- There’s never a dull moment for our doctors. Their days are constantly busy and varied - you never know what’s around the corner next!
Ever wondered what a cardiologist's day is like? Check out this video as Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Yee Kok Meng takes you through a day in his life at PHKL.
#pantaihospitalkualalumpur #phkl #dayinthelife #cardiologist #consultantcardiologist
I just realized he was wearing a mask the whole time so I didn’t see his face until the end and saw he had facial hair. It felt like he grew all his facial hair during his shift and aged significantly in just one shift 🤣
Me st surgeons do lol
catfished you mean :,)
Samee
You just need to go specsavers mate and have an eye test
same lol
I can feel the noble spirit that money can't buy. I realize once again that it's a job that not everyone can do. I respect you. I hope you are healthy and save many patients.
What a pleasure working with this guy . Soft spoken , well mannered Cardiologist . I will gladly put my life in his hands if ever i have an ACS Thumbs up Dr Yee .
One of the reason why I don’t leave medical field even though I’m not working base on my profession is to loved helping sick people. ❤️
Hey cantik
Video video macam ni lah bagus. Keep going making the videos like this one. To make everyone know that Malaysia has a good healthcare system.
Respect to you Doctor, Thank you for what you do.
This guy is a blessing for so many people 🎉
Inspiring video! For all medicos
Wow ! Take my hat off to you !
Cardiologists are truly amazing wow
Watching this video makes me confident if I were ever near this hospital and had to have some sort of medical treatment that I would trust them. You hear stories that make you have trust issues especially when you are in a foreign country and have a medical issue. However, this video helps when you see a doctor like him.
Good to see the patient has no coronary blockage.
Means she is safe from heart attack.
Excellent.. thank you for your services doctor
so inspiration ,amazing 😍👍
I'm so happy to watch this video. Thank you so much doctor for sharing ur lyf wid us. Love from India
What an amazing person Bless you xx
You know, my dad is a cardiologist too. I would really like to know how his work day plays out every day.
Then ask him? 😂 he’s ur dad!
Yeah ask him about small dense LDL high TG and low HDL particle concentrations due to high carbohydrate diets.
If he lives in Texas ask if I can shadow him lol 😂
Must be really hard being a hero
@@montyzarr1866 lol😂😂
Much respect to you doctor
I'm from Tanzania my ambition to be Cardiologist... Thank you for sharing this video
Respect For You sir ,, Lots of Love From India 💞

Thank you doctor
This video is really inspiring, thankss!
God bless you Dr,

Love the video!
This is real interesting good vlog!
That hospital is beautiful wow
OK...when maskless, I wasnt expecting the goatee! Keep up the good work doctor!
For those who are concerned with sterility part, that is not surgery hence total protocol of sterilisation is not required as it is an intervention only
Bullshit. If it's sterile, it's sterile. End of story. An intervention, even just putting in a central line, requires the same hygiene as a full fledged operation.
@@whynotjustmyusername if you don't know about medical field , then just keep your mouth shut, what about sterility during severe burn or severe hypotension requiring central line, that time priority is always intervention above sterility
@@KIRA-wl6oc In severe burns, hygiene is especially important. There is a good reason there are only so few burn centers: Their ICU rooms are cleaner than operating rooms.
Do we have an emergent intervention in this video? No.
If hypotension is so severe, then go for a peripheral line or intraosseous access (as recommended in all relevant life support guidelines). If a central line is the only thing you can establish, then a central line placed under imperfect sterile conditions must be removed at the earliest opportunity.
Finally: Your original argument wasn't that in emergency interventions sterility was secondary. Your argument was that in ALL interventions sterility is secondary, which is bullshit.
To put it in your words:
If you don't know about emergency and intensive care medicine, keep your fingers off your keyboard.
@@whynotjustmyusername do some emergency intervention hands on , then argue with words
@@KIRA-wl6oc Step 1: Already done. Step 2: "total protocol of sterilisation is not required as it is an intervention only" - Wrong - interventions require the same degree of sterility (as said in my initial comment). Done.
I haven't even mentioned that nobody is sterilising anything in that room. Sterilisation is the process of rendering the equipment germ-free, e.g. through autoclaving, irradiating etc. All you do in the OR or lab is disinfecting the skin of your operating site and not contaminating your sterile equipment. Sterilisation will certainly not happen anywhere close to the patient.
Urgency vs. sterility has nothing to do with surgery or intervention. You can just as well slash open a trauma patient with a ruptured Truncus coeliacus. It undoubtedly is a full blown surgery, yet sterility would be secondary in that case as well. If I do a clamshell thoracotomy in a traumatic cardiac arrest, I will straight up throw sterility out of the window, despite it being surgery, not an intervention.
Your argument is bullshit, you can stop trying to wind yourself out of it by throwing different (and admittedly less wrong) arguments after it.
Hi sir mee too cathlab nurse happy to c you 👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️
these ppl are amazing.
You have a beautiful room seriously
He is great doctor, hope all same as him...plus good looking too
He was the only one not using a cap in op room, and not a sterile gown since he touched with his hands.
Why 😦
You motivate me so mush
I hope 🍀 to be a surgeon
Can come out a drama series on Malaysia's Medical Doctor? Like On-Call 36 hours? or The Good Doctor?

