    Best treatment for atherosclerosis: Vitamin C.
    Why do only arteries clog with cholesterol and not veins or small capillaries?
    Scurvy = No vitamin C in your diet.
    Symptom: Your blood vessels break and you bleed to death. Think of the sailor of the past.
    Scurvy of the heart = Just enough vitamin C from food.
    Symptom: Arteries around the heart are not strong enough to resist high blood pressure. Damage is repaired with cholesterol to prevent worse. After years of repair, your arteries become clogged.
    Enough vitamin C supplement of at least 3000 mg. per day gives strong and flexible arteries. Cholesterol is not needed as a repair agent. Cholesterol in your coronary arteries is broken down and burned in your liver.

      sorry to debunk you, I'm carnivore, no additional vit C required or taken...no one has had scurvy on carnivore diet
      cholesterol is paramount to your body, your brain
      your liver produces cholesterol
      the issue is NOT Cholesterol but the sugar or processed foods that DAMAGE cholesterol
      If I filled your petrol tank with sugar your car would break down - the Americans blamed it on the 'petrol' (cholesterol), which led to their killer food pyramid that led most to obesity whilst the British scientist said it was sugar...money talks, NOT SCIENCE FACTS
      I eat saturated fat, fish and red meat daily
      my cholesterol is about 210
      triglycerides are the killer, not HDL or LDL
      Good ratio Triglycerides/HDL is 5, very good is 2
      my ratio is 0.6
      ps, I'm 60, 15 months ago I was 132kg - now 89kg
      virtually all people living over 100 have HIGH CHOLESTEROL
      Some as high as 430...let that sink in
      that's one of the reasons they live long
      the other 3 are
      grip strength
      squat strength
      good v02 max
      do the research and don't be fooled by so called scientists or doctors who are paid by...big pharma, sugar companies etc...yep, they have bribed many
      you only have to look at the ones prescribing statins when a change in diet is by far better...

      cholesterol doesn't get stuck in your veins or arteries unless its damaged...processed foods and sugar damages it...blame the processed food and sugar NOT the cholesterol...that's paramount for longevity

      Why do you need to clear cholesterol ?
      Your body doesn’t make dirty or bad cholesterol - you must be eating foods that damage it
      Your body is a finely tuned machine

      north Japan, I agree with, south Japan is one of the blue zones....its not clear from the article but southern part of Japan is one such blue zone
