The Gambia Smart Pod Deployment Process

The Smart Pod is a rapidly deployable, ISO standard-based shipping container that expands into ~400 square feet of usable clinical space. These Smart Pods can fully unfold in mere minutes with a handful of people.
For Gambia, two Smart Pods were outfitted into a mobile operating room and a patient recovery unit. A separate vestibule unit seamlessly slides between the two Smart Pods, serving as a hallway and pre-operative preparation space.
