@@joshauth9975 The main difference is just quality of life improvements. The hinge makes the lid easier to open and the daisy wheel is better. But the cook is the exact same. For the money you save it's a way better deal. The oj Joe does just as good a job.
Agreed. Perfectly happy with my classic I and I would take one for free any day. I’d also spend $700 on it again especially when debating between it and Big Green Egg that never evolves.
This one is old, but I almost lost my drink when he said he couldn’t give a classic I away!! I suppose he only sells them and doesn’t actually grill with them, I have the classic I with no issues whatsoever.
Hows the American meat costs going wow I took a look over the scheduled meat prices are right through the roof, you will all have to do something as your administration is really bringing hardship to the BBQ industry meat supply, much love from Australia and New Zealand meat producers and Chefs association.
Stands are also different; and the wheels are different; shape is different; and the III includes accessories that the II doesn’t have but I think you can “upgrade” to have.
Can I upgrade my Classic II to match the III? I believe that the answer is yes, but what parts would I need to purchase? I see it as the charcoal basket, SloRoller, and the updated divide and conquer rack system...
Yes and no, if you can find it in stock you can get the SloRoller insert: Kamado Joe SloRoller Hyperbolic Insert For Classic 18-Inch Grills - KJ-HYPER. What I have read is that it doesn't perform as well as the III.
It took you 23 seconds to prove you don’t know what you’re talking about. The dome, kontrol tower, temperature gauge, airlift hinge and the fire box are the same. Other than those components, nearly everything else is different, including the base (which is very obviously different, especially when you have them side by side as you do in this video). Since you don’t know what you’re talking about, I saw no reason to continue watching.
Yeah, I have 3 Weber’s and love them and thought pretty much the same. Even bought accessories to convert Weber into a “poor man’s” smoker, but too much fiddling with during long cooks. It was only after I bought a Joe Classic II and began using it, especially for long smokes, that I realized how wrong I had been. Now, I use both, but great as they are, Weber is not a substitute for my Joe.
The stand on the 3 has been totally redesigned with an accessory rack in the center.
thanks to ed and the guys at fireside, finally got a hold of my classic III. will be back for some toys. Thanks so much
wow so glad I heard this about the Classic I
Same. I was about to buy that piece of shit from Lowe’s. I’ll get the 2 now.
Thank you for the descriptions. Have a safe and nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.
The classic one works perfectly fine. Id actually recommend getting one at the discounted price for any new Kamado customer
Yeah, when he said he couldn't give a classic one away I just laughed. I actually prefer my classic one at the 749 price I paid.
I have been looking at the 1 and was wondering y it was so cheap what’s the biggest difference I will see if I get the one?

Thanks. Very helpful video.

Really appreciate this video
Good guide, thanx
Nice video!
Very good explanation. Thanks.
What about the stands I can see in the video are definitely different
Wow this video cleared so much up for me, big thanks!
I have the classic I, love it.
I disagree, I would take a classic one for free, builds arm muscle while grilling

Can I buy the Hinge system sperately I have a classic Joe 1
Much appreciated
You lost me when you said the base is identical between the classic 2 and 3 ... the new model is taller to accommodate the SloRoller
@@1Williams There is room for 3 racks instead of 2, there is a lot more room in that thing. Trust me I´m a dealer
I heard the slo roller can be put in the classic 2 as well?
Just the extra height of the 3 allows for the new divide and conquer, is this correct?
It looks like the kj2 bottom bowl is shorter than the kj3. So not sure if you could buy the kj3 accessories in the 2.
Will the slow roller work in the classic 2?
There is nothing like a Weber, most people that buy this end up selling it! A lot of people are selling them for peanuts on Craigslist!
Thanks! Are the ceramic internals the same? Can a II be upgraded with the ash basket and slow roller?
Yes, the slo roller and ash basket can be added to the II.
I think the 3 is taller so more internal room
Thanks. Awesome video.
When will this be available to the public!!!!!!
Give me a classic 1...I won't say no.
Can the larger one come without the stand and side pieces to go into a built in outdoor kitchen?
So you are basically paying $500 more for a slow roller, a dividing basket and some aluminium shelves
Nice stand though? LOL
MK2 the way to go
What about weight difference? I want to use it on our top deck.
Can't give a classic 1 away.. shoot I'd take one plz.
It's been four years since the new cart was designed.
For $500 more you get the sloroller
Terrible Audio.
Can you buy the slow roller separately?
yes when it is in stock
like
My lid crack don't know what to so

So absolutely nothing new but for some accessories right?!
The classic 2 looks wider than the 3. Do they both have the same size grates?
Dan Looks like they def have different shapes .
@@johncochrane2515 They aren't identical externally. The 3 is a little taller and a little narrower on the bottom.
Can barley hear the audio...
change headphones my friend. Audio is perfect.
Luca Berta far away from perfect
Fix the audio
Hey guys. Can i have yours adress please?

They are just insulated charcoal grills, no big deal, they are the overpriced Yeti of charcoal grills, just get a Weber
i thought the same till i got to use one for a summer. its a whole new world of cooking.
