Congrats on your new skates, looking very agile on 80mm. Also very fun to watch and i love the camerawork from Alex, the part at 3min 7 seconds where the perspective changed gave me goosebumps. Great video!
Heyaa... Your videos made my day..... You are an inspiration for all skate riders.... Stay happy, stay blessed ☺👼 and keep uploading videos Namaste from India❤
What is your current full setup. I have a set of 4 X 90 with a 2mm rocker am learning again after years off but was never good to start. I tried 3x90 rockered but way to unstable... Iv heard people say shouldn't rocker city skating but I prefer than 4x90 flat as easier to manouver. Your views on rockered v flat? I'm not a doped cruiser or downhiller. But I want to learn wizzard moves
Seba is still making the carbon fibre boot but I was eager to try the plastic version to feel the difference. My feeling is that the carbon fibre boot is better but only slightly.
Great video as always...is there enormous difference in stiffness, support, powertransfer and built quality between plastic and carbon boot ? I know, quite silly question, however any reply and experience more than welcomed. THX wheel rollers .o)
Shaun. I recently received 2 sets of 80mm wheels for my inline. They seem to tall for my skates. I was thinking rather than send them back I would send you them and maybe you can put together a pair of skates for someone who enjoys it but maybe can't afford very expressive skates. They are brand new wheels (16 total) I bought them from Amazon. I cannot speak to how good they are since I've never used them. If you're interested please let me know. There's no catch other than if like to help someone out of I can.
Where are Wizard setups available to purchase from now? They're all sold out on wizardskating.com. Also, if you've never skated any of the Wizard frames before, which one would you go for, knowing what you know now?
+Craig Spaven Yo! The Wizard skates sell out pretty fast and supply is hard to come by. They will be back in stock at shop task and wizard skating soon. I recommend the wizard 90 if you haven’t skated 100mm wheels before. If you skate on 100s already then go for the 100.
What you are looking at is the frame, the frame bolts to the boot and the wheels bolt into the frame. In some cases frames are big and sturdy, like the Wizard frame, other frames are built to be featherlight for increased speed, or built to grind ledges, curbs and skatepark coping. The Wizard is a sort of hybrid frame, it's got a Jack-of-all trades sort of vibe, as such it needs to be quite robust.
Nothing like getting a new pair of skates. Enjoy and get lots of use out of them. I too...have a new pair on the way. Powerslide HC Evo Trinity pro. Can't wait. I like the low center of gravity with the trinity mount. Having the front mounting bolts off to the side of the boots so the wheels can be mounted closer to the skate bottom. Can't be beat. Jeez, my bauer hockey skates had the right idea back in the 90's with that type of mount. My front wheels on my bauers would almost rub on the bottom of the boots. You'd think that almost 25 years later the skate manufacturer would have improved instead of going backwards in tech. Glad to see Powerslide have back on track. The USF mount is inferior and should be put on the shelf. Actually looking at my old Bauer composite pro hockey skates...I see the front wheels actually sit higher than the actual frame and the tops of the wheels being countersunk into the sole of the boots. Now that is some serious shit. Way ahead of their time. Lowering the center of gravity is number one. Leon, or the Wiz...needs to abandon the Seba boot because of the inferior USF mount and make frames to work with the Powerslide boot with the Trinity mount system and have top of the wheel actually be higher than the frame and get the lowest center of gravity possible. The USF mount was okay back in the day with aggressive skates because of the use of little wheels, but not suitable at all with bigger wheels putting the center of gravity so high plus the lateral flex due to only one center mount.
I agree with most of your comment. I think that the wheels should be as close to the foot as possible. Riveted hockey skates, the Trinity mount and the Quattro mount do a great job of this. The UFS system allow for a flat boot that is naturally lower to the ground compared to tradition boot. I am not sure how the UFS compares to the trinity or quattro but I would guess that they are similar deck height. I would like a flat boot quattro mount. Congrats on the new skates. The EVOs look amazing. Like you said "Nothing like getting a new pair of skates"
@@FlowSkate, Thanks man. Really love your videos. They helped me to realize how much I missed skating. Back into skating bigtime and loving it. It feels so good to be back at it...even though I'm 60 now. Not much has changed in my ability to skate. I think I've accumulated a few pairs of modern skates lately and I think I've found my favorite pair if all goes right. Keep up the good work. I love your job...if i can call it that. Yes that's me in my avatar. Still like to keep fit and hit the gym. Actually it was my idea to forget legs day at the gym and get back into skating. It's worked out great. Now I'm totally addicted. Take care shawn and skate safe.
I'm fascinated by your videos, you have an impressive level. I've finally managed to save money to buy the Wizard, but I'm wondering if the pr80 or the nr90 I've always freeskated with 80mm I have good level skating, what is the difference between the two could you help me, thanks!
obviously 80s right? me and my brother were saying they need wizard 80s. just watching you guys i learn stuff. You seem more fluent on bigger wheels? I read comments say they are 90s lol....
I am riding the PR80 and Alex is riding the NR90. The bigger wheels maintain the speed better so in some cases my lines are a bit smother because I don’t have to generate speed between tricks. But overall I feel more fluid on the PR80
Nice! I’m about to buy the sx2 with intergraded liner, but confused on the sizing. I fit seba FR 42eu perfectly, what size sx2 should I get? I know it a shared shell, so 41, or 42?
Heya Mr. Unwin, great vid i'm curious if you could answer a few questions when able. This specific frame the Wizard PR80 is 323mm base length with a spacing of 1mm between each wheel correct (When the wheels are fresh of course)? So the total length with fresh 80mm's would be 404mm total length? Also is this mountable on a Seba FR1 plastic boot? The price seems ludicrous but i understand these are custom made. Still, buying one premade at $950+ seems like a slap in the face. I currently ride 4x80mm's on an FR1 plastic boot and I'm content, the length just seems like it would be cumbersome although judging from the videos maybe not due to the progressive rockering. Which leads to riding on 3wheels at a time depending on leaning orientation forward and back, mid wheel to front mid wheel to rear? Appreciate any feedback you can provide cheers!
Hey brother i have a problem with my skates..... Whenever i skates my one wheel nut become loose and when i tight it with allen keys it again become loose. What can i do? Because this problem is stopping me from doing skating😞
Hey John The FR skates in size 47 with an intuition liner might fit. Can you measure your foot in centimetres and email toronto@shop-task.com Erik in Toronto can help you.
I really like it. The shell fits a differently than the carbon. The plastic boot is wider. I don’t notice a difference in the performance. So far so good.
I always recommend Seba and FR skates are a sure bet. Rollerblade, K2 and Powerslide also make great skates but I recommend all of their models. A can’t miss skate is FR skates with intuition liners such as the FR deluxe.

