I’ll never forget this night. I was 18. I was at bribie RSL with some mates having a great night celebrating my first week as an apprentice, Saw the score at halftime and thought damn there goes another year. Picked up a gorgeous young lass with massive personalities was having the night of my life saw the last 5 minutes nearly died. My mate walked over and said “if Melbourne wins tomorrow night the broncos will be premiers if it’s (St.George from memory) then they will win.” Bloke absolutely nailed his prediction. What a damn night.
They've all chimed in about Shaun Berrigan being put out there on the left side to conserve his energy for attack? To the point of Matty Johns saying "If I was Bennett, I'd move him to the other side!" This is why Wayne is the Super Coach and not them, They think he made a mistake! Berrigan is a bodyline diesel engine that keeps going all day, which they have momentarily forgotten and we all know, put out there to defend and give those outside a hard time... Proof: Bennett put Shaun Berrigan out there again against Storms in the Grand Final... He kept Greg Inglis under lock & key defending all game, AND out played Cameron Smith in the hooker dummy half role in the middle!!! Hahaha. Do you honestly think Wayne would make a mistake like putting Berrigan out there to rest opposite Sonny Bill Williams and his outside center, please... anyway, the drongos caught on during the this Final (54:34) or 44:34 minute mark of this game. When Rabbits Warren called Berrigan SuperHuman while replaying his try, Gould,Sterling, Voss,Johns went quiet, Pin Drop Stuff. Hahahaha (sorry4 my setem straight mini rant. Lol)
I went to a bbq at Broncos training at their final pre season training session before playing the cowboys in round 1 they had the game where you throw the ball threw a hole and win a stubbie cooler my mum isn't shy seen Locky talking to someone so she walked over grabbed Locky's hand and dragged him to the game to win her a prize Locky being such a good bloke accepted and attempted to win the stubbie cooler his 1st pass missed Locky was shocked his 2nd pass was closer but missed then I could see Locky's eyes he wasn't happy but also had a determination in his eyes 3rd one he nailed I walked away thinking the Broncos would lose to the Cowboys the next day but we'd have a good season We lost to the Cowboys and later in the season we were on a losing run an played the Storm it was a nail biter we lost the game but I seen the same look in Locky's eyes at the end of that game that I had seen after he missed that 2nd pass after that game I told anyone that would listen that we had turned it around against the Storm we just didn't get the chocolates they laughed then the Broncos started their run Bookies had us at $17 to win the title
Imagine if Brett Seymour stayed off the grog. In 2005 until he got injured he was the favourite to play 7 for Queensland over Thurston and incumbent Scott prince. He was in similar form in the 1st half of 06 before he got sacked for booze, and was never as good again.
I’m eight years old my name is Brooklyn I am at home in my bed after dinner at 5:57 pm Saturday 11th of July 2020 I love my life and I am in School holidays in July my dad goes for the Tigers and my dad’s dad is still alive and he goes for Broncos and my dad is at his dad and mum‘s house and I’m at home with my mum and little brother watching footy❤️💩🤩🤪
I just brought Darius Boyd’s biography yesterday I’m already 70 pages in but he mentioned at halftime when we walked into the sheds Willie Mason said to his fellow Bulldogs teammates we are going to the grandfinal boys apparently Darius mentioned our older boys including Webcke weren’t pleased to hear that so that motivated the boys in the next half and look what happened we beat Bulldogs I find that so interesting as before I never knew Willie said that when the boys were walking into the sheds but glad he did as that motivated us to win
@@MrRodzilla yeah it's the refs fault that the broncos piled on 30 answered points in the second half is it? It had nothing to do with the horrible defence from the bulldogs, oh well, losers will always find an excuse to blame someone else.
Mate was a Dogs supporter couldn't come watch the game but somehow managed to show up at halftime talking mad shit then he sat there gobsmacked for the next 40 mins
54:24 Forward pass 1:03:53 Forward pass 1:21:07 Deliberately played at the ball. If any of these obvious calls were made by the officials - just one of the three - the whole game changes. Especially the first or third one.
The Dogs really missed Tonga that night. Ben Roberts, in like his 6th first grade game, was way out of his depth at centre. Also I've never seen such an over rated forward pack get slaughtered so hard. I don't think too many people were rating Omeley, Mason, Asotasi or Myles in the same class as Webcke or Civo after this game.
Storms inherited refs assistance and made an art of it, as well as building an empire CHEATING so many who gave blood, sweat, tears, time, love, energy and dollars! Over a Million People witnessed cheating and got cheated by Melbourne Storms in a national / international sport. Just saying because that hurts more
The excuse of losers. Never hear successful people blaming others for their failures it’s always life long losers blaming the ref. Good to see you mentally peaked at 6.
One of Darren Lockyers greatest games, the way he brought his team back was quite something. Tremendous player
@M we don't care what you think
@M So we are only allowed to like Soccer football? Thanks Adolf.
Brings back memories of 2006, I'm watching in 2024
Lockyers performance was unbelievable in the second half. One of the most dominant displays by a 5/8 in a half of football
One of the greatest come backs in Broncos history. All the old players to.
@M What is your point? No one is disagreeing with you, but everyone is entitled to like whatever they want.
@M People like lawn bowls too, yet not everyone, perfectly ok, they don't want to dominate the world, lawn bowls fans are happy.
One of my favourite games by the broncos
I was a lunatic that night could not believe how we lost
Mine too, also the game a week later✊

