For once I kind of want a role playing game made by 4 companies Square/Enix, Intelligent systems, Creatures inc., and game freak and create something entirely differently but there can still be little nice references to all of there respective catalogs of properties to each company, but you only dream right now; now if I had a poll on if this is a good idea I would be interested. On an final note I'm aware that if it happened it would be a very strenuous process to decide on the subject, the story, the main character and side characters, the gameplay and it's mechanics, the music, and lastly the art style. To have something like this made would be nothing short of an miracle but if it happens I'll make damm sure to buy it. So if anyone has read this all the way through, what do you think?

@@untseac Perhaps like how Disney had it's Renaissance era, maybe it can happen with JRPGs given the circumstances, right now we're at the bronze age where there aren't making as many and not as good quality but there a few outliers that chose to experiment with varying degrees of success the moment when the big companies start doing it the JRPG Renaissance can truly begin, but I guess to start getting this game to exist is to spread this message to more and more people possibly spamming it if it's necessary but don't overdo it on many popular gaming channels and let them think of this idea where it might start some traction on to this thought, and maybe request the 4 giants to perhaps start coming up with ideas.
Kevin Kess to be honest I’m not particularly good at making an original story of the blue but probably with some references, like for examples for inspiration, it could take time, but there’s one phrase that sticks in my mind “dimension hopping” I.E. going to alternate realities & universes, but also involving time.
It's a shame how underrated and underappeciated Dragon Quest is, it's a fantastic series, and I see it as good and deserving of praise as Final Fantasy.

Dragon Quest has its Overture Final Fantasy has its Prelude Kingdom Hearts has Dearly Beloved. All are such beautiful pieces of music composed by fantastic conductors. Square Enix has QUITE the ear for amazing themes for their RPG's.
I just realized if Kingdom Hearts is meant to be a crossover between Disney and Square Enix properties... then where are the God Damn Dragon Quest Characters?
I love That the design of the characters is in classic Akira Toriyama’s style. Some characters are very similar to Goku’s, Bulma’s and Yamcha’s original design.
It's been almost a year since I bought Dragon Quest XI S as my first Dragon Quest. Thank you Sakurai for making me curious enough to try this gem of a series out.
It's sad that DQ is so underrated. Some people I know didn't even knew who Hero was when he was announced. But tbf the first DQ we got in Europe was VIII and it didn't even got a real hype. In the US you got the FFXII Demo Disk but I didn't even got that

Oh, I most definitely knew who the hero was and he's one of my favorite characters despite how over the top some of his moves are. And when I first saw that reveal trailer, I said "That's it, I'm buying Dragon Quest XI S." And so I did and boy is it a great game
This song, much like dragon quest itself, is proof that you dont have to change what you are to remain amazing as time goes on, you just have to be REALLY good at being what you are.
@@harrylane4 yeah I may have been speaking a bit hastily, I’ve only really played 11, and I’ll definitely play the 3 remake when it comes out. But yeah I have no reference for the older games. I was just saying that since 12 had been announced and they said it was going to be a more mature and dark game. So after playing 11 and seeing that it was cartoony but still serious at times, it just made me afraid that they’d take it in a direction that focused solely on how dark and gritty it is.

Diffrider Kouen yeah, no. That’s the problem now: he’s too good. His specials do too much damage, Random Crits and self-destruct switches are now a thing, and he can block projectiles with his shield. As much as I love that Hero’s finally in the game, let alone absolutely stacked, I can kind of see why hoes are mad at that, but you can’t get mad and say nobody cares about a game that literally influenced JRPG’s as we know them!

A legendary series beyond compare. Incredible stories, masterfully crafted gameplay and one of the greatest, most rousing motifs in gaming history. Not even The Legend of Zelda can compare to this, and it's one of the most well known franchises in gaming history.
From the first Final Fantasy all the way to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, none of these games may have existed in their current forms without Dragon Quest.

I remember that when I was little, Dragon Quest VIII for ps2 caught my attention a lot. At that time there was no youtube, no gameplays or anything and I didn't even know what the game was about, but I was attracted to it. In the end I was an idiot and that year I chose as a birthday present the game Family Guy for ps2 (what a shit). Many years later, I thought about buying Dragon Quest Builders 2, which is not even a main game, and that's when everything changed. Now Dragon Quest XI is my favorite game and I'm doing my best to be able to play the VIII. I'm also playing the original trilogy and I'm reading the mangas and watching the anime. I have gone crazy with this saga, help.

