1 year after my previous WR in Sonic Generations Any% i finally beat my time and i improve a lot. This is one of the best runs i have ever done, if not the best one. I feel like with this run i am done with Any% of this game for now. I don't think i will go back and improve it more unless something new comes along(Or i decide to go full IL stats lol).
~Highlight of the Run: Rooftop Run Triple Jump. Don you Believe in Miracles?!
~Low point of the run: Probably Bad RNG in Death Egg Robo & Sloppy Crisis City. Personally i wouldn't really call them mistakes.

One of the best things about Sonic Generations? That GUN Truck is now so determined to get you, not even M-Speed can slow it down.
That fuckin truck scared the shit out me , especially when I was playing as classic sonic
Which meant Eggman must had told G.U.N. before they met Shadow and mistook that hedgehog for Sonic in Sonic Adventure 2. "He's freaky fast that you gotta jetpack yourself toward him, alright?"
I got BEHIND the G.U.N. Truck in Sonic Generations City Escape Act 2 by jumping and stomping before getting fired off in the opposite direction, only to be sent BACK in the INTENDED direction, although that seldom worked out for the best.

No idea if you still check these comments, but if so: how easy is this game to learn if you're already a speedrunner?
Its one of the easier Sonic games to learn but as any other game you need to practice and get familiar with the run
Debating learning this or Sonic 2, basically.
My advice is to learn and speedrun the one you enjoy the most cause you will be playing it either a lot or you might get frustrated at some things and that will result in leaving it down the line.
Dont know if you took Frokneks advice but he speaks true. I made the mistake of skipping straight to speedrunning Sonic Mania before actually enjoying it first and it kind of ruined the game for me a bit, making it far more frustrating than it needed to be. I got a lot of times close to the world records but the frustration that I brought to myself wasnt worth the trouble. You really do want to speedrun a game you really like over anything else. That's the honest truth.

Something i've always felt like missing in this game is Marble Garden (or Icecap) from Sonic 3.

I find it funny what some people will dislike. You actively clicked on a sonic generations speedrun that has a world record. Was it not fast enough? Not Sonic-y enough? What was there to dislike? I mean there are always some people who just do it to do it, but come on. Good speedrun though.
people who dislikes believe cheats were used while a speedrun is rejected and leave a bad rep on said runner if any cheats are used.
This fact is worsened on TAS [Tool Assisted Speedrun], in which each inputs are frame entered (and we can see stuff than common player cannot do)
I really enjoyed those moments where you took routes I did not know existed or could be used, let alone executed without dying a lot. Two of them I remember were at the beginning of Modern Sonic in Chemical Plant 3:32 and Modern Sonic in Sky Sanctuary 8:19.
