I've had bracelets on all the time and I just got a necklace but the bracelets I have on till they break and I keep adding to them all the time I have them all on my left arm and I've have had them on for almost 5 years now I take them of to clean them every few weeks but all the other time they are on

I kept a coin in my jacket for 10 years and anytime I get a new jacket I put it in that one :0
LOL. Wow that's some dedication!
I am curious though, what did other people think of it? Lol
In retrospect, I too wonder that :)) It must've been a cringe fest :))
Been doing that with necklaces
Weird habits… hmmm… mine’s probably me talking to myself, as if I’m having a friend over. I even use past memories to set the scene. I’m not weird.
i'm not joking, i LITERALLY do the exact thing
I do the same thing!!!
Bruh… i literatly do the same thing
same
Same
This sounds like a really interesting hobby thing cant wait to see em again

Wow, we got some of Jess' hair and skin. That's more than her entirely concealed face the last time she showed her 3D self.
I'm pretty sure that's just a paid actor.

I put on a bracelet one day when I was sick and now I wear it everyday even right now even though it is not even pretty cuz ya know... why not?
Me too! One of my mutual friends gave my whole drama class a necklace a few months ago, and I plan on wearing it for a while to remember it.

Love your vids 😻😻😻
Wow this video is so friking cool
Lol I just skipped ten seconds and she said *woah that's to far into the future!* I laughed so hard
Hey same kinda! I’ve had this anklet on for four years and it’s somehow not faded
i tie yarn around my ankle, it lasts until it breaks and i don't know why i do it. it's just a single piece of yarn and when it breaks i change the colour

I need sleep and if I can’t sleep the only other think that helps is watching jelly jess
not me just starting my challenge now
I LOVE UR VIDS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's the fact I've been doing this for 3 years and this video reminded me I needed to change my anklet
I used to talk to wind as a kid. I was so lonely I even pretended it answered.
1:56 haha omg
My weird habit is every year I collect a ziplock bag of snow and put it in my freezer till next winter but for the past couple years I’ve been keeping them!
A few years ago I was making bracelets with my friend and she just took a few pieces of yellow string and tide it to my ankle (this is what she did for her bracelet as well because she didn’t know how to braid it) and she took hers of at the end of the day but I left mine on for like a year and a half
WOW NISE ANIMATION
JELLY JESS !!

I think I might try this ot seems pretty fun!
That’s really amazing
When I was a kid, whenever I went to a reptile expo or the skate rink and got those adhesive admission bracelets I would leave them on until they practically rotted off of my wrist. They looked ratty and nasty and my teachers would tell me to get rid of them but they were my FRIENDS and I LIKED THEM so I didn't lol
i hope this isnt just me - please. but in the shower i collect the water in my hands to then dump over me like a waterfall. im not weird. i also splash water around just to see the circles in mid air :) like i said, im not weird.
I also wear a fashion accessory nonstop. I wear collars, and i only take my collar off to shower.
Hey loved the the vid hope you have a good day!!!!😊😊
