@@shinydavidhowell remember the "Warehouse" ident was made when the original set of idents got delayed and is the only ident of the set to have part of the space overlay the "Subtitles" text. it is a somewhat newer addition.
I honestly really like these. I grew up with the "Circles" and "Rhythm and Movement" idents, and it's nice to see idents where stuff is actually happening. Oneness was nice for seeing different communities, but weren't very interesting to actually look at.
These somehow manage to be a mixture of all of the last few BBC One ident sets. It's almost a halfway point between Oneness and Rhythm & Movement in terms of the on-screen action, and the Lens motif obviously harks back to the Circles that separated those two. I definitely don't hate these, which makes them an upgrade on Oneness. And they seem to have launched with news safe idents out of the gate, which is also an upgrade on Oneness 😂
Better than the Oneness idents definitely, but they're still not particularly original. RTVS1 in Slovakia started using something similar in 2015: ua-cam.com/video/WjXAG0kSUS8/v-deo.html
I love how they masked the logo and texts so it feels like they're part of the ident itself.
It's weird how the "Subtitles" strap sometimes gets this but not always. Wonder if they'll tweak these to make that consistent?

So much better than "Oneness"; at least those can finally be consigned to history.

I love this ident! The new graphic of BBC is Amazing 😄
What an upgrade. 🙌
Can’t really believe those who say these are rubbish and uninspired.
It’s definitely a million times better than Oneness.

This ident pays homage to BBC One in the past few years.
@@ians4535 indeed. This year is the BBC's centenary year after all.
Don’t forget the Globe motif!
i think the Lens thing harks back to the virtual globe of 1991
This gotta be the most beautiful ident I have seen
I get why they introduced a new station branding but I like the old one better... The "round" ident wasn't as clinical
There's a special place in hell for the oneness idents before this...
Still prefer the hot air balloon.
the first few lens idents remind me of the 2002 idents
wonder if there's a "sombre" ident

Yeah, but BBC HD had something similar too. In 2009.
@@nottimhortons Didn't know of those idents before commenting. Thanks for the info :)
Better than oneness, but then couldn’t have been much worse, still not particularly Imaginative.
Is the news intro compilation happening?
These are rubbish.
