he completed his 2 minutes of zoomies and he is now ready for his 24 hour nap. me too buddy.

That's about right for a grey dog no doubt
And some water
He obviously isnt fit, yet ;)
Please no negative comments for people who rescue animals, and the yard is fine. Love and caring count more. Max looks pretty happy.😊❤
My only suggestion would be to use caution when moving things in the yard. Dogs get a trusted zomie path and will run right into a new object. My Doberman got a cracked skull once. A boat trailer was moved 2 feet and he hit it head on. That dog is so happy. Plenty of room to play. One lucky dog.
What negative comments a beautiful green backyard for Max to run in.
Looks awesome to me
Who would?
I don’t know where you are from but, last I looked, I live in a free country. I’ll say what I want and you are more than welcome to reply. 😎
How could anyone say anything negative when they see how happy that sweet baby is?❤❤❤❤
As a person who's involved in rescue, I think this is a FUN yard. A GREAT yard. Three zillion times better than a crate and no room to ZOOOOOOOM.
Aww, he loves the freedom and open space. Thank you for adopting your new member of the family. Congratulations! 😅
and to "go inside" for water too.
thank you! 💖
He is more interested in his boundaries, and when he finds out how huge, zooming is a response, don’t care about no ball right now.
Very nice!
@@Max-the-Greyhound ha ha so funny he doesn’t give a bugger about the ball. He’s just utterly thrilled to just run and run and run and run.😂❤🎉
My wife fell in with a greyhound at an adoption event. However, she was told the dog had been abused by a man and could never be adopted in a house with a man. When they brought her over, she looked at me sitting on the floor, jumped into my lap, and was home.
His running back and forth and then crashing on the grass like that is complete happiness. Your good people. Thank you. 🇨🇦🥰
Thank you rescuing this baby. He just loves running and he loves feeling the grass.
Love people who rescue any dogs, especially greyhounds. So lovely to see.💖
Like firemen you mean?
why 'especially' greyhounds? All dogs are sentient and intelligent, all dogs need a loving home.
@steve80239 Greyhounds aren't rescued. They are retired and adopted. They're never in any danger.
@@jameschan9634
I was thinking "animals" but, that's just me...
@@momtotywhat rubbish. There have been two enquiries into cruelty in the greyhound racing industry in Australia in the past five years. There are hundreds of dogs euthanised when no longer able to race. You just have to look at some of the people involved in dog and horse racing to know what goes on
He is so happy that he Ran out of fuel ! 😅 Thanks guys ! 👏You’re love to him will be fully retributed ❤
When I rescued my Irish Setter 12 years ago, we went to a closed doggy park. The zoomies went on for 3 hours......
He's playing dead so no one takes him away from this heaven
We adopted 3 greyhounds over the years . This video defines the hounds , amazing burst of speed and than a long nap .
@IrishSetter01 Zoomies are just an Outward Expression of his UNBRIDLED JOY in "KNOWING he is HOME, that there are TWO HOOMANS ..."TWO" HOOMANS HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH HIM JUST FOR BEING HIMSELF! AND HE HAS A HUGE YARD ALL TO HIMSELF (AND HIS NEW HOOMANS) And THERE IS NOT ANOTHER PUP-PUP WHO HE CAN'T PLAY WITH, RUNNING AS HARD AS THEY CAN BECAUSE THEY ARE 'SPOSED" TOO. HE KNOWS that he can run "JUST BECAUSE" HE WANTS TO. THEN HE KNOWS HE CAN FLOP ON THE GROUND "SNORE BREATHING" AND ONE of"HIS" HOOMANS"⁶ WILL RUN TO FETCH HIM SOME WATER! OH WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY FOR THIS PRECIOUS BABY WHO KNOWS that HE CAN DO PRETTY MUCH WHATEVER HE WANTS. HE KNOWS WHAT THIS IS...ITS "HIS" HOUSE, "HIS" BACKYARD, "HIS" HOOMANS..
"HIS HOME"
AND
*HE KNOWS*
"HE IS LOVED"...
AND MOST OF ALL HE KNOWS THAT "LIFE IS SO VERY SWEET!"
My late father adopted retired Greyhounds. This yard seems perfect.
That dog is in heaven and that is a HUGE yard❤
It's funny how in 10 strides he teaches one end of it though hahaha
It’s so nice he has a clover yard--no chemicals! He’s beautiful and I’m so glad he’s loved.