A perfect ying yang. For Final Fantasy's complexity, there's Dragon Quest's simplicity. For Final Fantasy's bleakness, there's Dragon Quest's hope. (Plus it feels like Dragon Quest is the only JRPG left with a simple optimistic plot that makes you feel like an old fashioned hero, everything else is too grim and story twists)
Have to say that the dragon quest builders overture sounds more better than the others even though some were in 8 bit which 3D games weren’t a thing back in those days obviously though have to admit that I like the builders more since it makes me think about the beginning of the Middle Ages across Europe even though this game is obviously based off medieval things since Europe had castles as well as taverns etc but the builders song sounds like the beginning of the Middle Ages
I was born mid-80s, and I've played the first Dragon Warrior (which was named so on NES due to another company having rights to the name Dragon Quest), and I loved it. Played remake on Gameboy color as well (was DW1&2). Stopped playing DQ games during my teens, played DQ8 in my 20s, which I think sparked my nostalgia and love for the games, which I now and still play in my 30s. Also started playing Dragon Quest of the Stars on Tablet. =)

I remember that when I was little, Dragon Quest VIII for ps2 caught my attention a lot. At that time there was no youtube, no gameplays or anything and I didn't even know what the game was about, but I was attracted to it. In the end I was an idiot and that year I chose as a birthday present the game Family Guy for ps2 (what a shit).
Many years later, I thought about buying Dragon Quest Builders 2, which is not even a main game, and that's when everything changed. Now Dragon Quest XI is my favorite game and I'm doing my best to be able to play the VIII. I'm also playing the original trilogy and I'm reading the mangas and watching the anime. I have gone crazy with this saga, help.

Anyone else hear the similarities to the beginning of DQ 1's overture and DQ 11's overture?
God, I remember playing one of the games for the DS and I always got stuck on one of the bosses for the game. And then when I come back to this overture, I start to tear up because I remember a simpler time.
Literally the only music I listen to when I turn on music.
Christmas 2012: Wow, this new Mario monopoly game looks sick! Wait, who are those guys on the box? Mario x Dragon... Quest? Huh, weird.
Summer 2013: I can't wait to play some Mario Sports Mix! Hold up... Slime from Fortune Street is in this? Neat.
January 2019: Boy, all of these Erdrick rumors for Smash are getting out of hand.
June 2019: BANJO AND KAZOOIE! LET'S GOOO! Oh, and the Erdrick leak was real too. Cool I guess. I wish it was Slime though. At least I know him from Fortune Street and Sports Mix.
Christmas 2019: Dragon Quest 11... I've heard good things about this game. I might as well give it a shot
November 2020: I loved DQ11 so much, and I can spend some myNintendo gold points to get 35% off DQ8 on 3DS. Might as well give it a go.
Summer 2021: I NEED MORE DRAGON QUEST! FIRST I'M GONNA PLAY THE ERDRICK TRILOGY. AND I CAN'T FORGET ABOUT THE ZENETHIAN TRILOGY. OH, AND DQ MONSTERS AND ROCKET SLIME AND DQ9 AND I'M PUMPED ABOUT DQ12, TREASURES, AND DQ3 REMAKE! I'M OBSESSED! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I still refuse to believe that they found a way to fit the Dragon Quest 5 Overture on the SNES. That game is some dark magic that god himself has tried to hide from us. Way more instrumental than the Yoshi's Island ending theme

A perfect ying yang. For Final Fantasy's complexity, there's Dragon Quest's simplicity. For Final Fantasy's bleakness, there's Dragon Quest's hope.
(Plus it feels like Dragon Quest is the only JRPG left with a simple optimistic plot that makes you feel like an old fashioned hero, everything else is too grim and story twists)
Have to say that the dragon quest builders overture sounds more better than the others even though some were in 8 bit which 3D games weren’t a thing back in those days obviously though have to admit that I like the builders more since it makes me think about the beginning of the Middle Ages across Europe even though this game is obviously based off medieval things since Europe had castles as well as taverns etc but the builders song sounds like the beginning of the Middle Ages

I feel bad for American gamers in the 80's and 90's. All the video game artwork sucked!
I was born mid-80s, and I've played the first Dragon Warrior (which was named so on NES due to another company having rights to the name Dragon Quest), and I loved it. Played remake on Gameboy color as well (was DW1&2). Stopped playing DQ games during my teens, played DQ8 in my 20s, which I think sparked my nostalgia and love for the games, which I now and still play in my 30s. Also started playing Dragon Quest of the Stars on Tablet. =)
Probably the market team hated the Akira Toriyama's artwork.
