I always wash my cups before inserting them, because the inserting gets much easier and i can be sure that the cup is completely clean. It's a win-win situation!

No, the shampoo will hurt your insides when it goes in. Only use hot water and vinegar

I would recommend an unscented castile soap over shampoo. You need something that would be safe if any remnants go inside you when you reinsert the cup, as well as something that won’t degrade the silicone over time.

No....cup is supposed to go inside us, and Dettol have harsh chemicals in it plus the cup is medical grade silicon, we don't know if silicon get reactive with harsh Dettol or savlon type of material

There is no such thing as "wasting" water well not if it's coming from the public water system the water from the drain goes right back into the processing plant where is filtered again using reverse osmosis. The problem isn't that there isn't enough water on the planet the problem is there's too many people using the water at all times that it doesn't get filtered back quick enough to support the demand hence which creates a shortage of "clean" potable water leading to water usage advisories in places like California.

From an environmentalist perspective it doesn't make much sense to put the burden of over consumption of clean water on individual people because We aren't the problem the reality of the situation is that big companies and processing plants are the reason certain areas are experiencing drought these companies use millions of gallons of water every year and they are not seeing to it that the water is filtered and cleaned so that it may be reintroduced into the public water supply instead these companies simply find somewhere cheap to dump all the dirty water. I'm sure you meant this in a kind way but it is in fact corporations Not some lady in her bathroom doing a 10-second demo a reusable menstrual product responsible for water shortages. If You're passionate about these things rather than pestering a few people about their personal consumption. I suggest you go fill out the petitions online and sit in on City Hall meetings when they discuss things like this because that's the way to make lasting change.

This makes a lot less waste than pads or tampons.
