Oh damn, didn't realize he actually teared up in the Blades of Chaos scene, maybe I was just too hype to notice if Kratos did tear up in the game too, but now I know why the emotion was so raw during that moment. That's awesome.

Christopher Judge is an incredible actor. He started out as a pro football player and ended up on one of the longest running Sci Fi shows in history: Stargate SG-1 as Teal'c. I think he's underrated as an actor but here we get to those magic moments that he brings to the screen.

When Christopher broke saying I know after being called a monster, wish they’d used that take in the game, would have been a real moment to hear kratos emotional like that!

@@thorny8013 I agree but would have shown how his life has changed and allowed him to soften and forgive himself for his past. Would be an interesting new way to take the character, growth and change.
@@thorny8013 It's not about what the character was, but what it can be. This game progressed the character of Kratos far more than the previous games did. And it would add so much more depth to a character that has yet to show an emotional side. Kratos never really stopped being human, even when becoming a god. Maintaining that bit of humanity is really important, if you ask me.
@@HumanDevilTV Ecxactly, I see strong connection between Kratos' and Wolverine's life path, in this chapter Kratos is more like Old man Logan than his previous self, reminiscing and redemtion and since he got a kid to take care of he ought to change. Keeping in mind that he annihilated the whole Greek Pantheon and in conversation with Mimir they concluded Kratos can't use his god powers anymore cause his old earth was destroyed with magic in it, he lets his past flow away.
this is not just a game anymore. this is a a freaking piece of art.
But, some people can't see it.
Joel, Kratos(this one) and Jin Sakai are the best video game performances ever.

I am far more impressed by this than anything Hollywood craps out. The imagination you need to have to give a believable performance in something like this has to be staggering.
I have no fear in admitting God of war, and playing the games have become a obsession of mine..and each time I play the nostalgia hits like a truck, meeting mimir again for the first time, defeating baldur, meeting Freya for the first time, Sindri and Brok, man oh man it's just so calming
On my first play through and I just fought modi and Magni and this is one of the best games I’ve ever played

Obviously judge nails this because Kratos acknowledged all the terrible things he’s done but he knows at least now he’s fighting for the right reasons but it still doesn’t excuse what he’s done before.
That “I know” was heavy and should’ve been kept in
I didn’t notice the audition line in the game shame I’m sure that would have made a really dramatic scene but still no complaints whatsoever just hope ragnorok lives up to expectations as this game is a masterpiece

It's not fact but i reckon he was distant or had evident bonding 8ssues with his kids early on. Stresses of a long hours work and new kids. The way he said I know know told he'll always be a monster. That's a father regretting his stress levels when his kids where young. As a father I head it and know it all to well myself
His kids love God of War. They always played the game with him.

He reminds me of Tim Duncan from the San Antonio Spurs (NBA). When Tim speaks, his voice is quiet and calm, but he has the same body physique as Christopher Judge and you wouldn’t expect him to sound like that at all. I was so shocked as well to actually match the name and body to the voice! 😮😮😮
I swear these two have such a wonderful connection, it’s almost like they’ve known each other their entire lives.
And in Ragnarök even more, thank all the gods for casting Chris as Kratos and Sunny as Atreus, otherwise we could have been looking at an entirely different dynamic
The revenants are great
Seen these several times. But I honestly have to give such insane credit to the boi, I usually vehemently resent child-actors but it struck me in GoW5 that I never once felt angered at the actor. I mean sure he might've slipped once or twice but they all do that, but during these 100+ hours of games I never once groaned at "ugh childactors..."

They really made this game beloved for its characters, outstanding writing, and top notch acting. GoW 2018 is better than anything we've had come out in 2022....except GoW Ragnarok.

Dauoi Hamarr, It was genuenly the only hard troll there was in God of War
For me it was the valkyrie queen but then I got used to killing her now it is easy

The fire Valkyrie and the queen were the most fun for me
