MACH LOOP 4K

- Ive put together a compilation of videos and photos from some memorable days in the mach loop over the last five years. Ive included some photos from 26th April 2016 when the F22 Raptors paid us a visit and some other exciting aircraft. Unfortunately I hand not started videoing at that time.
I have some footage of the Aviano f16s at Lakenheath coming soon

That red and black Rafale paint scheme is otherworldly kickass!!
The tornado to me the best looking fighter bomber especially with the wings on full swept back mode. It always reminds me of the tornado skimming the desert dunes in the first gulf war.
worst thing this government did was to get rid of the tornado gr4s ... cool cool aircraft
@@chrisluby840 Not really the worst thing (I can think of a few other decisions that top it); it was a dated airframe and in spite of all the modernisation that had been undertaken, the inherent design and technological limitations of the Tornado meant the improvements that could be made had - no pun intended - hit the ceiling. The Eurofighter beats it in just about every category it needs to in order to justify its own (exorbitant) cost.
It’s like a combo of the F-4 and the F-14.
You got that right.
Time stamp?
This never gets old.
I remember living next to Langley air force base, the thunder of the F15 always made me smile.
The crystal clarity of the photography is almost like being there in person
Thank you 👍
This Is On My Bucket List.
2022 summer. I Pray There.
The video is outstanding, but wow, the photography is world-class. Do you use a multiple-camera mount system to get both shots at the same time?
Thank you. I mount the video camera on top of the lens on my dslr and also place one on a tripod and direct it to where I think the planes will pass or come at me
@@DafyddPhillips Just the opinion of this ONE viewer, but I wouldn't mind if the still images were on screen a little longer.
(more watch time for you too)
I’ll Bear that in kind for the next video
Thanks 🎓🎓👌
@@taofledermaus Hit pause you can look long time .
@@DafyddPhillips i would suggest water marking your still
Just like being there or having an air show at home - many many thanks you guys.
Thanks for watching ✈️✈️👍😎
Former USAF guy here.
First, the photography and editing are the best I have ever seen. Thank you so much for your time and effort! Your talents are amazing.
Second, I love all of the planes, but you have got to admire the Tornado with its nose glued to the ground!
Thank you Michael. The tornado pilots did their initial fast jet training in this area so I’m guessing that would be a great advantage. I’m told the harrier and buccaneer pilots would go a bit lower back in the day.
Thanks for watching
Respect ✈️🇺🇸✈️🇺🇸
The noise of any fighter jet makes the hairs on my body lift and gives me chills down my spine great video 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Same here. Can’t get enough!! ✈️✈️✈️✈️😎
Spitfire doesn’t sound bad either
Hoonatic Bloggs agreed also I love the sound of the merlin engine that’s also a wonderful sound as well
These pilots are really superb. It’s like they know the photo enthusiasts are there and they will tilt their aircraft for the best photo effect.
Estelle Melodi Mitchell They do know and they do show off their aircraft for the gathered spotters.
Friend of mine was a Tornado pilot for the R.A.F., he said they loved putting on a bit of a show 😀
I need to go!
I could watch these all day. Each plane is spectacular. The quality of the videos and the stills is impeccable! 👏👏👏
Thanks Rich 👍
The hall of fame !!! Thank you very much
Thank you 😎👍
We build the best jets. I love watching other nations fly them. Super cool
Thank you for your awesome pictures. I'm a plastic modeler, right now building Jas-39 in Czech camo and your picture of this aircraft (7:08) is very rare in precisely showing a discoloration of wing and upper body paint, which I will use as a source for my pre- and post-shading effort. As top view pictures of aircrafts are very rare compared to usual side shots taken at various airshows, this high quality picture from you is especially valuable to me.
Thank you. Hope this link helps.

