Awesome to see this. Old School and Ringmasters were there doing BABS and I was in the hospital all day. Rasmus filled in for me singing tenor and that was amazing. Can't thank him enough. And the went on to become AMAZING champions!!!

Are you really THE Kipp Buckner? If so, may I take this opportunity to tell you how much of a fan I am? I'm also singing in a Quartet, but Germany doesn't exactly have a vivid barbershop scene, unfortunately.
What advice could you give to barbershop beginners?

@ Thank you for such kind words and yes I am Kipp! Advice? I am happy to if you have a specific thing in mind? Like advice on songs? Singing tenor? What exactly are you looking for my friend?

@@kippb Thanks for the reply! Well, since our lead and bass (me) have pretty special voices, I'm mostly interested in working on a specific quartet sound. Sometimes I try too hard to emulate my role models, which is not a good idea. How should a quartet practice to develop a distinct sound that fits them best?

@natalieo78 He was sight reading from scratch...he is an amazing talent. I was in the hospital all day and he filled in for me for the church service. This was the BABS convention in Wales.

Since I am the baritone in this I will concur I wasn't that good. Early morning, exhausted and struggled to phonate much at all. As we like to say , it could've been worse!

OSBaritone don’t be too hard on yourself! Out of interest, how much preparation time did Rasmus have?

hahaha stand in tenor. I love Rasmus, wonder if he knew the part at all or if he was completely sight reading from scratch?

But really it comes down to. "Am I entertained?" Hell, yeah. This is live, and live is rarely perfect. No excuses necessary. Nice pipes dudes.

Oh my god is that Emanuel behind the quartet on the right?
I had a similar hairstyle in high school and I am still ashamed by it today. Glad he also had a moment of realisation. :D

Yeah, I thought so, then I realized the Ringmasters are sat at the back, so we can assume it is indeed Rasmus!

@mkippbuckner Who arranged this Kipp? And could you get it for me, or tell me where to find it? I'd love a copy.

Sorry, allow me to clarify. The Tenor, Lead, and Bass are all singing with a nice comfortable resonance or ping. The Bari is woofy like mad and he's not matching the others. He can't really tune with the others if he doesn't resonate like them...When I commented, I meant the Bari - not the other three. The bass had two or three due to placement, but he fixed them. The Bari at the very end is wayyyyy flat! 5 cents or so.
