The yellow guy’s dad is so terrible it’s funny. They did one of those mock interviews with the characters and Roy (the dad) had a whole thing talking about how he put stuff in the episodes that yellow guy was terrified of because his eyes have grown arrogant or something
To quote Roy “My silly boy has allowed his eyes to grow arrogant and rude. For that, I will take him on a trip to punish land.”

I love this show as someone who aspires to work with children, because this is a criticism of children's programming and messaging.
Episode 1 is about how children are encouraged to be creative but are also limited by adults for what is considered "good creativity".
Episode 2 is about the importance we place on time without properly explaining it to children who have trouble understanding it.
Episode 3 is about religious ideas and restricting what is considered love. Hence all the stuff about rings, special ones, etc.
Episode 4 is about the internet being useful but also dangerous for children. It's also about how the internet collects your information and uses it.
Episode 5 is about healthy eating, and how inconsistent we are about what you should and should not eat.
Episode 5 is also about misinformation.
They lowkey got some bars in here though 😂. 'Its out of my HANDS, I'm only a CLOCK'
that line is a bar because they actually rhyme Yellow Guy's 'MAKE IT STOP' with 'Clock'
Fun facts: This got turned into a TV show that aired on actual British television with full 30 minute episodes a couple of years ago.
In addition to their guest work on Gumball, the creators of DHMIS also made those bizarre creepy commercials for Trolli candy company.
Asdfmovie (check it out if you haven't already, it's hilarious) creator Thomas "Tomska" Ridgewell helped finance and write parts 3-6, and I believe also contributed some voice work.
While Yellow Guy and Duck Guy are puppets, Red Guy is co-creator Joseph Pelling in a full body suit.

What's up with everyone calling the tv show "season 2?" Its not season 2, it's the 1st season of a tv show Adaptation of the UA-cam series. Yes it's made with the original creators, but it's still an Adaptation not a 2nd season.
Your reactions was pretty much mines when I first watched this lol but now you definitely got to check out season 2 and that goes more into lore too

I don't know if a lot of people noticed but they all change into their favorite color in the last episode that you watched do you get to watch and see what their favorite color is at the beginning and then at the end you know the change into that color and also I believe that Father's day is June 19th the year that this was made so that's why it's important
It was also Father's Day in 1955, which is the year on the picture in episode 2.

if you want to see some interesting theories about the lore before (hopefully) doing the other episodes that aren't on youtube, I'd recommend, against my better judgement, the first two videos that MatPat did on Film Theory for the series... they're the only good thing he's done