It is truly amazing how many people have a problem with zero-scaping these days. Natural yards just aren't good enough for some people.
@@billybarrett5223 agree.
@@billybarrett5223 In the summer, my rescued Feist does her zoomies around the colonies of goldenrod and fleabane in our yard. And lies in the clover. And we all hear the bees. Good for you!
Just got to watch out for bees when it's in flower
@@billybarrett5223 It's taken me four summers to rehabilitate the front yard at my parents's former house -- including one year where the city tore out a third of the yard to completely rebuild the street and left me with pebbly, hard-compacted, sterile dirt. This year I finally got green cover without having to water the yard even a single time. Only green ground cover that wants to grow under those conditions gets to stay. All work is done by bare hands or with non-electric/non-motorized equipment, and by me all by myself. I was even able to fill in some squirrel-dug bare patches with transplanted grass clumps that had been flourishing in driveway cracks. It drives my retired, yard-obsessed next-door neighbor with the uniformly green, spongy grass crazy, because he thinks my yard just looks so primitive compared to his, and probably also thinks I should quit my 60+-hours-per-week job and spend all my time making my yard match his.
Nothing more wonderful than a greyhound running full out. 😊
Yes I agree. Running freely for the sake of running. NOT for humans as entertainment!

My dog is only part greyhound, but watching her run in our yard is one of my favorite things.
Well, maybe one thing.
Greyhound running full out, and their tail is wagging nonstop 😂
That's not running full out. He runs out of yard before he gets more than halfway up to speed.
There is nothing that fills me with pure joy like seeing a greyhound running happily! Great doggie!
Any dog!
He's absolutely loving it....and the green clover grass... living the life now!
When he stretched out on the grass he looked like he knew he was in a really good place.
This yard is mine now, thank you.
Omg! That lip flappin' sigh at about 1:19 had me rolling and roaring with laughter! 🤣
I saw that too! And I love how he gives a slight nod to the toys as he passes them! I had to watch this several times!
So sweet!
Sounded like a horse 🐴
There is no greater joy than watching a rescued dog enjoying their first experience of freedom. And then going "plop" afterwards. I've enjoyed the experience 3 times in the last 30 years, and it's still fresh in my mind. At my age and increasing disabilities (85), my current "pure bred American mutt" will be my last. Every minute I spend with her is pure joy (except when she refuses to go for a walk in the rain!). ❤❤❤❤❤
Typical greyhound, run like crazy, then sleeps for hours.🐾🐾🐺👏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
He just feels so good to be able to stretch his legs and breathe. 😊
Like all of us. 💖
@debramedina5756 He's always been able to breath and stretch his legs, every day of his life.
@@momtoty Oooooo, I feel so dissed now. 😥😥😥😥
But they're using the wrong toys. Clearly they need to use a football because he wants to go long.
He's so fast that halfway through his run he has to start applying the breaks. Love it!!
Cheetah faster
Yeah, I saw that, lol. Ran right past his toy.😅
@@srvntlilly
No mere toy can ever replace of joy of simply being free...
@@tiffsaver No, of course not. I even know that for myself. But at that particular moment, he was running for the toy. ☺️
IKR!!😂
Thank you so much for giving this precious baby a good life!!!
Max Looks BLISSFUL! What a BEAUTIFUL, HAPPY BOY!
Being a greyhound pawrent, you soon learn that after a minute of zoomies, it requires 3 hours of sleep! They don't require a huge yard to run around in. Just lots of soft spaces for those spiky bones, and a ton of affection😊
I find it helps to administer ice cream 🍦
*Parent 🤦♂️
@katherineklevenow1808 why would giving dairy products to any creature that is lactose intolerant be helpful? 🤔
@@memphisdaniels3218 It was a joke 🤣
@@memphisdaniels3218*Owner. It's a dog, not your son 🤦♂️
He’s probably saying to himself, “I am free”. Good for him and thank you for giving your fur-kid a new life.
He looks so happy ....thank you for rescuing this gorgeous boy ❤
He just loves his new home. ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful example of Freedom.
Thank you for providing him with a wonderful, safe and happy sanctuary.
Oh, he is soooo happy🙃🥰 Screw the toy, running is it! And he loves the grass under his body so much. Happy dog all around. Thanks owners!!!!

