I got these large bundles lumber scraps about 3 years ago. I determined early on that they would be hard to process. I finally built a jig that allows me to cut these scraps into usable kindling with the chainsaw. Check it out.

Have you figured out how to cut kindling in bulk like this? What have you done? Please let me know.
In version 2 of your rack, instead of using straps, fix a post/piece of lumber on the top in such a way that it can rotate over the kindling and fix it on the other side of the rack with a lever mechanism in such a way that you compress the kindling into the rack/jig. I also think the V-shaped rack with the wider top and more capacity would increase efficiency.
That's a great idea! When I was editing this video, I also thought of something similar. V-shape is for sure a go to. And the ratchet straps are a short coming. Some sort of mechanical brace to compress it down.

Looks good. Why not bundle (wrap with twine) before removing from rack?
Mainly because I use a firewood bagger to bag and sell the kindling. For myself, I just pull it off the pile when I need it. I did use twine when I started bundles, but it was hard on my hands and not efficient, in my opinion. I could never figure out a fast way to tie the bundles and keep them tight.
