@@AronJanetSailing I was just stopping by to see about getting some work done on my boat. I live in Deltaville on the water and keep my sailboat at the house.
I too just took possession of a Jeanneau 440. It is a 2019 (hull #27) and I stepped up from a Catalina 350 so a similar step up in size. I look forward to following your adventures and hope our paths cross in the future. Good luck.
That is so awesome! Ours is hull #354. Where do you sail? Do you have UA-cam or Instagram? We are also on Instagram and try to post updates there on what’s coming up. Thank you for subscribing and following. We enjoy connecting and it’s cool that you also have a 440!
I sail out of St Pete, FL. I have very little footprint on social media but I do enjoy following others. I grew up sailing the Chesapeake Bay (Annapolis Area) and love your videos.
@@aronandjanet7422Let me know when you are coming in to Annapolis. I keep my boat about 4 blocks from Coverloft. Also, Coverloft is next to a great restaurant and 2 buildings down from a great brewery.
I know you had to cut the video up, did they put any anti-fouling on the prop? But Boy oh Boy she looks great. Congratulations and enjoy your time on her.
Thanks! They did apply barnacle buster (I think that’s what they called it) and had to sand the shaft where they placed the anodes to ensure a good metal-to-metal contact.
Congrats on the new boat and 1000 subs. I’m guessing that the “assembly” process is worked in with the price of the boat, or is this an additional service you directly pay this yard to do? Thanks for videoing this process and for understanding workers and management not getting too fussy with y’all filming it.
Thanks so much! There is the boat price from the factory and the “commissioning” price which includes the assembly and more. Working with Norton Yachts has been great. They are both the broker and yard owner, gave us an “all-in” price up front, and had the ability to prioritize their yard work as needed
Any recommendations on a person that's wanting to buy his first boat with a family to do some salling and to live on it with not having any experience or knowledge of boats..
We started with the ASA sailing lessons at Norton Yachts and just dove in head first from there. Make sure it is something everyone is 100% on board with - Janet and I are are two partners in crime with this.

I love how wide the bottom of that boat is. It is one of my favorite things about them. Congrats.
Thank you, we feel that the wider design gives the boat much more stability!

CAUTION!! New Boat. Some Assembly Required.
For real! lol 😆
Is the clearance of the mast with instrumentation ICW compliant? i.e. 65 ft
Thank you for your comment. Yes it is. The mast is 55 feet and with the boat and antennas, it should clear all fixed bridges on the ICW.
