    Just Pass My On Boarding down in Lauren’s, SC advice to all drivers going to on boarding. On the Driving test no speeding, don’t follow close, and do not hit any curbs. On the backing test get out and look do your 360. And on the Pre trip study everyday. Also come in with a great attitude because it’s not just about your driving skills listen and learn there way enjoy and have a good time and don’t stress yourself💪

    thank u Rich . just soaking in as much as I can before I get to onboarding in 2 more weeks. I did quit my job but it's only because I am wanting to get out of being an owner operator. I do have a backup plan but that shouldn't be a problem because I have been studying the pre-trip that you gave me and actually practicing it on my truck and trailer to get it 100% . Again thank you for such informative and detailed videos.

    Rich, thank you so much for making this video ! By far, THE BEST Video I have seen on trucking. Unfortunately for me, I am getting a very late start getting my CDL at 56 years old. I guess I will not be allowed to even apply to Walmart for 3 more years. I plan on getting my CDL in the next 90 days. If your still driving for Walmart when I can qualify to apply with them I would be Happy to use your name as my referral. I'm justvsorry I did not get my CDL a couple of years ago so they would except my job application now. Hopefully for me this Awesome Job opportunity will still be available to me 2 or 3 years from now. I wish you great luck with everything and maybe I will be lucky enough to Drive for Walmart one day in the near future. Please continue to be SAFE out on the road.

    I just came thru onboarding on May 16. The phone policy from my understanding includes NOT being on the phone AT ALL not even hands free, while in a school zone, construction zone, bad weather, heavy traffic or any other situation such as backing. But yes, Rich, pretty much what you said...as long as there is no accident nor incident.

    Another point to make at the 36 minute mark is very simply and sadly is if you don't use it you lose it. Associates are bending down and picking things up all the time. A driver develops a limited range of motion if they don't make a serious effort to avoid it. So it is safer and much better on the numbers for a store associate to do everything at the store they are supposed to do and let the drivers stand there and count.

    • @WalmartRich
      @WalmartRich  Рік тому +2

      Yes I try to explain in the nicest way possible that it's easier to call in an associate or hire an associate if something happens. To replace a driver is nearly impossible

    • @WalmartRich
      @WalmartRich  Рік тому

      They did slip seating long before covid etc. Each location has 50-150 guys in a program. This eliminates 50-100 trucks. If one location needed 50 trucks at 100k per truck. Thats a saving of 5million dollars in trucks alone. Factor in mechanical issues for each truck and the time they would sit on days off as well as where would they park 50+ trucks. They can't find spots for the ones they have. Its just not plausible foe each guy to have thier own truck.

      I dont believe you can get an outside cdl and still participate.

To keep the thing as update as possible. Now it is technology and it's only as good as the information that safety gets so sometimes updates can be delayed. But there's usually a book in the driver's lounge. That has the newest road conditions, closures. And detours and information you may need to get their safely.
