I just changed mine by watching your video. I have a 97 s10. My harness was on the left side. I wouldn’t have had enough faith to do it without your video. Thanks a lot.I also didn’t have to take off much.

I have to fix mine as well, however tearing out half the dash does not appeal to me. What all did you remove to make life easier?

This video shows combo switch wiring harness removal under steering column! Only video Ive found that does. Crucial demonstration if you havent seen how to disassemble, especially for a 2001 Chevy express van with very tight space uder the dash. Thank you!!

Very informative video, but would’ve been even more helpful if you proved to sizes of the drivers and wrench sockets.

What brought me here? Failed rear turn signals, brake lights and rear flashers. Just Answer says it's the faulty combo switch. 98 S-10, I will give this a try, thanks for showing how!

good video, well that saved a bunch of bs. i thought i would have to pull the airbag and steering wheel. i am used to working on older stuff that is why basic compared to this newer stuff. i say newer still 20 years old now. i started working on stuff from 60s to early 80s. as newer stuff got cheap well here i am. it is almost a comedy seeing how new age stuff is made.

I have 2000 gmc jimmy sle 4x4. The green connector on top of the steering column in this video (6:19) is just hanging loose on Jimmy; I cannot find the receiving end on top of the steering column. Any suggestions on what to do with the dangling green connector? Thanks.

So let me get this straight. 1999 blazer. brake lights don't work except top one does. Turn signals do work. But the problem is the turn signal switch and not the brake switch? Whose bright idea was this?

Any tips for radio only having static? Am and fm. I’ve taken dash apart pulled the wires out put them back in pulled the antenna cable out. I believe it’s the cable from what I’ve read. I just don’t know how to replace it with it barley being able to take the whole dash apart

How necessary is it to remove the dashboard bezel? I think I should be able to snake the two covers out easier because mine is console shifted instead of column, so I won't need to screw around with trying to line up the shift lever boot, since mine doesn't have one. The whole bottom panel comes out without removing the bezel, so the only reason I can see is IF there are any screws obstructed by the bezel, but I don't remember anything like that.
I'm going to be doing this on my 2003 ZR-2 Blazer in the not too distant future. I had to call a locksmith to remove my lock cylinder after I got the whole thing torn down. The only reason I needed him was because mine wouldn't turn, so I was at a brick wall. Anyway, I got to the part about installing the upper part of the clamshell, and either I must have been too rough with it, or the 4-way switch was super brittle, because I ended up breaking it off and I was unable to turn the 4-ways off. I tried pushing down on the button, but I was unable to get it to stay locked into place with the top ¾ of the button missing. I must have been too rough with it too, because I ended up losing all turn signals and brake lights. The only way to turn off the 4-ways was to remove the fuse, which caused ALL of the rest of what was working to stop. Right now I'm down to headlights, tail lights and the high mount center stoplight working outside; no turn signals front or rear, no lower brake lights and no 4-ways. Yeah, to say the least, it was an interesting 10 mile journey home through mostly heavy traffic with 100% of my indicators nonfunctional.

Hi, great video. Both my low and high beams stay on with the high/low beam arrow on when the lights are on. Have a 2003 Chevy Blazer 4 x 4 LS. I replaced the relay, light switch , and now multiplication switch. Both lights still remain on and not able to switch high to low beam. Suggestions? Thanks.
