The view is incredible! I would not use curtains on most of the windows. They really aren’t needed in anything but bedrooms and baths. I love the terraces! The rooftop one is exquisite.

I've noticed from what I've seen of them that Italian houses are laid out kinda weirdly. But most like this are older, so not in the more open style of present day.

It has potential. Lots to remodeling to do and yes agree that ground floor wall 🧱 needs to come down and expose the stone. But I lived next to church ⛪️, never again tons tons of cars and people and loud church bells 🔔 every hour. Maybe people like that ?? Just not living next to church ever again

Not bad for the price but all prices are low and lower in Palombaro and surroundings. OMG barbecue in the kitchen LOL so f.. cold in the winter and all young people moved out as only old poor people as neighbors and don’t like foreigners, no public transport nor International Airports, corruption and Vatican close, just for holidays how do you get here?

The outside is a stunning home, plus being next to a church...The inside needs gutting and painted all white walls, I don't think I will be able to get those bright colours out of my head for the next few hours... wow :(
This is a great property. I would open up the entire first floor and move the kitchen to where the bathroom is and take in the bedroom to great a big new modern kitchen. Upstairs I would make two en-suite bed/bathrooms and a laundry room. Add central a/c and heating.

Not all the walls on main floor are removable (at least not without doing major reinforcing work). Have a look from outside where the terraces are and the set back walls would be loadbearing down to ground.
The property is on perimiter of town of Palombaro, close to larger towns of Casoli and Fara San Martino that he mentions (which is where DeCecco and DelVerde pasta factories are)
To funny, my bedroom was that same color green when I was a teenager… 😜
great vid thank you - But each time I see one of these tour videos, I am upset by some of the illogical design decisions, made by Italians, and which are contrary to the 'exalted' idea of Italian design. the way that there is minimal access to that large terrace, and there is no "roof garden" and the placement of plumbing fixtures and weird floor height changes, etc., I just don't understand them............

Yes it is, we had sold subject to contract but unfortunately the people buying had a change in circumstances so 8t is back on the market. I am going next week to take photos of the lower apartment.

because this classical bourgeois house has had its interiors massacred by working class flat aesthetics, it would be much too costly to revert it to its original interiors to make it worth my while.
But then again, seen the very low price, it could be turned in a bunch of apartments, sticking to the same trashy style, and be milked for the money, but that's not my cup of tea.
Good luck finding people who want to rent there. You’ll find a couple, possibly, but they won’t be earning young individuals. You won’t be “milking” anything.

This is a huge misconception of bells and proximity.
I’ve heard the same complaint many times, and it makes zero sense.
Here is what to take into consideration when it comes to bells:
A) frequency of bells ringing: it’s far more preferable to live next to bells ringing a few times daily for a short while, than live farther off to incessant and lengthy bell ringing.
B) tonality. Not all bells sound the same.
C) size of bells. Again, bigger is louder.
D) the way they are played: I lived next to melodic bells, and I’ve lived close to, but farther away, bells with unpleasant tone played with no melody. Which one do you think I preferred?
Proximity of bells is not enough to discount a property.
Church bells would be a selling point for me.

@@AhomeinItaly The interior style of a house depends on the owner. It is not a question of age or gender. This house shows that there has been no complete renovation for a very long time, only local repairs. But if the owner is old, it's understandable.

He didn’t intend to insult anyone: it was a statement of observation, and mostly quite objective since most agree with his assessment. When something is being sold, then it will be appraised. That’s life. A film director may not be “delighted and grateful” for bad reviews, but once he puts it out there he must accept and expect to be assessed. You can’t go putting things on the market, demand a price for them and then expect no critical appraisal.

My dogs are not barkers, only when there is a perceived threat. My neighbors dogs just bark when they see me! Now that can be irritating. You just have to make friends with them so they perceive you as such.
