It worked perfectly except you misspoke when referencing the wires to solder on the access door. The correct wires are yellow and purple not the yellow and brown. Otherwise awesome tutorial!
I love how at the beginning of the video, you show the gun firing with modifications, and what your going to be doing during the video. Most of the Toy gun UA-camrs I watch don't do that, but you were the first one I've seen.
I did it here in Brazil, it worked and the difference is monstrous, you need to make a correction in the video about soldering the yellow and blue wires (to prevent others from burning their blasters), excellent!
this is a good mod. just like watching videos like this. when you took it apart I was wondering if you could replace the barrel piece for the one to use muzzle attachments.
OMG! I am never this early! Mag if you reply it would make my day. I have watched almost all your videos and you are one of the best nerf channels i have ever seen!
I just got mine. I've been doing mine with 8x AA trays as I hate ordering batteries. It gives almost the same performance and it's pretty much plug and play. Great job Mag212!!! Also I emailed you about the full auto centurion a while ago. If it's still available, I'd like to purchase it.
I am planning on running mine on 8x AA rechargeable batteries (for about 10.4 volts) as well. Have you had any problems with yours running it all stock like that? How much have you used the blaster this way?
Really easy to follow video. I just used it to get an idea of the internals as I bought an apparently now working one from a boot fare. The pusher wasn’t working but flywheels spun. I used the vid to remove the mag and jam door lock to simplify things and seemed to get power back. As people have noted probably a non activating lock can cause you problems. Only thing I noticed was that the gear wheels in the pusher motor assembly appeared to have no metal pin /spindle so no idea if they are supposed to have or not or whether the friction it with the pusher belt/jam door just keeps them together.
How to do the access door lock removal with legos You need 1x3 piece an 1x2 flag piece put the flat piece on the 1x3 Turn it upside down and have the flat piece ur direction Insert it and *BOOM* time saver
Just throwing in the IMRs without removing internal resistors or thermistors will not work. These components limit the electricity the blaster can handle. If you leave them in, the resistors won't allow that amount of power and it will turn off automatically.
Thanks for the guide. Was wondering if it's possible to convert the batteries to a higher voltage? We (me & my Son) have a lot of 6v & 7.6v batteries for rc cars & was wondering if there is a way to use those instead? & If possible how would I go about it? Thank you!
Hi there, Why do you remove the circuit boards that control the flywheel motors? Are they weak and burn out if you just add good batt power? I have added some good batts and get a wicked performance without removing the circuit board.....but will do it if it needs it
I have one of those holiky off brand nerf blaster like the nerf srtyfe and was wondering if you had a mod to make the 3 burst and full auto setting but the darts come out super slow .. is there a way to make this holiky blaster have a higher rate of fire ??
I just want to modify mine so the voltage is better. I've had my hyperfire for two years and it performs awfully now, barely shooting more than two rounds per second even with highest power batteries. Do I need to follow every step or just the voltage mod for better ROF?
Less resistance, but this mod guide is stupid cause he still has the other board connected, he should just directly wire everything like I did. works great!
Is there any reason you need to remove the first 2 locks? I can't see a reason to spin up the motors if you haven't got a clip in, or a reason to spin it up with the breach open. Or do they somehow effect the rest of the guns mechanics...
hey mag212, only doing the motor rewire and the battery/voltage modification should work too, shouldn't it? also, did you use any special cable to rewire / metal to contact everything? and do you use normal batteries in the end or some special ones?
if you are gonna do this you might wanna extend the "teeth" on the conveyor belt så it accepts crappy darts :) its an easy fix and make´s it so mush more fun
@mag212, after i made the mod of any nerf, i realized that the distance have drop, i'm hitting about 30-40 feet in distance, is that true? Are you having this problem also or just me?
wouldn't the performance of the blaster be decreased by adding double AA batteries instead of D batteries? does the blaster last as long before needing to replace batteries?
This was a really well made video and it makes me want to get a hyperfire because of its mod potential but there was something throwing me off. U were being a little to wordy and didn't really need to use a large amount of words, that is makes some channels not as popular because people start to fall asleep on ur videos but other wise it was a great vid I hope to see more
For the people who did this mod, how are the blasters motors holding up with the massive over volt they are getting? Sorry for my English I'm still learning.
I’ve followed this guide in terms of the wiring modifications, but using tamiya power dash motors and a 2s lipo battery. Gone over it 10 times and the Darn thing won’t work 😔
Voltage yes, amp draw is another thing but for something like this, it should be fine. If you're worried, completely rewiring with a higher guage is a good idea
bro i followed every instruction on your guide, for some reasons the blaster isnt working, i also wonder what happened to the purple wire on the door lock and the black wire on the mag lock

Stephen Ratliff he had meant the yellow and ground wire
If I new that my hyperfire wouldn't be in the trash
suman sharma is it that hard to solder and get new wires?
@@narenthebeesechurgerman422 true bro
I did the yellow and brown wires and sat looking at it wondering why the fuck it isn’t working until I saw your comment

Mag212 you a exceptionally good at explaining and keeping it to the point. Excellent work.
Mag212 is the best channel out there for mod guides!
great job with the tutorials man :D

i know i agree
Agreed
this is a good mod. just like watching videos like this. when you took it apart I was wondering if you could replace the barrel piece for the one to use muzzle attachments.
Other people ran into trouble when modifying the Hyperfire...I didn't have any problems :)
hey mag, u got one for the stryfe?
um like 1 min into the video WHY DO YOU NEED TO FIRE THE BLASTER WITHOUT A MAG IN IT? *POINTLESS!!!*
If you have a dart stuck in the cage, it can help to push it out.
Wuz up
U said flip off the plate
OMG! I am never this early! Mag if you reply it would make my day. I have watched almost all your videos and you are one of the best nerf channels i have ever seen!
Have a wonderful day :)
wow your voice changed a lot from your older videos
lol, right?

