    If you get a motion rig, you won't want todo 17fpm landings. The thump of the plane onto the runway is hands-down the best part of having a motion rig 🙂

      Lol. I have a motion rig. If you look close you can see some movement.

    Looking into buying, but how does it handle wrong readbacks and mistakes? As in when let's say I get "line up and wait" and I read back "cleared for takeoff". Is it capable of something like this?
    Also, is it capable of noticing pilot error? Like landing without clearance or deviating off given heading etc...

    • @g-locmedia
      @g-locmedia  10 місяців тому

      It pulled me up once for taking off without clearance but all in all it's very accommodating to mistakes. Although I haven't flown with it in 3-4 weeks and it does get updates all the time.

      I have not, yet. Just started my third WWT in the Asobo A320 and that is keeping me busy. About 180-200 airports. I have been away from the flight sim for a year and just now getting back into it. So, I'm not ready to deal with ATC. Getting my StreamDecks (2 XL's, and 2 Pluses) set up after I switch to the FBX A32NX. I'm about six months away from getting into the ATC aspect of flying. I look forward to it! You have already gotten better at your calls. Keep it up!!!

      Visit UA-cam to find the video titled "Writing down ATC instructions - Pilot's Shorthand" by "Aviation101." This is the video I recommend for you to watch. In the video, the presenter utilizes a pad of paper while flying, and you can replicate and print it for use on your knee. If real pilots use this method, it would be beneficial for you as well. Adopting this technique will assist you in avoiding stumbling when reading back instructions to ATC. Make sure to consistently use the same tail number until you become proficient with ATC. For example, mine is N442UA, which comes from a real United Airlines A320-232 aircraft. Or, via ATC callbacks to me: 442 United. You are trying to digest it all in your head as they say it and its to much to handle. Let the paper remember what they said. I hope this helps!

    So it's likely running off a API off ChatGPT to Voice so every API call will cost them. I can't remember the exact cost of their API Calls. Their business model is likely to resemble a Gym membership. The profit comes from those who don't use it and forget to cancel. Albeit with some advancements in AI, the costs will come down and their margins will increase.

    • @g-locmedia
      @g-locmedia  11 місяців тому

      Yea they have said a few times now that they expect the costs to come down as the tech evolves.

    I agree its a pricey extension but it is clearly the way forward. I use it all the time and its amazing. yes lots of issues but they are improving. What is unique is that you can have a normal conversation as you would with vfr atc. I have done things like requested landing at a different airfiled and the arrival frequencies, weather etc. One time the controller rather rudely told me to check my charts lol. Great cockpit btw. How do you get the outside views? I am space limited so went for a Samsung neo 49 curved.

    AI is definitely the futur of atc for msgs. Though this program is quite expensive (30$ a month) and i rather wait for beyond2atc which seems way more complete. Though its probably the near end of programm like pilotedge

    • @g-locmedia
      @g-locmedia  11 місяців тому

      Beyond ATC does look good but also wont be as fluid as SayIntentions bacuse it doesn't rely on Ai for the actual direction. more just the voices.
