I love that in this universe, one guy decides to use soap and then everyone’s life changes, so this is like, normal. It’s just everything changes and they’re like “welp, guess this is life now”

So... this is a planet of clones, right? so they'd mostly have all the same mindset/personality.
Except the one who comes up with new ideas. So maybe there's a glitch or a mutation or something that allows one clone to overpower the others (socially), and the others just give in because that's the sort of personality they have.

Apparently cats actually domesticated themselves. They figured hanging out with the humans would give them shelter and a supply of rodents from the farm. The humans figured, "This fluffy cute animal kills all of the rodents. Let's keep it." So they did.
Isn't rat-catching what terriers and Weiner dogs are for? Cats trying to put dogs out of work since the beginning.
Nah, dogs domesticated themselves by figuring out humans were great co-hunters. Cats figured out they would take advantage of human settlements, humans figured out cats are the ultimate pest control so let them. So really it has been a partnership until we decided to make them slav-.... Pets, I mean pets.
Cats are only semi- domesticated. Also w have learned that they do understand their name. They don't respond because they don't feel like it.

Actually it was cats that originally domesticated early humans and kept them as pets. The dolphins then taught them how to swim and catch fish.
And then the dragons who ruled the planet at the time taught humans how to harness fire before returning to their home planet.
After the dragons left the humans convinced themselves that they were in charge, but the truth is they are still the pets of the current rulers, cats.
For someone who hasn't owned a cat yet and at the same time is the first person ever to own one, he is surprisingly knowledgeable about its habits.

No, we are, in fact, cat likes to eat animals too. So there, something we have in common.
Cats are obligatory carnivores, they have claws and teeth like a factory press and short digestive tract, they have to eat animals. We have a digestive system of a plant-eating monkey (surprise-surprise), and are not good with animal products (digestive tract issues, heart and brain disease ect). We are technically omnivores, but not even so much. So I wouldn't say we have it in common

My cat will stalk her litter box. If she sees me going in or out of the bathroom, she'll wander off and pretend she doesn't need to go... Sometimes I can see her box from the kitchen. She'll glance over as she's going in and if she sees me looking, she'll leave and sit in the hall for about 5 minutes!

Cat's don't think we can't hunt. Cats have ZERO concept of purchased food, and we present them with food on a regular basis, the only conclusion is that they think we catch it. But we give them "our catch" all the time...They're just returning the favor.

Yeah the bird thing is really a massive problem. They are wiping out native bird populations like it is going out of style. Outdoor cats in the United States alone kill 2.4 billion birds a year. Really has the potential to fuck the whole ecosystem over quickly. But crazy cat ladies don't care they just keep giving them food and places to breed.

What's crazy is how little cats actually changed once we started domesticating them. The difference between dogs and wolves is huge, but cats are practically the exact same as they were when they were wild Savannah cats. It's less like we domesticated them and we really just accepted a roommate that eats rodents for us

They basically domesticated themselves, ending up around humans for the small animals that raided food storage. And the traits that made them good at rodent control didn’t require to change all that much compared to the changes dogs underwent to go from cooperating more with each other to cooperating with humans

We had a cat named Cookie that was wondering the streets years ago back when she was 2 years old. We found the owner and she was so thrilled about letting us keep Cookie. Cookie had been with other foster cats, but didn't get along with them. So... after some negotiation with my parents, my brother and I were excited to have a pet cat! 😁👍🐱
Almost 20 years this year, Cookie passed away.
She was a very good cat who didn't bite or scratch. Unless she was scratching on logs outside and the piece of carpet that went a little past the Bannister. This was where Cookie would sit a few steps down from the main floor. She also got in a few cat fights, but for the most part, she was chill.

I had a beautiful Calico born in my home. I named her Cookie. I dreamt the next 15 years of my life with her the day she was born.
But she passed away at the age 6 months because of a tragedy. It's been 3 months and I'm still in mourning.

An adorable fluffy thing just snuggled against me and made content noises, oh yeah, it's staying with me forever. Lol. It is also usually caught from eating undercooked meat from infected animals (that git it from eating something contaminated with cat feces or a rodent with it) too, rather than from cat feces.

Elmo, The Lord, Our Savior That’s the magic of Ryan George. In almost every single sketch, through the magic of costume design and polar opposite characters and motivations, he is able to create a unique cast of characters with just himself. Also, petting a cat can decrease your stress and anxiety levels, which is beneficial to your heart.
When I was in high school, we lived in an apartment that did not allow pets. My father read that "Petting a nice, furry cat will lower your blood pressure," so he bought a furry pillow, that was about 12-18 inches long, and about 6-8 inches around, a furry cylinder, and told us, "This is our cat, for as long as we're living here."
We tried petting it, and it was zen, and all, but it does NOT compare to the JOY of petting a REAL LIVE CAT that is ACTUALLY ALLOWING YOU TO PET IT!
That's' the thing: They don't always allow you to pet them, even when they already have Stockholm syndrome. Some of them just don't get cuddly, ever. And the ones who do get cuddly are cuddly on THEIR terms and on THEIR schedule. So, when you have one that will actually ALLOW you to hold it and pet it, when you need cuddles? It is JOY! JOY SUBLIME!
A furry pillow is nice, if you just need to soothe with the repetitive motion, and the fur feels nice on your skin. But it does not have NEARLY the beneficial effects that a REAL cat does, if the cat will allow pets and cuddles.
My anxiety and depression have decreased significantly since adopting my kitty. Having something this cute and snuggly who loves me for just providing food and shelter is amazing.
@@arthurdurham ikr? I dont have a cat but I have "adopted" my friend's cat because we basically live in each other's houses, and I often dog-sit a dog who is the loveliest cutie ever. Pets are the best

I love cats so much. That roommate doesn't know the happiness he's getting himself into. He doubts now, but just wait until one of those little guys curls up in his lap and purrs and all his problems just melt away as this precious friend will stay by your side until the very end. :)
EnderEli agreed. whenever I go for a walk outside, my cat follows me around until she feel’s like it’s too far from home. She used to be a stray and she just wondered into our house and made herself at home. She loves human company and dislikes being alone without us for too long. When we first got her she didn’t know how to use the litter tray, we trained her, and now sometimes she comes home after being outside just specifically for using the litter tray. Which is very convenient, since our neighbours were worried about us having a cat since they wanted their garden to stay clean. She’s a tabby and the most adorable animal I’ve been able to bond the best with out of all the pet’s I’ve had. If we hadn’t taken her in we would have missed out on a lot of happiness.
@@shadow14805 Aww, what a precious cat! When I lived in Arizona, my first pet (a black cat named Toby) ran away and a stray we'd known for a while just walked in and comforted me and my sisters. She was a Calico cat we named Daisy and, unlike Toby, we let her in and out of the house, but didn't stray far. She was so nice, especially to my mom who had some bad health difficulties at the time. It was nice reading about your cat!

If your pet has bone spurs, you should be prepared to put them down. Even then it isn't easy.

I know a woman who bragged about how well trained her cats were. Whenever she "rang the kitty bell," (which means shaking the treats bottle), they would get off her bed, and come running for treats.
And then, she realized that SHE was the well-trained one, because whenever her cats wanted a treat, they would just get on her bed, and wait for her to "ring the kitty bell."
