when I listen to this song I think to myself, "we all have our own personal vices, I mean I smoke sometimes and eat meat, I am not and probably shouldn't do that" then it comes to me the realization that others have vices as well, so I am no one to judge on someone elses vices but, BUT as long as you are not crossing lines and hurting or controlling someone else you are ok, your vices are between you and God.
It's been years since i listen to this song for the last time, interesting, i saw it on the series, Mare of Easttown, on a actress t shirt, writing "Dave Matthews Band" i remembered and came to listen..

I made the remark on UA-cam that "Dave Matthews Band was a Genre all of their own" on another classic Dave song...I think it was either "You Might Die Trying" or "Crash Into Me" Hahaha wow I agree unconditionally, but when I describe them its goes something like: Heaven and every soothing rock/funk song conceived a child and that child grew up and married Bob Dylan's son and produced the awesome that is this band!

hey just to let you know music gets popular eventually i got into rap n 2 years later just about everyone was listening to rap.... then i got into emo about a year later half everyone was listening to rap or emo... then i got into country after just listening to old rock and then now country is pretty much the most popular music right now

I heard Dave Matthew is Canadian, can anyone confirm that for me, I'm Indigenous Canadian. I love Alanis, saw her in concert in Windsor, ON. She was tearing up trying to sing "No pressure over cappuccino." When the crown quieted I stood up and yelled, "We love you Alanis!" Made my day she said, thank you.

@Mamasitarose1 God Bless You! I lost my husband 6 and 1/2 yrs ago...I would sit in his truck and listen to our Dave Matthews cds, along with other favorites...it helped to ease my grief for awhile and helped me feel closer to him somehow.

This song really helped me through some hard times. when my mom, brother, step-sister died in a car accident I played this song on repeat 143 times. It totally speaks to me. It's like 'Things are gonna happen and then you gotta be like well ok." Anyone who dislikes this song can seriously get AIDS. This is almost better than Lil B.

"The Space Between" is a deep meaningful song, alot of DMB songs are, i love DMB been a long time fan. Yeah those resentments sometimes can't fade easy. Sorry it didn't work out man. But better things are in store, it's a part of life. i think "The Space Between" is definitly where we most all want it to come together.

Bleh, this is sure to receive some sort of reply but I love DMB, they're one of my favorite bands. I just simply can't STAND any of their pop "hits" like this one. Anyone saying this is their favorite song by them is greatly missing out. DMB is soooo much more than this.
