I was just researching beach destinations for September. I didn’t want to opt for a Caribbean beach due to the hurricane and I’ve already been to the ABC islands. A few options popped up including Cretes! I was stunned by the beauty of the beaches and seeing your videos I’m even more in aww! I"ve been in Kurfo twice and also in Crete Elafonise Beach was actualy a Pink Beach sadly Tourist was Taking Sands Home just Emagine how many Millions of People every year doing that.. The water is Perfect there when the Sun is realy Warm Greece is my Favorite Place. I also join the most Beautiful 5hrs Hikes in Creat sorrounded Huge Mountain, rivers and at the end of the Trills there is a Beach where we went Swimming .. Balos Beach is also Beautiful its very busy on the Pick Season its nice to see places i"ve already been on your video🙂.
Visited Elafonsi Beach last summer on a day trip from Chania. Stopped in a mountain village on the way back. While there bought several containers of honey which I gave away as gifts when I returned home.

One place you mustn’t miss is Mátala, I was there in the early 1970’s, back then there was only one taverna, we slept in the famous caves at night. It has become known as a hippie haven. But as usual it’s not like it was when I first went there, though still well worth visiting 😊🎉

I finally had a chance to visit Greece earlier this year and I really enjoyed visiting the few islands that I got to experience. I definitely want to return and explore more Greek islands in the future. My only complaint about Greece so far is their beach water is cold compared to the Philippines. I won't swim in cold water.
August is warm but everything is really expensive and overcrowded. September is the best temperature because the sea has been warming all summer long and less crowded. Early October is still good tho but air temperature is declining at that time and occasionally thunderstorms are quite often.
It actualy depends which month you go for vacation. I've been in greece so many times in different Iland every Year in the Middle of June the water is actualy Perfect from Temperature its isnt cold at all for me was the best Avatar Temperature sofar Compare to the water Beaches in Portugal it's Ice cold the water never get Warm there even on high Season where Temperature is going Up to 40degree the Water stays Ice Cold..
Greece has a perfect Med climate with actual seasons. The Philippines go from muggy, to suffering, all the way to unbearable humidity like most places in the world that are wet.

However, I don't care forctrying to ti e my ocean swimming with the time of the year. I prefer beaches like those in the Philippines or Maldives where the beach water is warm and comfortable all year long.

Water there is much colder especially in May. I don’t even want to imagine how cold Falasarna is in may. It was freezing in July - nevertheless probably my favorite beach in the world and the cold water made it that much better

At peak times Elafonisi can be incredibly busy, a victim of its own success. A few years ago you could walk across a sandbar to the 'island.' Now it's an island again like it was the first time we went in 1989. Another beach nearby has also lost a lot of sand in the past year or two. Last time we were in Crete the tunnel with the traffic lights was stopped in both directions. It seems that the lights had malfunctioned and were on red both ways. Fortunately someone drove through anyway unlocking the system. Going South we didn't have much of a delay but there was a huge queue on the Northbound side of the road.
Yes unfortunately Chris' license expired when we left the US as it was tied to his temporary visa and he has no way to get a new one quickly. That is why you usually only see him riding the scooters in places like the philippines where many islands don't check your license and have no traffic police
The way you make videos is great, you tend to give your viewers the best not like other you tubers who don't give the necessary information on their video's. Its just about them not the quality of their content. At least you seem to be professionally in that

Crete can be very windy, I remember I went their on my (first) honeymoon and either it was hot and windy, or it was pouring down with rain. Wind & sun make for a good tan though ;-)

Bit early in the year for greece if you like it hot hot...... Btw soon i am gonna be staying in a resort called the Catalonia La Romana in the Dominican Republc where you guys went a couple years ago. I saw the video and i thought i have to book there.... i have been to the DR many times before but on the Punta Cana side and when you filmed that resort in bayahibe where there is no seaweed i had to book it. Btw you guys so need to cover St Lucia and Barbados if you get a chance. Two amazing islands that are a must visit.

I've swam in dozens of beaches throughout Greece and only encountered 1 chilly one, and that was because it was in early June.