Simply outstanding... eargasm! Love the t2s whistle too
Love seeing the JPs. Takes me back to my childhood at RAF Cranwell.
Never get bored of hearing jets through the loop!
Thank you for the amazing video! I went through and ID'd each aircraft based on their roundel and colors. I had a lot of fun doing this and learned a lot about each aircraft and their countries. I know that most of you are experts on each of these aircraft, but for new people this was a real treat!!!! I'm looking forward to the next video!
Happy you enjoyed Michael. Appreciate your viewing ✈️✈️✈️👍
A Mirage - have t seen one of those for a long while - nice
FANTASTIC pictures!!! F-15... The King! Thank you.
Tornado still holds a special place in my heart 😍
The best footage I’ve ever seen by a million miles, absolutely fantastic!
Thanks Dave,, appreciated 😎👍
Dafydd Phillips It’s hard to find words to describe just how brilliant this video is. At phenomenal speeds you managed to get mind blowing shots. Thank you for posting these fantastic videos Sir!
A very well put together compilation of some of your excellent work of the past. Your work never gets old as it's just as exciting each time we view it, you're an artist with the camera! Thank you for sharing everything with us.
Thank you,, appreciated 😎✈️👍
Dafydd, your footage and especially your photos of the Loop are second to none. The detail in some of those pictures is absolutely incredible. Been looking at your content for a long time, thought maybe it was time to thank you and praise what you do! Fantastic stuff!
Thank you David and apologies for my slow reply.
Have you seen The one the Piolet Has a sign HI MOM. Cool.
Great air to air photographer. The best !!!
the shot at 3' of the swung wing Tornado was brilliant...
It was indeed.
The buzzard at 6 minutes 26 second even more impressive. It can do swept wings in a dive and also VTOL ! Nature is amazing ....
Excellent photography Dafydd, always a pleasure to watch.
Thank you. Appreciate the kind comments ✈️😎👍
I think the Emirates flew those and they were so freaking LOUD! They always woke me up when they were doing their touch and go's at Al Dhafra AB, UAE.
The still photos are superb! Thank you for sharing them with us. Excellent video (yes, l'm a total aviation geek).
ABSOLOUTLY Spectacular work. Thank you, Pete 🇦🇺. 🏅🎖🏆👍
Thank you Pete 👍
Loved seeing the CF-188's, particularly the one in the NORAD livery. much thanks, this is definitely a bucket list location.
Exhilarating. I'm a retired USAF C-141 tactical pilot and I don't watch aviation videos. But that changed when I discovered your videos. You truly give a glimpse of what it feels to like to fly at treetop level. We never flew as fast as the fighters but I noticed the C-130 and helicopter seemed the lowest, and we would fly tactical one week, and the next week be in Honolulu!
Thank you.
Thanks Troy and happy you found
My channel. Keep tuned ✈️✈️✈️😎👍
Your videos and stills are second to none! I absolutely love this channel! Pilot interaction puts such a unique spin on your photographs
Thanks Tanya. Appreciate your comment 😎👍
This has to be the best Mach Loop video and the footage of the Rafale and Tornado really makes it!
Thanks Mal 👍
I came for this awesomeness and stayed for the gorgeous scenery and photographs. Beautiful work.
Thanks Luciano 😎✈️👍
Great work Dafydd! The footage is first class, combined with the stills and editing it is second to none 🏴
Diolch 🏴👍
That Eurofighter was by far my favorite part, always loved that plane.
The frontline planes makes very maniobrable. I supouse
Perfect place to practice low-level strafing runs safely. Loved the C-130 with all 4 turning.
@@davidmorris6278 Do many live right there? Must be like living near a large airport.
Superb photography! Many years ago, we flew Chipmunks thru the Mach loop. Only doing 110kts but at 50ft. Had to have an instructor in the back so we didn't get too clever. MAJOR fun! CAVU skies to all aviators.
Insane photography. What a combination, worlds best pilots paired with absolutely amazing photographers. Awesome, thanks.
Thanks Brian
The pilots are awesome ✈️✈️✈️
Wife: I hate city life! I want to move to a mountain, with a nice valley and lots of trees

I can relate to that as my misses fancied going to a Greek island a while back. I suggested Skiathos and said no more 😉

Best of all such videos I've seen ! Appreciated is the stop action, to see the awesome paint schemes !

Fantastic pictures, stayed at the BnB Dolffanog Fawr on Lake Tal-y-llyn last year and managed to get a few amateur shots from their garden of these awesome machines with a 200mm lens but damn it was difficult. Must make the trek up that hill one day.
Man I love that 25th anniversary livery on the Tornado @ 10:06!! Great shot! I miss seeing that plane, it always seemed like the Tornado and A-10 would be a sweet team-up! 😄
The tornados/typhoons love showing off the vertical climb
Thanks for the wonderful video. After 34 years in the USAF aircraft maintenance field, I still love the look and sounds of aircraft flying and hauling a$$!
Thank you. ✈️🇺🇸✈️🇺🇸👍
The UK has some of the best scenery on this beautiful planet
Damn right
I love all of the saw-toothed panels and seams on the F-22!!!
Absolutely Brilliant! The video footage itself stands out,but the addition of the stills adds another level of pure magick to this compilation. More Please!!

Stunning. My dream is to go to Mach Loop one day and see this first hand.

Nothing interesting there anymore bro just typhoons and f15s don't go not worth it
aviation spotter very rarely are the Phoon’s even there now. Hawk T2’s and T-6 Texan’s our of Valley is the only “frequent” aircraft.
Every now n then you’ll maybe get a USAF C-130 passing through but the loop is dead compared to old day’s
Great footage! Loved the Jet Provost. Brought back memories of my (late) Grandfather who instructed in them at Cranwell.
Thank you Pete.
Love everyone’s individual relationships with the planes ✈️✈️👍
Great variety of aircraft. The F15 is still my fav after all these years. Just a beast of a plane. Thanks so much for taking the time to make and post this vid. Aircraft fan from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Glad we could provide one of the best valleys for aircraft in the world for you people
Thank you once again for enthralling me and all others.
Thanks for watching Michael 👍
Seems everybody is at the loop nowadays. Nice to a Gripen too.
A lot of these seem to be older videos, the loop isn’t very busy anymore. A real shame
It’s not really like this any more, only hawks, Texas hercs and usaf aircraft based in England use cad these days with helicopters often going via bwlch
Wow 😍😍😍 absolutely stunning images and videography Dafydd, I'm going to have to watch this over and over again to take it all in. Also to try and figure out where on the loop you were for some of the different places I've noticed.
Absolutely stunning 👍 thanks again and stay safe 🌈

the Chinook starting at 3:50 triggers a thought- do the photogs there try to identify them? specifically have you seen ZA718? the famous Bravo November.
I don't quite know where you are, but I wish I was there, wherever that is. Just awesome.
I just happened upon this channel & blown away by not only the video, But the stills are stunning. Brilliant work. Will be watching the others.

Very cool and professionally filmed as well, the sound is very crisp and adds to the enjoyment of seeing these magnificent jets fly by.
