Yes! Malachite is one of my favorite minerals! We did it in geology; we were told it forms when an area of copper ore near the surface (the copper originally ejected from a body of magma via hydrothermal fluids into the surrounding rock) is hit by rain. The copper is washed deeper into the ground, leaving an iron cap at the surface, and it combines with oxygen above the water table to form a number of awesome copper carbonates including malachite. Another lovely one is azurite. Beneath the water table the ground is saturated and there is no oxygen to combine with, so there are copper sulfides like bornite, the 'peacock ore'. Unfortunately we need to mine a lot to extract copper; our phones might contain copper extracted from malachite!

Since you mentioned green being your favorite color and you're an Aussie, what's your opinion on the "world's ugliest color", Pantone 448 C? It's kind of an olive-brown. I'm just curious because Australia was the one that came to the conclusion that's the ugliest color as a way to ward people away from cigarettes.
Since it is similar to the color you just said you hated, I'm pretty sure I already know my answer. I just figured I ask because it's the perfect opportunity to.
Also, I would love a video on purple because purple is my second favorite color after red. Also, the video was just cute and entertaining that it would be fun to hear your thoughts on purple as well. Blueish greens are my favorite types of green by the way.

My sisters both really love the color yellow, so for years they would argue about who got to be the yellow piece in a board game, who declared yellow as her favorite color first, etc. I think it was my older sister who finally conceded and decided that orange was her favorite color instead.

Orange was my fav when I was little and I was ridiculously obsessed with it.
Like one time I was in this gymnastics class called Little gym and for one activity we needed hula hoops. They gave everyone one then they got to me and gave me this indigo colored one. As you may guess I was not pleased with this. So I insisted them to give me the orange one for about one minute. Then they finally gave in and gave me the orange one. 😂
