i love these idents! they're quite unique and much better than the one "mess" idents. Also i am quite concerned why your videos have always been in 4:3
@@Connie_TinuityError Panasonic DMR-EZ49VEBK. I originally bought one of these in 2010, and since earlier this year I have been using an identical model originally bought as a spare in 2013.
All of the original MP4 files I have uploaded have the same dimensions - 720x576 - yet some look slightly squashed up like this one, while others don't, and I really can't understand why.
@@desandmick It seems like UA-cam has reduced the dimensions from 720x576 to (according to Stats For Nerds) 600x480. UA-cam has no native support for 576p and if you do upload a video in 576p the video resolution will be reduced to 480p. You should also consider upscaling these videos to 720p, that way there won't be a loss in resolution or much of a loss in quality when uploading to UA-cam. Another advantage is that you can upload in 50FPS (UA-cam allows for 50FPS playback if a video is at least 720p but not in 480p).

CA's name checking themselves ... Interesting 🤓 and I'd not even noticed these idents slip in, these are good 👌 thanks 👍

Does that CRT TV that you have this DVD recorder hooked up to really have a Digital TV tuner built in?
No it doesn't - it's the DVD recorder that has the digital tuner.
@@desandmick What model is it and when did you get it?

@@desandmick Hmmm, interesting. Also, what exactly did you use to get Digital TV in the early 2000s?
@@Connie_TinuityError I had one of the early OnDigital boxes.
Does anyone know where the bench and market idents were filmed?
The bench (and sky) idents were filmed on Windmill Hill, Hitchin, Hertfordshire. The market idents were filmed in Scoresby Street, Southwark, London
Des and Mick Online - TV & Radio how do you know this?
Des and Mick Online - TV & Radio last question: do you know where the field idents were filmed?
@@katygaston8777 Some people on an online forum worked out the locations.
@@katygaston8777 Unfortunately no one has so far identified the location of the farmland/field idents

Aspect ratio is a bit dodgy here

@@desandmick I mean like the black bars at the top
@@owenj There are black bars because these originate as DVD recordings which are in 4:3.
