Youngstown and Southeastern Railroad Y&S 1706 GP16 barks up a grade branch line train in fall colors

- Starting in Youngstown, I chased a railroad new to my channel. The crew had tied down after interchanging the day before so they were easy to locate warming up their engine along Poland Ave. I set up at Powersdale ave for the first shot where the train climbs the grade and tight quarters between a junk yard and a cliff. The freeway made it easy to rush to South Ave for the overpass shot. From there I moved to E Florida Ave for another scene. Is everything in Ytown named Ave??
Southern BLVD parallels the railroad for miles so I got them several more times along there before setting up at Miley Rd in North Lima to shoot them coming into their yard. They would tie the train down here and go to Signal to bring a train north but that is a train for another video!

Good crews. Nice folks. Typical struggling short line
Thanks for another great video with your great colorful drone views.
Camp chase box cars are pretty cool. I see those here in Columbus at their tiny yard all the time.
Live about 5minutes from most of the lower end of this railroad line. Still runs .
Great little video of a truly obscure line and I hate to say it I thought it was abandoned as you never hear about it. Between the rolling Hills the little warehouse at the end and the inner urban Style side of the road running make this line unique. Also glad you were able to capture the homemade scrap yard fencing truly bizarre
I got to see this locomotive when I was hanging out in the old P&LE buildings and take the boxcars away
Very Cool!!
Some lovely shots. I like the pacing drone shot, and the train slowly coming over the horizon at10:33,rolling like a boat in a heavy swell
one of your best vids ever, in my opinion daddy typauleeeeeee
Great Shots, gotta love short line railroading.
Sometime check out the line from North Lima south to Signal occasionally they run further south than that, also that true value with the box cars is a must to check out, box cars filled with Lionel trains and other scales 2nd floor has a couple little layouts
Excellent short line Scott!!!
Very cool video and catch. We got photos only of this RR when we went through this area last June. Have a nice rest of your day.
Great video. Thanks !
Nice video! The track needs some serious work! So many dips in the rail, surprised there hasn't been a derailment
Nicely done, with many beautifully composed scenes.
Awesome shot at 2:40 ……long hood forward and can see the crew
Rock and Roll!
Very nice! The Y&S is one of my favorites and it was one of the first private railroads in the east. It started as a small private coal rr in Cannelton PA
Is that the reason there is not connection with the NS rail to the south of Youngstown (the route currently involved in the EP derailment); i.e. a bridge, not even a diamond...
@@tehpw7574 there used to be at Columbiana OH.
14:20 where is that diamond located at? Suggestion: Maybe film around Hubbard, either in the city for the multi back and forth runs of gondola's to PA or the occasional run either north or south from the connected wye...
I'm from that area, but this is a new shortline to me.
This Shortline has been around for a long
I really enjoy watching this railroad! Where are they located?
In Ohio there main place is North Lima
looks like NYAR ngl
