As an intermediate player this one is quite challenging but I'm making progress everyday. Thank you very much for this awesome video, I prefer those vids to songsterr just because I can actually see the player doing it, so I can imitate what you are doing instead of figuring it out on my own. Helped a lot in section 5!

Damn man, three days. If you didn't break this down into manageable sections like you did I'm pretty sure I'd have given up on that section right before the tasty descending run preceeding the final chromatic lick. :P
Loved working through this one, your breakdown of the solo in December Flower is what got me here, great work.

    Great video and congrats! :)
One question: What if I use tapping in that painful stretchy 5th section? I tried so hard for more than one year, warm-ups, hand-stretches, diets etc. but still I can't reach that position! I can do it if I take the section singularly, but if I try to play the rest of the solo it's just not gonna work. I've been playing the solo 1/2 speed for like four months, that section still doesn't wanna work. Help! :(

I can play the first 2 sections of the Symphony of destruction solo but that fast ass run in section 3 or 4 i think, is so hard. Do you know how long I need to practice until I get it?

Come on, man. I've been playing guitar for 1 and a half year and I can do that stretch. My hands were mega stiff at first, couldn't even do 10-14. I just stretched my fingers when at school, tried and tried on guitar, and it was veeeeeeeery painful at first. But now I can do it! All I need to do is practice that part at full speed. And the stuff after the stretchy thang, which is completely weird, and Chris doesn't play it like Marty does...

There are several tutorials of this solo and yours is unequivocally superior to all of them!! Thank you so much for putting it together. You're really the most amazing guitar teacher on UA-cam. Tornado of souls has always been my favourite solo on guitar. I never imagined I'd be able to learn this solo note for note, but thanks to you I have learned this whole solo and hope to be able to play it soon upto full speed. Keep doing what you're doing because you are insipiring so many young guitar players out there.❤️❤️❤️❤️I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope and pray that your channel keeps on growing👍

The beginning part of the final section starting at 21:15 may be off. You play it very well, though with the mistake, how unnatural it feels playing it and with many people including Broderick playing it differently, I may try to transpose it somewhere else. Otherwise this is by far the best version of this solo I've ever found. I can play everything but that stupid section because of having to alternate pick the finger rolls. I could just be me not giving it enough time but fuck man ive been practicing this for 3 weeks!

If you believe that even the person who wrote the solo plays it the same way every time without modifications, making mistakes or missing notes, you are truly delusional. Its so annoying when people are just obsessed with a studio version of a solo that was recorded at a moment in time and was probably never played the same way again and any variation is just so unacceptable and then criticize those who try to help people learn who couldn't do it on their own. Who cares.

@@WillGGG Clearly you care. You care enough to assume things about a random, then call them delusional lol. Please continue to get offended, then say "who cares". It's hilarious.