Damn man your city knows how to take care of their streets. Not one crack or hole anywhere! Awesome!
Its true. Calgary is an amazing city for skating.

Awesome vid guys. Crazy price for those but at least your having fun and enjoying them! Be safe guys!
Thank you! They are pricey but worth it for me.
Shop Task that’s all that matters! I’m just glad to see skaters out there having fun, that’s what it’s all about! 😃
You the best! I love your skating. It's fluid and I see the fun.

This Skatepark under the bridge is pretty dope, that bowl :0
It is amazing. That full pipe is 28ft in diameter. There is no other ramp like it in the world.
Wow Alex, your style is so agile!
Alex is such a boss!
Wait what I just realized they have five wheels???
Anyway awesome vid 😄
That fakie drag stop is sick
Man, that park has no chill, lol. I can tell you’re having fun being back on the PR’s, too, very cool
So much fun.
I love your skating Shaun, but Alex is absolutely sick on that backward downhill control! OMG.
Yeah. Alex is the reason we go fast in general. Before Alex started filing me I skated half as fast. And his backwards downhill skills are stupendous.
wow, just wow.
These videos are awsome!

Shaun, what skates can I choose for a man of 115 kilos for city skating?
FRs or Seba SX. If you are riding bigger wheels (90mm+) go for a SX carbon boot. And if you can afford it upgrade to the intuition liners.
It's fell soo good
+Javohir Abduqodirov 😊 so good!
Shaun please! The name of the song :-)

Is it hard to remove integrated liner on sx2 by yourself? Can't afford intuition right now, so I can't buy linerless version..
You can definitely do it. I am done a few times with an box cutter and needle nose pliers. It is a pain but it can be done in an couple hours.
For this type of frame which wheel profile is recommended bullet or full radius (round) ?
Music is so cool
best skate bro
