Did a 5 day road trip around Norway 🇳🇴 in my Mini, this back in early June. One absolute epic road trip and a memory that will stay with me for a lifetime. There’s no describing how beautiful that country is ❤
@ no I didn’t and I covered around 2,000 miles there. The only tolls I payed were for the ferry crossings which you can download and pay via the ferrypay app. Keep up the good content buddy 🤘🏼
@@GeorgeAusters I did think that also, but just in case I registered an account with EPASS24 where you input your reg, and any tolls you may travel on should automatically send an invoice to pay. But I never received a single toll invoice, which is a result 👌🏻 so it’s eased my mind that I shouldn’t have any nasty surprises after the road trip 🤞🏻
Happy to see you,re enjoing your honeymoon in Norway. I agree about Trondheim, not too much happens in this town, but I love living here. I notised you missed a couple of sights worth seing, I didn,t see that you visited the cathedral (Nidarosdomen), and if I had the chance I would have invited you to a lunch in Tyholt tower, in the restaurant on the top wich has a rotating floor, 360 ° in one hour. A spectacular 360 ° view over Trondheim from that tower. May you live happily ever after😀 Looking forward to youre next video fixing a BMW, hopefully a 2006 530 D with a M57N2 motor😁
@@Royelnoruego Thanks for comment - I didn’t realise I had so many viewers from Norway 😁 We did actually walk round the outside of the Cathedral, just didn’t film it - it’s huge!
Congratulations to you both. Shame about the weather but. It's that time of the year and you both appeared to have enjoyed it. The backing music on the time lapse, Was interesting to hear. Cheers and see you in another one. 👍👍
Glad to hear you enjoyed Norway! I'd love to hear how you came to choose Norway as the destination for your honeymoon! Completely agree with you about Oslo - if you ever go to Norway, don't waste your time in Oslo. Go and enjoy the fjords, mountains and valleys instead! Geilo ("yay-low") is indeed a ski resort. Most of the year, it's pretty dead, but in the winter, you'd pay a hefty premium to book any sort of hotel there. It's packed with skiers. Also, your hotel (Dr. Holms) is known as a good old classic, but definitely not modern. Bergen is known as the rainy city, which is a shame, because if you're lucky enough to be there on a sunny day, it's a really, really beautiful city, and the view is absolutely stunning from mount Fløyen or mount Ulriken. I hope you got to se Nidarosdomen when you were in Trondheim. It's a beautiful cathedral! And yes, it was indeed a WWII defense site you were visiting just north of Trondheim there, with bunkers turned into saunas. :) For anyone else visiting, I always recommend either going mid-summer or mid-winter. Norway is absolutely beautiful in both sun and snow (but slightly less beautiful in rain and fog). The best places to go, are the fjords on the west coast (between Bergen and Trondheim), where you already went, and in the north. I'd like to add the Geiranger fjord and the Atlantic Ocean Road as places to see on the west coast. I also always recommend the north of Norway, specifically Lofoten! Tromsø is also nice if you're up there and have a couple of days to spare. In the summer, you have the midnight sun (full daylight 24/7), and in the winter, you're pretty much guaranteed some stunning northern lights. The only downside to going mid-summer, is that it's naturally more tourists, e.g. more crowded and more expensive. Great vlog George, thanks for sharing these special moments of your honeymoon with us!
I'm norwegian so it was unexpected but cool to see you visiting Norway 🇧🇻 I haven't watched the whole video yet, but I see it didn't take you long to notice the high prices. Considering the NOK being low right now, it could have been even worse for you and your GBP 💸 I think you would be shocked if you checked the prices on old BMW's 😅
I think you chose the wrong season to travel in Norway. After the hottest and sunniest summer ever (at least up here in the northern part of Norway around Lofoten with the midnight sun and everything), the autumn was horrible 😄 But now it's snowing in most of Norway. Better than rain in many ways. First snow came here in the start of November.
I’ve done it in so many countries now that I’m kind of used to it.. Takes a day or so of almost pulling out onto the wrong side of the road before remembering lol

@@at-minimod6418 Guessing that is because you have a UK car and they have no way of contacting you?

Definitely the land of waterfalls! It’s a nice vacation outside of the low speed limits and the costs.
Congratulations to you.
Cool you chose Norway. You drove just a couple of kilometers past my house... I could have got my BMW fixed😂
Haha love that!
The tunnels to enter tromso were crazy to drive in for me 😅
