    ....I have been trying , unsuccessfully, to get instrumentalists to use the lower F# in the (A) part of this tune, therefore saving the higher F# for the (B) part !,...make sense ?

      A black 5-string fiddle, I would say.

      It's a five-string made by Nathaniel Rowan. There's a pair of blue scissors on the back, I think. Really, really cool design. :D I'd link his site, but it looks like it got taken down.