A normal medico from 3rd proff
Everyone including the patient was wearing a cap in the ot except the doctor 😅
And sterility is « destroyed » at 2:07….
2:07 omg the swaggg how he wore it halfway... 😂
When I think about time, it's crazy. As a 16 year old, they've basically worked together since I was born. Time seems slow yet fast..
a real hero
Long lives life
🎄♥️💕💕🌸🌸A perfect example of professionalism! Who studies and is completely focus on the carrier vs.lowlife people who give nothing but bad vibes! And who stay in the same abuse and same vocabulary. I love medical terminology!!!! ♥️🎄🎄💕🦋🦋we all need help to improve
Thank you

Not gonna ever happen

what kind of research experience is essential for being any doctor. As I heard from somewhere that research experience is really important. Like I want to be a cardiologist so what kind of research should I do to be a good doctor.
Dear colleague,
Why not do a CT angiogram instead of a potentially harmful invasive procedure?
Or a cardio scint w adenosine?
Loads of uninvasive options. Or those are unavailable options in KL?
I'm sure your much busier then what this shiws..it's very interesting what all u do during a cardiac cath. That saved my husband's life multiple times
Hey cantik
Does this backroundmusic also play and follow you around when you are a cardiologist?
Gurl whut?
I hope so😂
Hi I loved the video thanks
What subjects did you dk to become a cardiologist and how long did it take?
Forget about working as a doctor in Malaysia now. Droves of contract doctors are quitting because epf low pay and no job securities. And they r left with the risk of being jobless if unable to find jobs in private hospitals.
Subject-biology
11.5 years after 12 😊
And I am not joking.
mbbs- 5.5years, general medicine -3 years, n then u can start cardiology..
@@user-qq9cr6hy9l wrong... Subjects- physics, chemistry, biology... Then mbbs(medical science subjects). Then md(medicine subject)/ms.. Then mch/dm(adv cardiology etc subjects)...
Medical faculty 6 years, Internal medicine 4 years, than Interventional cardiology 1 year. I would say minimum is 11 years, but not many people can be that good. So probably 12-13 years.
i also like to be come a cardiologist
Any idea about shaungdong capsules
2:07 ooops
I live in a locked building if you knock on the door they may not answer and I live all the way on the top floor I walk up to the park the other Park everyday and try to do it around the same time between 9:00 and 11:00

Where are you from...???
The thumbnail looks like he's hitting the griddy
I always dream of becoming a Licensed Doctor as well of my family. But then right now im on the other side of my plan. But maybe God has a deeper mission for me towards my dream.
I'm in medical school. Just understand that it's a huge commitment especially if you're in the US. Medicine takes up a lot of your free time during your youth and it's a lifelong learning process. It takes more commitment than 99% of jobs, which is why it's regarded so highly. It's not for everyone and there's no shame in it. I myself wish I could go back in time and choose another path. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do my friend.
That’s why,doctors get better paid.
stetoscope in the hand at every time