Love a big set of personalities.
I never knew stupendous was a word until I watched this game.
@M You must be so boring, imagine being like you.🤣

Well said mate
I found someone else who also noticed Berrigans defence against Inglis in the grand finale👈🏾✌🏾Inglis had no room at all, frustrated him😂
The year i became a broncos supporter and my first grand final
I remember this game. It was a most good game
The good ol days ☹️
I love how people always call the Hodges to Berrigan pass forward, do they not understand how perspective works?

We lost to the Cowboys and later in the season we were on a losing run an played the Storm it was a nail biter we lost the game but I seen the same look in Locky's eyes at the end of that game that I had seen after he missed that 2nd pass after that game I told anyone that would listen that we had turned it around against the Storm we just didn't get the chocolates they laughed then the Broncos started their run

BERRIGANS GOING FOR THE CORNER, BERRIGAN! BERRIGAN!!
Never underestimate Berrigan, Gus. Wayne Bennett is the super coach he knows what he is doing. Berrigan is a different
With the squad both teams have now would make a interesting finals
please upload 2005 Broncos games and more 2006 Broncos games and 2007 2008 Broncos games
or just say, please upload 2000 games!
Fuck I miss the master class of Lockyer. Imagine if Lote and Sailor stayed in that team 🔥

Mason at halftime: They've got nothing
Mason at fulltime: O.O
I was there such a great 2nd half
Game 2 origin 2006 is when Locky became a true number 6👈🏾after that game he made 5/8 a go to game winner again✌🏾
Broncos really struggle in the first half of the game.
5 dislikes from Bulldogs fans

The referee also must have heard it
@@MrRodzilla LMAO thats funny but still UP THE BRONCOS
Willie mason had money on the broncos
Allegedly Willy told Shane he had a great career but now he could book a flight to Hawaii because the bulldogs were going to the grand final.

2006 2007 broncos and bulldogs games please
Love the broncos
The person on top of me is hot and the bottom are cool
Harrigan and his cute decisions
It was this moment that Willie Mason regretted counting his chickens too early at Half Time 😂
I swear i heard willie mason at halftime. Did i just imagine that?
Willie Mason at half-time, we're going to the grand final boy's 😂
Witch team were you going for?
Lol Matt Utai 1:20:59
😂😂😂😂
yeah, WTF, his coach Folkes, would have had his 5th kitten for the game
Now it’s 6 pm
Mate was a Dogs supporter couldn't come watch the game but somehow managed to show up at halftime talking mad shit then he sat there gobsmacked for the next 40 mins
Watching this in 2023 for lols
Hodges 9 meter foward pass
Why isnt Lockyer an immortal
The person below me is correct
That first bronco try is definitely not a try absolutely robbed smh

The best i was in Brissie
52:18
1:07:38 = no penalty.
53:33 broncos come back
57:44
ive seen so many high contact and the ref didnt blow once. today each would be a sin bin
🙌🤑💯 UP THE BRISBANE BOYS. 👌😂
1:31:46,the cheer girls for the bulldogs look exactly opposite to cheerful,as they should this night.
1:08:08 the referee should put himself on report for missing it, bulldogs were very unlucky also with that bogus first brisbane try
Bulldogs are losers and so are you
NSW just don’t get rugby league 😂
