The F-16 still takes the cake for me! what a beauty
I love the Belgian F16 Solo Display. I life only 50min from his Homebase Kleine-Brogel far away. I saw him in march, when he was practice his Display with the "The X Tiger" fighter jet.
I saw it a raf cosford a few months ago and it was so great with the smokewinders on the wingtips
70s engineering for you
@@11111653 Yeah! So ahead for its time!
@@11111653 really is the perfect plane. Still outmaneuvers every fighter in its class. Pioneered the side stick which all 5th gen fighters now employ, very ahead of its time.
I love the livery of the F-16 Viper.
Just watched this with my morning cuppa 20 min of pure enjoyment thank you for your efforts😀
Really enjoyed this! Great camera work as usual. Yes I am envious!
Thank you 😎👍
Hey Taofledermaus!! Nice work Dafydd! A lot of varied types here. Helicopters, fast jets, transports... Nice one.
Great stuff D P, nice dynamic-air braking on a lot of the fighters....didn't see a windsock but the wind seemed a little squirrely on touch down . Love those F-86's
those Belgian Block 10s are sure a sight to see
Wow! Such a great variety Dafydd! Thank-You so much! I love landings and the bigger planes get my nod because there is so much going on. Of course the F15E is always nice to see. Liking the look of the Eurofighter Typhoon more these days!
My favourite, hmmm, probably all of them, the less glamorous trio of Sikorsky whirlybirds made me smile, and what’s not to like about the dynamic braking of the gorgeous F-16s. Thanks for sharing
Awesome! Looking forward to the next week or 2 of videos. Wish I was there. My favorite was the F86
The WW II Spitfire and the P-51 Mustang were my favorites. Both beautiful classic aircraft!
Some superb colour schemes and they just leave me extremely jealous. I have not been there for some years now and really miss being there. I so long want to go. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks Stuart.
Dang, the Red Arrows know how to make an entrance.
That Spitfire and Mustang were Beautiful!!!
Dafydd....splendid. What a great show that must have been. Boy you sure have a great job or should I say hobby. Such an assortment of aircraft....thank you for being there and sharing it with us.
Thanks for viewing Scott. 👍
Absolutely loved the reds peeling off.
Wow, I loved the Viggen, Draken and Sabre
各位航空迷~辛苦了!有您們真的好!
Great to see the P3 Orion at the end there. My father spent years in the equivalent CP-140 Aurora hunting subs
Great video daffyd, stunning, amazing array of aircraft, thanks 😀👌👍👍
Great footage as always Daffyd. Looks like a good turn out.
Wow what a mix! Wishing they were all invited to the Mach Loop 😆🤣
Much love 💪🇨🇦
That would be special for us loop togs ✈️😍
DUDE! I love your videos! They are awesome. Keep up the hard work. I truly appreciate it!
Thank you.
Great quality footage! The next best thing to being there! Thank you.
Thank you and happy you enjoyed
Thanks so much for this footage!
Thanks for viewing 😎👍
Greetings from New Zealand,so wonderful to see such a wide variety of amazing aircraft........
Thank you.
Wow. This footage is incredible!!!! Well done!! 💪😎🙏🙏
Thanks roel. 😎👍
Great upload Dafydd, I have been waiting a long time for this 😊
What felt like an Eternity🤓🤣
Drakken, and a Viggen....now that's an airshow! So many beautiful birds, but those Saab's are something special. And that awesome paint scheme on the F-16 Viper, damn. Thanks!
Happy you enjoyed.
Thank you !!✈️😎👍
Drags and Wigs. Hmm, weird names. Swerige drag queen Airforce?
@@voornaam3191 Draken and Viggen which translates to dragon and lightning
lovely to see the Wessex again ! .......and Viggen .....so many favourites Daf !
Was a real treat Fred.
Super cool shots! Thank you for the amazing videos
Thank you
Nice one Dafydd, far too many to choose from but I guessing the USAF Heritage F-15E has to go top of my list for sure.
ATB Andy✈😁
Awesome cool…Takes balls of steel. Salute
Your usual high quality video’s Dafydd, I was wondering did the aircraft all arrive on the same day.
Thanks for posting mate.
Looking forward to the next one. 👍👍👍
Thanks Jim. Most are from Thursdays arrivals with a handful from Friday in between displays.
Thanks for watching
My favourite - Spitfire! the most beautiful aircraft ever! ...and the mustang too...
Great video. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks Michael.
The Hornet landing gear was completely baffled why on earth the touchdown was so smooth.
Maybe because he has done so many carrier landings, he's more in tune with his aircraft?
@@TheGryxter imagine being a fighter pilot and having skill, shocking
Stunning action mate, what a great video!
Thank you 😎👍
@@DafyddPhillips My pleasure!
10:10 - Can't say I've ever seen a Saab Draken in flight, that's pretty cool.
Tricky cross-wind at the touchdown area!
Wow, that green snake is cool 0:23
This is Top-Class viewing, Excellent Stuff,
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaankyou 🤙😁
Thank you.
Amazing video 🙌🏻😍
Tanker Pilot must have been in the Navy in another life, dude just slammed it down on the deck.
Dafydd you are a super star 🌟 🤩 🌟
The sound of that Saab Draken...
Cheers mate.
20 minutes was worth to watch
Nice to see that they Viper f16 piloted by vrieske is working now. Was Broken down just a few says ago
Wow, Draken for me. And 15 years later it's still a wheele competition :)
That Gripen is clean, not as nice as the Euro Fighter, but still lovely.
