hey bud, I installed a new speed controller on mine and it runs at a very low speed, cannot adjust the speed higher, link goes red if I press - or +, do you know how to fix this ? cheers
Hey mate! When replacing a speed controller, it needs to be actioned and repaired by an authorised Mirka service agent. We have specific software to activate the new speed controllers - otherwise without activation, the speed controller won't be responsive to any RPM changes. Please reach out to us on sales@goind.com.au and we can assist further!
Hey Ricky, unfortunately these repairs can only be actioned by Mirka authorised repairers, as a particular tool is required to remove the motor and bearings. If you're based in Australia, we can do this on your behalf! Please email sales@goind.com.au and we can talk further :)
Hi Victor, thank you for your comment! The Deros unit can be used with both the 125mm (5") backing pad and the 150mm (6") backing pad. You just simply unscrew the backing pad and swap them over. If you are looking for a 150mm backing pad we sell them on our website, see the link below: goind.com.au/products/mirka-backing-pad-for-deros-sanders-150mm-range
Thanks for your comment Zonial! If you purchased the Deros on it's own it does not come with the 125mm backing pad or paper. This only comes with the 2-in-1 kit that also includes the hard case. You can still purchase the 125mm separate, just check with the supplier you purchased the Mirka from.
Hi Vincent, that is not good to hear! I believe what has happened is the glue that holds the motor in place has come loose. If you take your unit to a local service agent they should be able to repair this for you! Hope this helps
My bolts were factory glued and had to be removed in the bench vice as the hex socket got damaged immediately as the bolt it self is made out of toffi Ha ha.
Sorry to hear that Matt! We're always happy to help out with the installation of the weights if you have any troubles in AUS. Hope you got it working just fine!
Why are there so many complaints about reliability, and poor customer service? Im on the fence regarding buying one. I am trying to understand peoples complaints and how likely it is to encounter product and customer service fails.
Hi Neil, Can't say that we have encountered many issues at all with these units and with Mirka directly. GO Industrial is a registered Mirka distributor and warranty agent, meaning we look after every one of our Mirka customers with sales and support - if there are any issues within the 3 year warranty period we bring the units back free of charge and get them repaired under warranty. If you are in Australia and wanna have a bit more of a chat about Mirka gear feel free to head to our website and send us a message, always happy to help! goind.com.au/
I have 4 Mirka sanders one of which is the Deros and it’s a shame they don’t make them anymore. I’m in the USA, the Mirka service here is terrible based on my experience. Their knowledge of these tools is just as bad. If I was to do it over I’d go Festool
@@Veteran1965 Thank you for that clear and honest response. Since seeing the Wood whisperer's video. I am convinced there's just too many unrealiabilities. I went Festool as well. I don't regret it.
Think I understood but this wasn't the best video on UA-cam. Took far to long to explain. Could have said it all in 3 mins and didn't go into where to actually put what and when.
Hey James, thanks for your feedback. Check out the footage from 7:52 onwards to see where to install the weights. The video explains when the weights need to be used and in what instance - hence the length of the video. We'd rather be super thoroughly and provide an understanding on why the weights need to be installed, rather than a slap-stick tutorial with no added benefit.
Thank you! I did not understand what the nuts were for
Thank you!! Just bought one of these and and didn't even know this was possible!
You're welcome! Hope you're enjoying your Deros!
Great video
Thank you!
How long those bolts?

Just literally bought this. Came with 150mm pad, 4 pcs of sandpaper, tool, cord, and manual. No extra pad nor 125mm sandpaper.

I don't have to do all that sh*t with the Festool ETS EC 125 / 3 RAS.
That's great! With the Mirka Deros, you have the ability to change between two backing pad sizes, without needing to purchase another sander 😉
@@GOIndustrial That can also be done with the Festool ETS EC. Look here: ua-cam.com/video/B1TmsDlq8xw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=OverkillWoodcraft