So sweet 🥰 That’s a good tired, beautiful zoomies Max, he’s got a great yard for his new favorite thing to do, ZOOMIES 🐶💙🐶 Thank you 🙏 Max, you made my day❣️🤗🥰🐶🥰🤗🤗
Max says hello!! 😍🥰
That would go well with Mazda's zoom, zoom, zoom car adverts. Lol.
Its a beautiful thing to see a rescue have the zoomies. Like a flower blooming😊
He's a beautiful, happy boy. Viewing this video, I felt his joy.❤
It’s all yours!!! Hooray for you Max❤❤❤
Awww for the first time he’s running free and can feel the grass beneath his paws & body.❤️ Hrs in his forever home! Wonderful
Actually they ‘run free’ as pups, and months before actual training, and some on that is on grass. This isn’t a case of lab animals or zoo animals never being outside of a cage. You can find some of that on UA-cam.
@fifi2154 He's always been able to run free. He also knows what grass is. He's just retired now and tarting a whole new chapter in his life.
A very happy Greyhound. I have owned three retired racing Greys. This guy is a perfect example of a well adjusted pet.
She said “your zonked”. I think he’s overwhelmed by love and joy. It’s a greyhound! They don’t zonk, lol. Love to your family. Blessings!
Go Max go! Love the flappitty puffing near the end!
Max is beyond happy with his new home/family. Thanks for making Max part of your family. Shalom
Look at the joy he’s showing after finding his forever home with a loving family
i just love greyhounds, they are so beautiful and friendly😊
beautiful .. a good sweet smart fast ‘n free boy he loves grass n good U give him fresh water and lots of love ♥️
He's gorgeous!! Happy happy happy! Now living the best life ever!
Not just a yard, but a Max size yard. It’s perfect!
Bless y’all for that compassion. Got a daughter who loved animals so much as a child, my mother started talking to her often about being a veterinarian. Well she did it. After 8 years at one clinic she is now working as a relief vet. She works part time but the pay is enough to let her have some time off. She needed it. Caring every day for sick pets and sad clients took a toll on her. She found a happy medium. I’ve had folks who don’t know she is my daughter tell me how much they love their veterinarian. Makes me misty eyed, often.
From.Tasmania I have adopted a gorgeous greyhound who does zoomies too. Thank you for adopting a greyhound
I love your rescue puppy. (I call all dogs 'puppies' no matter their age.) Old dogs deserve love. ALSO, love your clover-rich lawn! So important for the bees in early spring. Cheers!
He's 6 and a half.
I call them all puppies too 😊
I love Max, so happy for him! Pure joy and contentment for him, what a love. ❤
Such a happy boy… thank you to all the wonderful people who rescue dogs and animals.
What a sweet boy!! Now, that is a great way to celebrate his arrival and saving! Amazingly beautiful, also!! Good job!! Thank you for sharing!!
Has he “chittered” at you yet !! My moms greyhound ‘chitters’ when he’s happy, it’s the most adorable sound xx
He's purring!!
Max doing zoomies and loving the grass. That's awesome. ❤
Max is adorable. Womderful yard! That is a very happy dog! Bless you!❤
The unbridled joy. Love it. Thank you for rescuing him.
Superb! This greyhound is in heaven. I love that he ignores the toys thrown for him to "hunt down" but he just loves to run, not chase down stuff, that was the old life, fantastic.
Ahhh joy. Even animals understand freedom!
Max loves his zoomies yard, rubbing his on the grass says I love my new yard lol 😂Max you're so cute and funny
Max is absolutely adorable. 😍
thank you! 💖
Love watching this HAPPY DOG enjoying his new retirement & LIFE.
He’s so joyful when he runs! Beautiful!
Lifted my heart!❤
Thank you for rescuing this gorgeous dog!
@grahamblackall6305 He wasn't rescued, he was retired from racing and adopted. He was never in any danger to be rescued from.
@@momtotyStop. That is inaccurate at MANY dog racing tracks, unfortunately.
@@BBlair-if8tj No it's not inaccurate! What danger are they in? What tracks have you seen greyhounds in danger? When? You must've been to whole lot of tracks to make that statement and I really want to know what tracks they were and what danger did you see yourself? I'll wait for your answers.