Simple and straightforward.👍
Thanks :) That was my goal, after all.
mag212 dang this thing is insane
How does putting 3 AA batteries help? that would be less voltage and less amperage
You need specific batteries, those being trustfire batteries
I just got mine. I've been doing mine with 8x AA trays as I hate ordering batteries. It gives almost the same performance and it's pretty much plug and play. Great job Mag212!!! Also I emailed you about the full auto centurion a while ago. If it's still available, I'd like to purchase it.

What kind of wire was used for the motor and battery?
Are there any downsides to this modification? My friends discourage me from modifying flywheel blasters for fear of burning out the blaster.
The reason why is they think so is because of the batteries. Most motors need lipo to function and perform. There are no downsides btw
Wow, great content. Mod guide quality and level on par with Coop772 and other UA-camrs with 500K+ subscribers.
Awesome man..
From older experience I ready know how to modify electric blasters, but it's cool to see how others do it as well

You said solder the yellow and brown wire together did you mean yellows s blue? 2:33
What batteries did you use and where can I get them
Used this to fix a problem with the jam door. Thank you.
Nice mod guide. Thanks for the linking my channel. Still need to mod my own. So many mod, so little time.
Saw your video and just had to like.

Thanks dude I'm totally going Fix up my son's Hyper fire.
Is that circuit board around the battery area necessary or can I take it out?
What kind of ranges does the hyperfire get in modified form?
did you use 2 imr and 1 dummy or 3 imr?
does it work without rewiring?
thanks in advance
Just throwing in the IMRs without removing internal resistors or thermistors will not work. These components limit the electricity the blaster can handle. If you leave them in, the resistors won't allow that amount of power and it will turn off automatically.
Thanks. Love your guides

Hi - did you end up removing the circuit board or kept it?
Please update
remove all that shit, and do MTB's rewire for the rapidstrike since there both full auto
they remove the circuit board because there are resisters that stop lots of the current and voltage from getting to the motors
what exactly did you do to make the motors perform so much better, and could it not damage it performing so much faster over its design limits?
If i do a voltage mod without doing anything to my motors will it be okay or will it end up breaking?
You can get D to AA battery adaptors and have rechargable AA batterys
Awesome video. Question for ur battery replacement part. Could in theory I use a Milwaukee m12 battery holder and battery instead?
I have one of those holiky off brand nerf blaster like the nerf srtyfe and was wondering if you had a mod to make the 3 burst and full auto setting but the darts come out super slow .. is there a way to make this holiky blaster have a higher rate of fire ??

Is it possible to use the stock 4 D batteries with this mod? Where I am batteries are cheap and I can afford the stock 4 D batteries
One question - why did you remove that circuit board from the two motors near the barrel? What does removing it achieve?
Less resistance, but this mod guide is stupid cause he still has the other board connected, he should just directly wire everything like I did. works great!
Great stuff! How about the rev trigger spring. Is there a trick to reassembling that? Can't find any videos about that on UA-cam. Thanks!
Is there any reason you need to remove the first 2 locks? I can't see a reason to spin up the motors if you haven't got a clip in, or a reason to spin it up with the breach open. Or do they somehow effect the rest of the guns mechanics...
Because sometimes they don’t register properly and when you have it in it won’t work
I had this problem for a couple years until I did this
You are good at stuff ☺
what about the black and purple wire? are they judt free floating?
If you skip the resistance removal of the flywheels step, will it still function well?
Performance will be improved however not as good of an improvement as if you removed them
for the black wire do you sauder to spring or plate?
hey mag212, only doing the motor rewire and the battery/voltage modification should work too, shouldn't it?
also, did you use any special cable to rewire / metal to contact everything?

yes it should because locks dont decrease performance also he used IMR's but you could use trustfires or ultrafires
im getting one tomorrow. gunna modify!!
Can you send me a good link to the batteries you recommend. Way to many options. Thanks
The access door lock removal was pointless
Since the pusher mech is in the jam door and if the jam door is open the blaster will not fire anyways
Evan Duplessis it’s not, it makes rewiring easier
What kinds of batterys should i use? a saw IMR and surefire but there are like a million different types of batteries and idk what one to choose.

if i want to make the blaster have a higher rpm, then is it necessary to rewire the motor and remove that circuit board?
correct, use MTB's rapidstrike tutorial that even has motor braking in it

the specific type of batteries he uses have more voltage