The Gripen is so small. Was that other little jet a Leonardo? Great shots
Nose up helps that Viper slow down just using wind resistance landing.
The f16 viper will also be on NATO days in Czech Republic, i cant wait to see him
Nice work Phil
nice to see Vigen and Draken .......
Many thanks for this brilliant upload.
Too hard to choose a favourite out of that lot! Is it true Tom Cruise flew his Aerospatiale Ecureuil in?
the art work on the vipers was call
Of all those planes my favourite is The C-130 Hercules and The F-22 Raptor.
What a fantastic video, Dafydd!
Thanks John. Appreciated. 😎
@@DafyddPhillips You're welcome, my friend! By the way, what do you think about the 48th Fighter Wing's new Heritage bird?
Wow, the Swiss still rocking F/A-18Cs?
It would be amazing if someone could time stamp each aircraft and maybe even detail the type and country if possible :)
I will do that next year. 🎓
Thanks Dan 👍
I don't know all of them, but I'll peg the ones I can ID! I am not an expert so I can't tell the specific variants or necessarily which nation operates the individual planes.

@@Aethercell the first unknown one is a snowbird plane. Ct-114 Tutor
Great video. Thank you for posting. Allows me to see things I normally have no access to see. I am familiar with most of these planes and copters. I wasn't able to identify the plane at 9:00 and the one that follows it.
Hunter. Viggen.
@@ROSSBEEF thank you. Have never heard pf or seen a Hunter. Have heard of the Viggen, but have never seen one.
@@UrMomsChauffer np old RAF aircraft seen many times. Not seen a Viggen since the 90s! Well other than saturday!
Wonderful, I wonder if some can answer this? I notice with the big four engine jets none seem to use reverse thrust on landing, is this simply that they are flying with no payload so are much lighter or is it something else? Thanks in advance!
Yea they dont need to use them, since the runway is long enough and they arent so heavy that it could become a problem.
The KC-135R Doesn’t actually have Thrust Reverser’s. But the previous reply still stands that the runway is long enough they don’t need it
Fantastic footage! Thank you for this. Can I ask what camera do you use please? The quality is amazing! Keep up the good work.
Thanks Sam, I’m using a Panasonic HCX1500 here.
@@DafyddPhillips Your welcome. Thanks for letting me know what you use, certainly an excellent bit of kit. Hope you had a good time at RIAT and keep the content coming.
Viggen what a monster
haha, C-130 has to keep the nose pointed at the deck in order to get down, that bird just loves to fly.
Good video ! Belgian F16 was at the airshow of Saint-Dizier (east of France, military base)
No Rafale this year ?
Sadly no Rafale or mirage this year
@10:06mins did that F18 just waved to the crowds? 😁
My favourite is still the F14s followed by F15
5:36 JAS39 Gripen ❤
I liked that 3rd one that did the short landing with the reverse engines. A fuel tanker?
KC 46
@@agdgdgwngo thanks I'll look it up
there were french rafale or just the 2 pilatus?
Ah, there we go straight off the bat, some vintage American stuff😁 followed by ‘Not-a-Harrier’ and not a Tempest🤪
I go to Oshkosh every other year or so if I can (will leave for the convention this Sunday). I've heard of RIAT but I'm not sure what it stands for. Is it an acronym or a proper name (like an airbase)? Hopefully when I retire I'll be able to travel to lots of airshows in far off locations.
Hi Gary, it stands for Royal International Air Tattoo and it takes place in RAF Fairford annually. Hope you get to go one day ✈️✈️✈️👍
F-18's aerobraking is so cool to me. Once that airbrake comes up, the plane just starts BLEEDING airspeed.
how often do plane tyers need to be replaced
I don't know if anyone knows this but during RIAT the Germans had a bar that they had transported out and because they had ran it the whole time, it had completely run their aircrafts battery dead
Hello! Can anyone tell me what the jet at 14:00 is? I can't recognise it! Thanks!!
Alenia Aermacchi/ Leonardo m-346 master
I hope that in the next year we can see Ghost of Kyiv
What's the one at 1:00? I had to pause and look at it...the slats are all the way to the tip of the wing. I don't think I've ever seen that.
USAF kc46
15:35 open canopy style. Try this with an F-16
For some reason I thought they were RC planes till I saw the people on the side 😂😭
The real deal here ✈️✈️😎👍
The first two F-16 are belgian I think ? Nice vid !
Yes indeed and great paintwork on both 😎👌
16:30 main event
*stands at attention for the Snowbird*
I caccia quando atterrano sembrano I ragazzini con il motorino che corre sulla sola ruota posteriore!!! E' molto divertente ma bravi sono I piloti
the f16 block 52 at 16:29 what country was that?
Looks Greek
Sooo Riat is basically a fighter jet wheelie competition?
🤠👍
Why are many of the fighter planes "nose-up" for so long after touching down. Or just showing off for the crowd?

Did you film this from one of the stands?
From the FRIAT enclosure Callum.
@@DafyddPhillips of thanks as ive just signed the FRIAT form for next year and was just wondering
Hello from Ukraine
You can really tell the naval pilots from the air force by their landing styles...
Like in Thump as opposed to greased it. Boy what a difference I'd say. Good catch!
So is the keeping the nose up thing just a bit of show boating?
Crowd pleasing ✈️✈️😎👍
Hey Look I can see myself :)