Love that he’s so happy now.❤
A friend of mine rescued 2👍
She said they look like they have horse bodies and a bicycle seat head.😅
Such an accurate description 😂😂
@Monacat123 He's always been happy since birth. They are never rescued, just retired.
@@momtoty
Really? You are reprimanding me on use of a word? Sorry you don’t approve but I’m not a fan of Greyhound racing. They are not treated like regular dogs until they stop raving unlike horses I worked for many trainers that let their babies run in the fields until 2 and then they start training, no different than other horses just a different style of riding.
I stand by my original post.
@@GoRideConnor You're right, they're not treated like regular dogs, they're treated better. Greyhound puppies get to be puppies for the 1st 14 months of their lives just playing and sleeping all day with their siblings. Other puppies are taken away from their siblings and mother at 8 weeks old. Then once they graduate to the kennels to start training to race, they are with other greyhounds their age every day along with trainers that give them plenty of attention all day, every day. Then they get to race, which is what they love to do. If they could race every day they would, but they only get to race once or twice a week. In between racing they get to play with the other greyhounds, they get walked, groomed, checked by kennel vets, rub downs, sprint runs, belly rubs and treats all day. They have a much better life than most adopted dogs do. Some kennels have whirlpools for them to go in to loosen up tight muscles. Does your greyhound have his own whirlpool? Have you ever been to a kennel?
Aww, he got the Zoomies😆🥰 bless his heart! You're his rescuer 💞
Max sounds like a horse galloping! Great yard -- trees, lawn, fresh air and a loving family; doesn't get much better!
Look how happy. Adorable pup. Running free!!! This lifted my spirits❤
I had two ex racing Greyhounds and a one acre fenced back yard. They both loved to run and when they "stretched out in their stride" it was thing of beauty, sooo graceful. They are truly graceful, gentle wonderful dogs.
What a wonderful new life. All any of them need is love and safety. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Teehee! Max is adorabiggle! And your lawn seems perfect, not a 3/8" precision cut green sheet, but a fun soft lawn, perfect to run about or lie down on!
He appears to be happier running and rolling in the grass then running on a dirt track. Enjoy your new home pup
I miss my boy so much. Every time I see other dogs having fun I'm reminded of how much fun we used to have.
Though I'm glad he's not suffering anymore, Dogs only break your heart when they pass away.

Anybody who rescues any animal is a hero in my book, good for you, he's a lovely dog, bless you all ❤❤😊
He's a beautiful boy! Looks very happy rolling in that clover!
Heartwarming to see an adopted dog so happy!
Loved our greyhounds. Oh, how they loved to run in the yard and then go inside and sleep. Sweet and loving.
This is exactly like what our greyhound Barney did. He loved the freedom and love he received. Greyhound’s are very gentle dogs and do not deserve to be treated like garbage. Our Barney was the same color as yours. Enjoy and give him the best life for his remaining years.
He looks just like my guy, Big Rafael, same coloring and size (85lbs), whom I got at 5 right after retiring from the track. He was with us until he was 13 and enjoyed every minute of his existence, just like this guy's gonna do. Bless you for giving him such a wonderful space.
greyhounds chase balls, they don't retrieve balls.
My greyhound used to retrieve her squeaky ball. I miss her so much.
I trained my greyhound to retrieve
I stand corrected 🙂
Awesome backyard! He knows he is in good hands! Do enjoy the next chapter together! Just wonderful!!! ❤
I agree it is an awesome back yard. I would love to plant a bunch of bee friendly perennials along the fence and keep the rest open for the pup to the zoomies.
Fabulous to see him running because he wants to, for fun, full of the joy of living instead of trapped in a kennel apart from brief races to earn money for selfish people until he's discarded again. Enjoy your new life lovely boy, this is the beginning of the rest of it & it's looking good!
❤❤❤
Happiness! freedom to run on nice green grass! 👍🐾🧚♀️💚
As a greyhound Max does extra fast zoomies 😅 💙
You can tell how happy he is! I wonder how long it has been since he ran on grass. The most endearing rescue video I’ve seen! Thanks, and great job! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
They are born at the track, where they lie in crates, and run on a dirt track; they have no experience on grass until they get to a foster home. I got my grey just 3 weeks after he was retired, and he took a while to get used to the feel of grass.
@@aardvarkhole that is heartbreaking. all dog tracks should be against the law. permanently
