Then I just found out it’s level 1 mini wave… the only curse I’m seeing from this unit is the curse of every axe variant having a curse that makes it shit Edit: I also just learned that the curse chance isn’t 100%… Ponos has a vendetta against axes I guess

In my opinion they should have gone with this route for the lil's instead of them just being 4 crown manic stages, they could have changed things around a bit enough for it to be a new interesting challenge but similar enough to keep resemblance of its anterior version
At this point, ALL axe variants being eternally shit is just a canon event. The only last way they could change this is add talents to normal/crazed/wicked cats
I think even doing something like replacing the Level 1 Guaranteed Mini Wave with either a Level 2/3 50% chance of Mini Wave would be much better for him

One thing i noticed while revisiting this stage to try esoteric uril, i notice that Malovent dark wouldnt counter surge if aku shield was up which seems kinda weird. Counter surge would only happen when Malevolent dark didnt have his shield up. Im not sure if this happening is intentional or not but it is quite interesting
Intentional. The trigger is taking Surge DMG. Since Shield is protecting them from Surge DMG, it's normal that Surge Counter wouldn't go active. The reason behind this is to make sure that Surge Immune unit won't have Surge Counter ability.
i really wish they just gave brainwashed dark cat regular wave instead, since it both gives it more range for the wave to hit and also doubles its damage, giving it quite a potent sting for a meatshield
At this point, I think Ponos is making the Axe Cat family bad on purpose for the memes. That Mini-Wave was probably added by the guy that made Zeus's Slow UT and L'il Eraser's Soulstrike. At least he has more HP than Eraser now... for double the cost and only against one trait. :/
i wonder why ponos have such a grudge against axe cat. he has a nice design but he sucks to use. the only hope we have left is killer dark cat but its gonna take forever, killer tank still doesnt even have a tf
I wish all of the brainwashed cats were gotten something via the aku realms instead of via the stupid gacha thing. Maybe you could get brainwashed cat, tank, and axe from the wicked stages, and after unlocking aku realms more of the stages would appear for each of the cats maybe as you progress through aku realms somewhat paralling how you got the normal cats in eoc (except with enemy stages). Or they could even still make em available via the gacha, but you could still get them through aku realms.
I've used BW Brave against Henry in a couple scenarios, so I'm kind of looking forward to this upgrade. It's definitely not as easy as "plug and play", because boy does this unit need the right stage conditions and support to work effectively, but I've had it help out here and there. Guess I was mainly lucky in where I got it.
Ponos definitely know that axe cat as a base unit is bad and is probably why base BW axe is oddly stacked. TF is arguably amazing on paper but somehow it’s still bad. Truly impressive ponos moment

Honestly giving him curse is the worst decision that PONOS made. Considering that he's an aku enemy, which having curse makes no sense. Yeah, the unit counterpart has curse too, but why guaranteed 10 seconds curse, instead of 30% of inflicting curse of 4 seconds? And the Wicked Dark has stengthen, I have no idea what PONOS is trying to do with that. And beating that stage doesn't even worth it, cause he's still bad even with his TF.

Pretty sure that both normal and mini wave share the same ranges, so it wouldn't have made that much of a difference in terms of piercing either way.
