@M no one gives a shit, I just like the sport and just because more people like soccer than rugby league, doesn’t change the fact that I think it’s better
Is it me or are some of these tries from 1990? Ian Maurice and Rex Mossop weren't part of Ten's commentary team in 1991 and Peter Jackson was with Brisbane in 1990 and North Sydney in 1991.
Holden308 Yep the Broncos games featured were all in 1990. The Parramatta game they came back from 22-8 to win 24-22 with 10 mins to go. The Manly game the Broncos got beaten 18-4 in the slosh at Brookvale and the Balmain game at Lang Park was 30-16. 32,000 were there and it was the Broncos' first win ever over Balmain. I was at that Balmain game. We loved to hate Balmain then. Greg Dowling was captain that day.
From 16:12 to 20:03 all those tries were from 1990. I was at that classic Parra v Brisbane game, even as a Penrith fan. Parra led 22-8 but Broncos ran them down to win 24-22.
It’s notable that Steve Carter never scored a hat-trick in a regular season game. Surprise to see Mark Geyer showing such skills. Had he not been sin-binned he would have won that year‘s Clive Churchill Medal.
@@pwatts8846 On his play when on the field, Geyer did deserve the medal - he created all three Penrith tries. It is fair, though, that if he was sin-binned Geyer should not have received it - the only trouble is that I never saw the incident that I have always thought cost Geyer the Churchill.
The year Penrith finally went from the Chocolate Soldiers to a premiership winner.

Steve carter from Penrith was a great player.
Took me a second to realise that was the bears lol. Haven't seen one of those jerseys for 25 years 😕

Holden308 Absolutely right. I was about to comment the same thing. I recognised the tries from Brisbane v Balmain from an old Vhs

Holden308 you are correct. The sharks and raiders game on screen 20-8 was in 1990. I remember the game, I’m a sharks fan ☹️

Great footy
Notice the fans sitting in front of the fence .
The NRL wouldn't allow that these days.
imagine if geyer dived in to the in goal and took a kid out.

Alexander or Simmons should have won it.

@@guodade2239 Mouthing off at Harrigan.
@ 4:35 the target of success is now set for the last sunday of september
and don't forget the Simmons Winfield Cup GF clinching try
Still the only hooker to score twice in a grand final.
Should bring back the pre season comp as oppose to playing pre season trials that don't mean anything
Penguin 🐧
This is 1990 not 91
It's 1991 mainly but 1990 is late in the video
