    Man, that's some crazy terrain! Y'all just keep pressing on, and I'm impressed. Do you find it helpful to have the route climbs mapped ahead of time? I'm not sure if I would find that demoralizing, knowing that the steepness is coming - or if it would be better to be like, "We can just push through this steepness, then it's mostly flat."

      Yeah that's a good question - when I don't think I have one consistent answer. Im sure I hate knowing sometimes and then others it's useful to pace yourself

    You could have strained the silty water thru a bandana or other fabric to keep from clogging your filters.
