Episode 1: How does the Netherlands cycle?
In the first episode of Always On The Road we do everything by bike. We visit the largest bicycle parking facility in the world in Utrecht, cycle along with a "fast bike route broker" and also look at the problems that the increasingly busy cycle paths entail.
In this 6-part series we zoom in on topics within the themes of mobility, vacation and out in the Netherlands. Presenter Yora Rienstra examines these three topics with a surprising perspective. What is "flying shame" or "staycation"? Why is the congestion problem so difficult to solve? And will it be the electric car or hydrogen?

Ach gewoon sociaal voortbewegen wel zo veilig.
De grootste ergernis van de automobilist is de asociale fietser, die zich asociaal gedraagt omdat hen de hand boven het hoofd gehouden word door de wet en ze nooit geen blaam treft.
Dus door rood rijden, geen hand uitsteken, geen deugdelijke verlichting voeren (incl. reflectoren), over rotondes spookrijden om een stukje af te korten, spookrijden wanneer ze links af ergens een straat in moeten en geen behoefte hebben te stoppen voor opkomend verkeer, op een rotonde telefoneren en geen contact leggen met overig verkeer. Oh ja, en de functie van de haaientanden op de weg is men ook bijster geloof ik.
Zal ik nog door gaan over die pleuris fietsers?
